I think there's something to be said about it rebounding from nearly 7.50 - But USD valuation isn't the whole story, of course.

Bitcoin is like the fighter that gets the crap beat out of him round after round, but is barely standing every time the bell rings. The opponent however is getting weaker and weaker every round and yet not only does Bitcoin not fall, it recovers faster and faster every round. I know where I'll put my money.

Should keep in mind the Bitcoin Tiger is still a zygote.

I can't speak for other magazines, but all-in-all Bitcoin Magazine has a pretty good attitude towards Bitcoin.  Wink

To reply to the title of your article:

In general there are 2 attitudes towards bitcoin that I see:

1. Positive, cheerful comments on bitcoins "disruptiveness"

2. Negative, warning and doubtful comments on its flaws and risks, also SR

Those two types of articles alternate with each other depending of current events or releases of record (like reuters, ars technica, forbes) then they are copied into own publications.

Um... media serving general audience quickly changes focus due to inability of general audience to keep focus. It is normal.
I hope this december news of revard-halfing will make a big splash.
