I don't know how much transfer budget Bayern Munich would like to allocate for the striker transfer. But no matter what they are in need of strengthening the lineup with a solid striker. It would be much better if we see them going for a complete forward. They have played with Lewandowski for years and become really successful in this time period. He has always had the biggest role in their successes. Considering that they are aware of the importance of making such transfer there are a couple of good players in the market.

But most of them would cost Bayern Munich quite high sum of money. If they don't plan to make many big transfers maybe they can be willing to pay a sum over 100 million for a striker.

I agree with your thoughts on this. I'm sure all Bayern Munich fans would agree. And I would like to add that there are a few strikers in the world that fit your description. There is no alternative other than Harry Kane and Osimhen. I think Harry Kane could create a second Lewandowski effect for them. But Osimhen's style of play may not be directly compatible with Bayern Munich. Osimhen could create a second Sadio Mane effect for Bayern Munich. I think Harry Kane is the best alternative for them. They finished this season as champions without a good forward. But they may not do the same next season. They have to transfer a good striker. And Harry Kane is the best name for them.

Actually I think Vlahovic can also be added to this list. He can also play as a complete forward in my opinion. He is a pretty young striker just as Osimhen also. Kane is definitely one step ahead due to his being very experienced solid striker. But he is about to become 30 in a month so the amount Tottenham demand for him is just too much.

Instead of spending that much money on Kane, Bayern Munich should go for Osimhen by paying the nearly same amount of money. Or they can just go for Vlahovic who can cost way lower than the other two alternatives. If Bayern Munich don't intend to splurge on a striker too much then Vlahovic is really much more favorable.

Baumgartner is a beyond what people understand levels of talent people are sleeping on. With Leipzig I think he will be able to show a lot more of his talents, this kid is only 22 years old I believe and he has skillset of much older players, he plays with fire and he plays with wisdom.

I bet you that after they buy him, and make him play for a few seasons alone, he is going to shine so much that he has a potential to be bought by the huge clubs. He may end up with Real Madrid, city, PSG, Bayern type of club where he will worth 100 million one day. Maybe I am wrong, after all I am not a scout, but Leipzig got a big future star with that transfer and they did the right thing, definitely the move of the summer that will have the biggest impact.

Bayern Munich players don't cost a fortune but their qualities are extremely valuable. Bayern Munich has estimated finances for the transfer market, and it is extremely likely that they would scout potential players for the club. Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel prevailed in a few accolades with his new club, and he is working hard to take the club to new heights with the addition of new players to his roster. Bayern Munich is a top elite club in the Bundesliga, with the best league performance. The Bavarians have been looking for a great striker since the departure of Robert Lewandowski, and they have missed his presence in the Allianz Arena.

getting a great striker like Lewandowski is something that until now has not been fulfilled by Bayern. there are even rumors that Sadio Mane will leave Bayern because his performance at Bayern does not match the expectations of management and fans.

Quote
Bayern Munich are starting to be moved to use a young striker. The German League giants are reportedly not allowing Malik Tillman to leave. Malik Tillman, of course, his name is still foreign to football lovers. He is a striker who came out of the Die Roten academy, but was overlooked because in previous seasons they preferred to rely on Robert Lewandowski.

I read in an article that Bayern in the coming season will focus on young strikers because they also haven't found a replacement for Lewandowski, we'll see how the news goes, however, Bayern will have to fight hard to improve their performance.

as i have already written here, it is now official: Gerardo Seoane will become coach of borussia mönchengladbach for the new season. the 35-yo swiss, who previously coached bayer leverkusen in the bundesliga, succeeds Daniel Farke, who was sacked after the last matchday of the 2022/23 season. GS signs a contract until june 2026.

there are things that are very difficult to understand, why did they dismiss Daniel Farke when mönchengladbach had an acceptable performance, mönchengladbach finished in 10th place in the bundesliga, what did the club's management expect? Could it be that the objective of the Mönchengladbach management is for the team to get a place in the Bundesliga? but for that to happen, mönchengladbach would have to overcome strong opponents like the top 6 teams from last season, something that I don't believe mönchengladbach would be able to do, for me the problem with mönchengladbach is not in the coach, but in the lack of investment in good players so that they are

strong to compete with the big 6 teams in the bundesliga, anyway we'll see next season how the new coach will do, if he doesn't perform well, I see him being fired early and his contract until 2026 will be a headache for the management of mönchengladbach, signing a long-term contract without having seen in practice how the coach is doing with the team is a mistake in my opinion, the management could have opted for a short-term contract, and if he had if doing well then the management could extend his contract for a long term

I'm curious about what kind of transfers Bayern Munich will be making this summer. I have checked Transfermarkt about rumours related to them and interestingly haven't seen anything related to a centre-forward. It looks like they are prioritizing a left-back, right-back, centre-back and a midfielder right now. The recent rumours are all about these positions.

My source: https://www.transfermarkt.com/bayern-munich/geruechte/verein/27

The latest centre-forward rumour was in late May and Vlahovic was the name rumoured with them. This makes me think like Bayern Munich don't have any plans to splurge on a centre-forward this summer. Because there is an alternative like Osimhen as well but his price tag must be around 130 million euros.

On the other hand Vlahovic might cost around 70-80 million euros I guess. Besides he is also really young and skilled. I think he could also be the right choice for them.

How do you fight this battle?
There is no one-side-fits-all approach to stopping gambling. One of the things I always preach to my married friends who complain about being unable to do this is to have an honest conversation with their spouse. They need someone who is a non-gambler to hold them accountable. Their spouse would be perfect. In that conversation, they should discuss putting them in charge of their money. That is  their spouse should be in charge of their bank account and finances so that the second they receive any money it is not in their control. The advantage of this option is that it prevents them from squandering the money on gambling.
Well, one of the ways that the person who has an addiction has is that they can help out with their friends, for example, friends can take them to the movies , take steps, swim in a lake, enjoy , go out , have a good time, too play sports, there are many ways to get out of that abyss, if the person does not have friends, I could do what he likes the most , what he wants to do and what Prevented him from doing because he was involved in the game, it is time to do it, you dare this is how they make the brain become active in other things and can take Advantage of everything related to this, of course it also Depends on the type of personality of the person , if they want to accept this type of help.

In any case, we can be excited boys. The Bundesliga Season 23/24 will certainly be fun again. I will then adjust the title of this thread as soon as the transfer window for the new season begins. GG.

i don't think next season will be as exciting as the last one in terms of the battle for the championship...
but we can look forward to the two promoted teams, fc heidenheim and sv darmstadt.
especially for heidenheim, who are now the 57th club to complete a season in germany's top league it's going to be very exciting - we'll see what all the new season brings and whether we see another (third) promoted team in the form of hamburger sv Smiley

I couldn't have agreed with you more about that. This was Dortmund's biggest title chance thanks to Bayern Munich's wasting their chances one by one. Bayern Munich surprised us all by losing so many more points compared to past seasons. But even this wasn't enough for Dortmund to become champions. Bayern Munich literally served the title on a silver platter for them I mean.

I don't think that we would see Bayern Munich this much vulnerable twice in a row. The reason why they were like that last season must be due to making bad calls about their manager. I mean why would you change your manager in a critical time period of a season? Tuchel didn't have much time to have everything under control once again.

However now he will have the needed time to start over and make Bayern Munich great again.  Grin

What do you think about people blaming Tuchel for nearly losing the Bundesliga title to Dortmund? Honestly I'm quite surprised to hear this kind of things because Tuchel hasn't had even a long time period with the team yet. Isn't it too harsh to criticize him in this way? I think that Tuchel doesn't have anything to do with this. He had such a short time period left in the remaining part of the season with high expectations from him.

In my opinion, Nagelsmann was replaced with Tuchel in the wrong time. That must be one of the reasons why the team decided to sack Salihamidzic and Kahn both. This is one of the features I like about Bayern Munich. The discipline level is always high which helps the problems become solved before the situation gets even worse.

We don't have any clue about next season yet but I believe Bayern Munich and Tuchel will have a good relationship. We can see the usual domination by them again especially in this league.

Bundesliga Season 22/23 Recap:

Wow, what a season finale. Bayern really did it again and became Bundesliga champions once again. It's their 11th title in a row, sick.

Dortmund had all the chances, but really managed to lose the title with a 2:2 against Mainz 05 in the last minute.

Besides Bayern and Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Union Berlin (crazy!) qualify for the Champions League. The former Bundesliga giants Hertha BSC and Schalke 04 are relegated to the second division. This should make the 2. Bundesliga also extremely exciting next year. In the relegation round, two other Bundesliga veterans will meet, namely VfB Stuttgart vs. Hamburger SV.

In any case, we can be excited boys. The Bundesliga Season 23/24 will certainly be fun again. I will then adjust the title of this thread as soon as the transfer window for the new season begins. GG.

Source: Google, Bundesliga, 29th matchday

I'm pretty excited to see whether FC Bayern can defend its lead in the Bundesliga against Mainz 05 on Saturday. In addition, Dortmund plays Frankfurt at home and on Sunday evening we will see a very close game (IMHO) when Bayer Leverkusen plays RB Leipzig. This one is all about the Champions League places.

As usual I placed some bets on various games. Let's see how it goes this weekend. What are your picks guys?

but the club also immediately presented a successor today. Sebastian Hoeneß (last on the bench at tsg hoffenheim) gets a contract in stuttgart until summer 2025

This weekend is the 26th matchday of the Bundesliga. And it's going to be massive. On Saturday we will see the top match FC Bayern vs. Borussia Dortmund. Pretty hyped!
Yes, the FC Bayern vs. Borussia Dortmund match is definitely a highlight of the weekend and it's really very difficult to say who will win. Actually, I almost always bet on FC Bayern, but in this match I don't bet on either team. I think FC Bayern will hopefully be highly motivated to win the game, but it will certainly be no different at Borussia Dortmund as both teams are fighting for first place in the table. Even if it's not a game I like to bet on, I almost think Dortmund will win. FC Bayern is very good, but also weakens here and there this season. So I'm very, very excited to see who's going to win or if we're going to see a maybe fair draw.  Tongue
It is clearly the main focus of the media highlighting the Bundesliga because the match between FC Bayern Munchen and Borussia Dortmund is a derby match which will show who deserves to be the leader of the standings after Bayern Munich were slipped last week by one point because Bayern Munich lost to Leverkusen with a score of 2 -1. And this match is to show Bayern Munich's first match under Thomas Tuchel, who has just replaced the previous coach, Negelsmann.
I also often bet on Bayern Munich, but it seems that right now I have doubts about Bayern Munich and I will bet on Dortmund.

I am already quite excited. Pretty likely, this will be the highlight of the season. First place against second and of course Thomas Tuchel against his old club. That sounds like a great football match with a lot of tension to me, haha.

What do you guys think? Dortmund or Bayern? Probably the decisive game of the season.

fifa has imposed a transfer ban on bundesliga club 1. fc köln for the next two transfer periods, which means for the entire 2023/24 season.

Uff, what a joke. Sucks, that small clubs like Köln will be punished, while other European clubs get a special treatment.

fifa has imposed a transfer ban on bundesliga club 1. fc köln for the next two transfer periods, which means for the entire 2023/24 season.
the reason for this is a new signing made by the club at the beginning of 2022. at that time, the talented slovenian striker Jaka Cuber had transferred from olimpija ljubljana to cologne's youth department. cologne is said to have incited the then 16-yo to breach his contract so that no transfer fee would flow to the club he had left.
the ban is now legally binding. the only chance cologne still has is to appeal to the cas. furthermore, JC has now been banned for the next 4 months and the bundesliga club has to pay a €54000 fine to ljubljana.

Good to see the positive and smiling of face of one the greatest modern day German football tactician again. The confidence that Thomas Tuchel brings to any team he's managing is another reason why he flourishes wherever he goes.

Yep, pretty likely and it looks like Thomas Tuchel is about to get some help from one of his former assistant coaches from Chelsea. The German Bild reports that FC Bayern is in contract talks with assistant coach Anthony Barry:

Bayern have made a compensation offer to take Anthony Barry, but it is understood to fall well short of Chelsea’s valuation. Barry will stay away from the training ground and Stamford Bridge while Chelsea haggle with Bayern over his future [@Matt_Law_DT]

Then let's hope that Tuchel gets his desired assistant coach as soon as possible. Anyway, pretty crazy that now already transfer fees need to be paid for assistant coaches, lol.

However, this is probably how the European football business works in 2023.  Shocked

Bayern Munich's decision to sack Julian Nagelsmann who only lost three games this season and hired Tuchel must be one of the toughest decisions that the club management has taken and I know he would want to repay the bravery of the club's heirarchy decision with finishing the season on an excellent note. Winning the UEFA Champions League this season will be the ultimate and best way to pay back the club's bravery decision and with Tuchel's established records, who will say that he can't do it? No one I guess

yesterday late in the evening the bombshell burst in munich and the club sacked its coach Julian Nagelsmann. as his successor Thomas Tuchel is to sign a contract with bayern. and who knows TT, who is also a special character and has already had in the past as a coach also so his lapses...

Sorry for the late reply. Pretty sick development at FC Bayern.

I didn't expect them to sack Julian Nagelsmann that early. However, it's the right decision (IMHO). FC Bayern has lost 10 points to Dortmund since the winter break and you no longer had the feeling that Nagelsmann was making the team stronger. As a Bayern coach, it's not enough to get players to 95%. Rather, you are a moderator and coach at the same time. Perhaps Nagelsmann's time at Bayern simply came 10 years too early. He's still very young and you could tell that he had a hard time coaching the absolute top stars.

But maybe we'll see him as Bayern coach again in a few years. It's not like other great coaches haven't had a second chance at Bayern (Heynckes or Hitzfeld for example).

And yes to Thomas Tuchel there is not much to say: Absolute world class coach who will make Bayern even better. I think with him we may even expect (bigger) chances in the Champions League.

Of course, it is a little unexpected that Borussia Dortmund did not manage more than a 2-2 draw against Schalke 04 in the 100th Revierderby. At least I had expected a pretty clear victory for Dortmund. Let's hope that Dortmund doesn't lose any more points in the next few games and that the Bundesliga remains exciting. bayern münchen, on the other hand, can look forward to keeping cameroonian striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting for another year - he has extended his contract by a further year.

As a Bayern fan I am pretty happy about this. Despite his age, Choupo shows outstanding performances every weekend. I just hope that due to his age (33 years) he can keep the strong form in the next season. Otherwise, I can imagine that the topic of "new striker" can once again become interesting for FC Bayern. According to rumors, they are still interested in signing Harry Kane. But that's a completely different caliber economically, of course, and that's why I'm glad that Bayern currently doing well with the cheaper Choupo-Moting option.

Yes, Leipzig would have deserved a draw, but somehow it didn't work out. Even if they played well, they couldn't prevail against BVB.  Undecided

Congrats for winning your bet (and my bet as well  Tongue) because Bayern has won!  Wink
So yes, Bayern has won, but not really convincingly when Stuttgart almost achieved a draw because after Stuttgart scored for 1-2 very late, Bayern has been under big pressure during additional time.
Thank you! I guess we were both lucky with our bets. So congratulations to you too. Yes, Bayern won, but they weren't convincing, in my opinion. I would have expected a sovereign victory against Stuttgart. But I don't want to complain, at least they won.  Cheesy

Back to normal for Dortmund on second position in the table but it's still close.
Unfortunately, Union only got one point at home against Köln, where a lot of wasted chances (also for Köln) made it 0-0.
With BVB in 2nd place, it remains at least exciting. That somehow makes it more interesting than knowing beforehand that FC Bayern will be the winner of the session.  Smiley

but as you go into the game analysis, rb leipzig deserved at least a draw and if not maybe an away win.
with a total of 17 shots on goal rbl had twice as many as dortmund. the possession of 62% was for an away team that played in dortmund on world class level and also in other important aspects leipzig was better than dortmund...
nevertheless, these kind of victories show how currently bvb reacts to supposedly stronger teams and is also drifting due to the current wave of success (of now 8 wins in a row)

It will be crucial when Dortmund is facing Leipzig Friday evening. Dortmund didn't show an impressive performance against Hoffenheim, a very weak team currently.
Leipzig will be a much stronger opponent.
Maybe it's because Adeyemi is injured, but Dortmund has a very good quality in general. Especially Brandt and Bellingham have been strong recently.
BVB was able to hold its own against RB Leipzig last night and won 2-1. Marco Reus and Emre Can were the scorers and thus led to victory. This means that BVB is the leader for the time being, but that can change again today if FC Bayern plays successfully against Stuttgart, as they have the better goal difference. Since I bet on FC Bayern, I'll of course keep my fingers crossed for them.  Wink

vfl wolfsburg and bayern münchen have announced two contract extensions. at wolfsburg, dutch defender Micky van de Ven has extended his contract until the summer of 2027. the new contract has no exit clause and will therefore bring vfl wolfsburg a lot of money when they sell the player.
bayern münchen, on the other hand, can look forward to keeping cameroonian striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting for another year - he has extended his contract by a further year.

Another update for our thread today: The February Bundesliga team of the month just has been released. Dortmund dominates like crazy, lol.

Interesting picks. I agree for most picks but Adeyemi (Dortmund) and Kolo Muani (Frankfurt) have played very well and are not included. Adeyemi is injured now but he contributed a big part to Dortmund's strong performance.

Very nice performance against Union and Bayern could have even scored 5 or 6 goals in total. After leading already 3:0 in the first half, Bayern had several opportunities in the 2nd half to score.

100%. FC Bayern's problem this season is also not scoring goals, but inconsistent performance. In some games things are going extremely well, while in others absolutely nothing is working out. The upcoming Bundesliga games and the second leg of the Champions League are likely to be decisive in determining whether this will be a successful or a weak season for the club.

The following Bundesliga matches are scheduled for the weekend (match day 23):

And at FC Bayern, there seems to be another interesting development. It is possible that Benjamin Pavard will extend his contract after all, even though it has looked more likely in recent months that he will soon be leaving the club.

Bayern bosses are impressed with Benjamin Pavard's performances this year, helped by his role as a centre-back in a back 3. A contract extension beyond 2024 remains possible and more likely than it was in recent months [@_kochmaximilian]

I like the way the top three teams are so close to each other this season, the suspense of not knowing who is going to win the bundesliga makes it so interesting and attractive, i hope Union Berlin and Dortmund hold on until the end of the season, without collapsing towards the end and allow Bayern win it easily.

Borussia Dortmund have to win because they know there is a big opportunity for them to go up to first position on the table this weekend, a draw between Union Berlin v Bayern Munich is very possible, and if it happens that way and Dortmund win their own game, they would be on top. The schedule is even in their favor because they would play on saturday and have the chance to take the top position before Bayern v Union Berlin play their game on sunday.

Yes you are right. If FC Bayern don't improve its own performance, they will have a hard time against Union Berlin and could even lose their first place in the table if they suffer their third defeat. My gut says I shouldn't bet on the game and I probably won't. I can well imagine Union Berlin winning, but FC Bayern would be capable of that if they had a good day. It's not for nothing that they're still number 1 at the moment. It's really difficult to predict how the game will end.  Smiley

Yep you're right, the red card was a pretty harsh decision, so it's not surprising that Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann went bananas, haha.

Damn, it looks like your FC Bayern bet didn't go to well. Sorry buddy.

You're right, Bayern's performance has been extremely shaky in recent weeks. Somehow they have lost their routine and are weak, especially against smaller clubs. Of course, the 3:2 defeat against Borrusia Mönchengladbach this weekend fits in with this poor performances.

However, Bayern's weakness is a really positive development for the Bundesliga. We could finally get an exciting race for the Bundesliga title this year. And Dortmund is currently leading Hertha 2-0 in the last match of the matchday, making the Bundesliga table closer than it has been in a long time. FC Bayern and Dortmund would then both have 43 points. Pretty exciting.

tsg hoffenheim has sacked its coach André Breitenreiter. after the 2-5 away defeat in bochum and the current negative trend of 9 games without a win (2 draws and 7 defeats), this step was only a matter of time. AB only took over this club as coach in the summer and has unfortunately not been able to record any positive results with this squad. as a result, tsg hoffenheim now occupies 14th place and is only 3 points ahead of 16th place.

Yea, but to be honest it was pretty obvious that Breitenreiter would be sacked after this disappointing 2:5 defeat against Bochum on the weekend. However, it's the right decision, IMHO.

Hoffenheim's results have not been good for a long time and it really didn't seem as if Breitenreiter could turn things around again. I am really excited to see who will be the new coach. There are already a few names floating around as possible replacements: Ralph Hasenhüttl, Adi Hütter or Domenico Tedesco. I think all three of them can do the job, but who will? We'll probably find out in a few days.

Joao Cancelo   Manchester City    > > FC.Bayern München

This is a pretty sick one, if you ask me. Particularly since Benjamin Pavard has long been in talks with a transfer abroad and FC Bayern was thus faced with the difficult question of signing a new full-back. But this problem is now off the table with the signing of Joao Cancelo. In my opinion, Cancelo is one of the best fullbacks in the world and I'm sure he will make Bayern's squad even stronger. Actually as a fan I am pretty hyped, haha.

And even if it is currently "only" a loan with an option to buy for €70m, I'm sure that Bayern will still cleverly renegotiate here and you can certainly still push the price a bit.

In your list, however, you forgot an interesting transfer: The 28 year old midfielder from FC Bayern Marcel Sabitzer leaves FC Bayern for a loan until the end of the season to Manchester United. Both clubs have also already announced the transfer. For FC Bayern, of course, this is a loss - but in my opinion a bearable one. Bayern's midfield is still strong without Sabitzer and if you really need more players at the end of the season, you end the loan and Sabitzer comes back (but I doubt that, since we also have Laimer coming to Bayern next summer).

The German newspaper Bild has more news on the transfer: Sabitzer verlässt die Bayern

Bayern Munich is in talks to sign Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo who has asked to leave the club this month due to frustration with his role. Pep Guardiola is willing to grant Cancelo's wish and is not seeking a replacement. Bayern Munich is exploring a loan deal with a €70m option to buy the player permanently.

Do you believe Cancelo's arrival at Bayern Munich will help the club's ranks?

I never believed that Cancelo would leave the Citizens after been the best left back despite the fact that he's not a Left footed player, covering the left side of the defense when they had no left back and he created so many chances scoring goals from his position and now they sent him on loan? Is like both Pep and Cancelo are having some kind of bad relationship because I don't see why you'd loan one of your best, something fishy is going on in that locker room of Man City. And Cancelo blocking Man City on I.G, not that sure he's going to come back.

https://www.givemesport.com/88110592-joao-cancelo-has-blocked-man-city-fan-accounts-ahead-of-bayern-move

Talking about the champion of the German league with the there very poor form, losing every single point to teams they're suppose to smash and getting all 3pts and now going to get Cancelo isn't going to change anything. IMO Cancelo will only add up to the number of players in the team but nothing to boost their style of play.

I dont know. Cannot see a big impact for Bayern right now which is to be triggered by Cancelo. But maybe the defense will be stabilized a bit by that.

Glory To Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
after yesterday's city-derby defeat of hertha vs. union, the then self-proclaimed 'big-city-club' again falls into chaos and thus does not come to calm. because yesterday the sports director Fredi Bobic was sacked, the man who should actually build up hertha (just like back then with frankfurt) again step by step and bring a lot of stability.
hertha currently occupies the 17th place in the table and is in the midst of the relegation battle...

How well Union Berlin are playing after the break, they won all the games and took full advantage of Bayern draws, now they are separated by only one point.

But something incomprehensible is happening with Bayern, I can’t say that they play badly, their game is quite good, but the final stage of the attack fails. I read an interview with Oliver Kahn, he said that in this break the players were given a lot of time to rest, maybe part of the reason is that they need some time to get in shape. He was also dissatisfied with Gnabry's trip to Paris for a fashion show, reproaching him for the fact that from difficult times for the team you need to be focused on the result.

It is unusual to see such a series of draws from Bayern (and surprisingly, everyone is like a blueprint with the same score 1:1). I hope that in the cup match with Mainz the situation will change, for Bayern the odds 1.47 and in the match with Wolfsburg for Bayern the odds 1.59 I will make a multibet for Bayern to win in these matches, the odds are 2.33

after yesterday's city-derby defeat of hertha vs. union, the then self-proclaimed 'big-city-club' again falls into chaos and thus does not come to calm. because yesterday the sports director Fredi Bobic was sacked, the man who should actually build up hertha (just like back then with frankfurt) again step by step and bring a lot of stability.
hertha currently occupies the 17th place in the table and is in the midst of the relegation battle...

I don't really know. The odds are really tempting but not realistic for me at the moment. There was a draw in the first half of this season (1:1) but with the current performance I see RB Leipzig clearly ahead
Maybe they just had a small dip in their form but the table should not be ignored.

You're right, pretty tempting and that's why I just placed my bet, haha. I know a RB win is much more realistic, but @4.8 draw just sounded too good.  Cheesy

And to be serious: It's pretty unlikely, but IMHO Stuttgart will do everything not to slip into the relegation spots. That's why points are urgently needed and they will get one important point against Leipzig. Pretty sure, haha.  Tongue

Good luck u degen! Cheesy Multi-bet with a small bet size?
I hope you are right this time, didnt place any bets the last weeks. Stuttgart need to get as much points as possible for now so maybe u are good!  Smiley

Btw..
Which bookies are u using? Looking for a new one who is accepting cryptos. Was using stake before but had some hard times/problems with placing bets and there are weird odd jumps sometimes.

Too bad buddy. What are you picks for the next matchday? I guess you're betting again, right?

RB Leipzig vs. VfB Stuttgart tomorrow X @4.80 sounds pretty interesting too me. As inconsistent as Leipzig has performed so far, I think the game could well end in a draw.

Maybe they just had a small dip in their form but the table should not be ignored. They need the win to stay in front and Stuttgart is not in a good position at the moment.

The direct comparison is also clear:

Taking all this into account, I find the odds of @ 1.42 on Leipzig much more interesting.

I think Brooks would be an additional solution for a club at the moment, right?

Pretty excited to see Brooks back in the Bundesliga again, tbh. IMHO, he significantly strengthens Hoffenheim's defence and I can also imagine that he will already be in the starting line-up on Saturday.

I mean, he knows the Bundesliga, is an experienced central defender and hopes to get more playing time after his time in Benfica.

In general: Guys please make sure that you participate in the discussion. Don't quote yourself, quote others and talk to each other.

The 29-year-old Brooks signed a deal through June 2024, Hoffenheim said  in a statement. Kicker magazine reported Hoffenheim paid 300,000 euros ($327,000) for the transfer.

After the resumption of the league, Hoffenheim did not achieve any positive result, a draw against Stuttgart and a loss against union.

I think Brooks would be an additional solution for a club at the moment, right?

I'll leave my tips for some of today's games:

MAINZ 05 vs DORTMUND

I believe the most likely scenario for this match will be for both teams to score at least one goal. I expect to see a very balanced match. Even so, the two squads usually go for the attacking strategy, where goal opportunities arise quite easily. I should note that the market Both team Score was the winner in the last two matches played by Mainz and in four of the last six official matches for Dortmund. Thus, a very open match is expected, with goal situations on both sides.

Both Teams Score

FREIBURG vs FRANKFURT

I believe the most likely scenario for this match will be the existence of several goals. In addition to the Eintracht Frankfurt team presenting better arguments, both individual and collective, for this game, Freiburg is going through a very good phase at the offensive level in home matches. Having that said, I believe risking in favor of the Above 2.5 Goals is a good option.

as reported today by the german sports magazine kicker, the transfer of Konrad Laimer (rb leipzig) to bayern münchen has now been completed. the austrian international is considered to be Julian Nagelsmann's desired player and will then move on a free transfer after the end of this season

I had already read a few weeks ago that Laimer had a great interest in a Bayern transfer next summer. Pretty interesting that the transfer went so quickly in the end. But honestly it's starting to get pretty tough when it comes to the Bayern midfield. Top-class players everywhere. It will be pretty exciting to see whether some players leave the club in the summer and ofc who will be in the starting squad next season.

thus one can now also claim that bayern remains true to its strategy and continues to weaken the competition... Tongue

Haha, the everlasting argument of Bayern's opponents: Bayern buys the top players of the closest rivals in order to weaken them.

MAINZ 05 vs DORTMUND

Both Teams Score

Good bet. And a pretty interesting game tbh. Fortunately, Dortmund still managed to score in the 90+3 minute and thus come a little closer to Bayern. Very good for the league, if you ask me.

FREIBURG vs FRANKFURT

Above 2.5 Goals

Yikes, close call. I would have expected more goals here, but in the end the 1:1 is probably a fair result for both teams. Sucks for your bet though. Haha.

Tonight we continue with the 17th matchday of the Bundesliga and the following matches are scheduled:

Source: Google, Bundesliga Spieltag 17

On paper, it should be two easy wins for RB Leipzig and FC Bayern today. But at Bayern in particular, it's hardly been about football in recent days, but rather about the tiresome goalkeeper discussion, which peaked yesterday with the sacking of goalkeeper coach Toni Tapalović. As a reason, irreconcilable differences with the rest of the coaching team were cited by the media. If you ask me, a very unfortunate end for a co-trainer who had been working with Bayern (and Manuel Neuer ofc) since 2011.

But perhaps now is exactly the right time for the team to finally get back to normal and focus fully on the games in the second half of the season (Neuer is injured anyway until the end of the season, why are we having this goalkeeper discussion at all?). I mean there are tough opponents waiting in the Champions League - you simply can't afford discussions off the pitch tbh.

And concerning the Leipzig game: Probably a 5:0 or something? Pretty, pretty sure Schalke getting smashed today.  Cheesy

The games today were really crazy, Köln (Cologne) 7-1 or Wolfsburg 6-0 were high-scoring games. Bayern München (Munich) is currently weak and they are playing badly, actually Leipzig had a big chance to win the game. Somehow I feel like Bayern are currently missing the good old players.

The weekend's games were completely bonkers, if you ask me. As a FC Bayern fan, I was not only disappointed about the 1:1 against RB Leipzig, but also that FC Köln literally blew Bremen out of the stadium with a score of 7:1, LOL. My bet that both teams would score came off. But a result like that? WTF.

Nevertheless, there was also quite a surprise for me personally. Despite the crazy results, I was able to win the matchday in our German Bundesliga betting game and win a 2 mBTC free bet on Betnomi. That makes the weak performance of FC Bayern very easy to forget, haha.

The Bundesliga table currently looks like this. FC Bayern leads the table with 35 points, followed by Eintracht Frankfurt, Union Berlin and SC Freiburg with 30 points each. IMHO, none of these three rivals will finish on a Champions League spot at the end of the season, but we'll see. Will be more likely something like RB Leipzig, Dortmund and Gladbach?

Don't miss: The next matchday already starts tomorrow, as there are also matches on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Today winning for Eintracht Frankfurt and Union Berlin made a good change in the German Bundesliga table. Now seeing Frankfurt and Berlin so close with 5 point difference behind Bayern Munich. I knew it was never going to end until Bundesliga's top 4 standing undergoes an adjustment to its usual state which is, Bayern, and a few other top clubs likes, like Frankfurt, Leipzig, and Dortmund, followed by few others.

Can you please leave us alone if you are just here for post hunting? This quoted Post of @Docnaster is the perfect example why this thread exist!

Yeah the opener yesterday was not what I was expecting. Especially Kimmich and Goretzka (Note 4 & 5) disappointed. In the meantime, Choupo-Moting just keeps on scoring... that should be interesting in the future.

The Bremen game was really hard to watch as a fan... originally I would have gone to Cologne - now I'm glad I didn't. Cheesy
It will be exciting for the next games - I hope that the mistakes from the first 45min will remain as an one-time incident.

Besides Bremen, Freiburg was the biggest surprise for me. Who would have predicted that they would be shot out of the stadium like that? Let's see what the two Sunday-games will bring...

Nice Thread, I like the rules and details in the thread. I haven't watched or followed the Bundesliga for a long time. There was a Leipzig and Bayern Munich match yesterday, I watched a little bit, after all, it's a good match. RB Leipzig drew at home. Leipzig is still promising. The points for the top positions in the league are very close to each other. Bayern Munich opened the goal at 37 minutes. Shortly after the second half started, Leipzig caught the draw and they evened the situation. Even though a foul was expected, I think the position was clean.

Thanks for your support guys, let's see how it goes. I am confident that together we can build a cool and fun place for everything related to the Bundesliga.  Smiley

I am personally in dilemma what to do with my Premier League and La Liga themes since they have been quite full of spam and I am doing all my discussing on pool threads that are closed to non participants. Something needs to be done but I haven't found perfect solution yet.

Let's try to set a good example with this thread. Maybe it works out and we can manage to reduce the spam at least a little bit. And if it doesn't work, we will have to look for other solutions, I guess. But let's give this one a shot first.

Anyway, enough introductory talk, let's get on with the Bundesliga: Today's top match between RB Leipzig and FC Bayern just ended in a 1-1 draw a few minutes ago and I think that's probably a fair result overall. In the first half, I really felt FC Bayern were clearly the better team - but after the half-time, RB improved significantly, so the draw is okay in the end, tbh.

For the excitement in the Bundesliga, the draw is certainly not a bad result either, because if Freiburg scores a win tomorrow, they can get as close as two points to FC Bayern.

That's the schedule for tomorrow, plenty of exciting matches.

Personally, I am very interested to see how Schalke 04 will start the second half of the season. After the disastrous first half, it's time to turn things around rather quickly if they don't want to be relegated to the second Bundesliga once again. It is quite remarkable what has happened to this great club with such a long tradition.

I am generally against self moderated threads but including this one on watch list to see how it will develop. I am also against multiple threads on same topic but that is another problem. I am personally in dilemma what to do with my Premier League and La Liga themes since they have been quite full of spam and I am doing all my discussing on pool threads that are closed to non participants. Something needs to be done but I haven't found perfect solution yet. Keeping an eye here in hopes to get some inspiration, or more probably I will just close those threads sooner than later which is a shame since they have a lot of history and some good conversations as well.

We do want to stay on topic at least on first page Smiley My bet for today is both to score and I found the odds @1.52 for it which is more generous than I expected. I will go that far to say I expect both teams to score at least 2 goals but I have a feeling Bayern will edge it with result like 2:3 in the end.

today i saw an interview with marco rose on ntv. Marco Rose has a lot of respect for the munich team, but he also thinks he has a chance of winning
tonight's top game against the team from munich. a few days ago, I bet on a bayern victory in the bundesliga betting game. today, after the interview,
i even think the leipzig team can pull off a surprise. personally, i would be very happy with a draw.
a victory for the leipzig team, however, would make the Bundesliga even more exciting.

but when i visited the thread and read his 'why', i find this more than appropriate and a very great idea to create this self moderated thread.

but now to the actual topic...
today it is finally time and it goes on immediately with a top game tonight. bayern guests today (with its new goalkeeper Y. Great idea, I support that by 100%.

It was just annoying because ucould hardly have discussions/conversations. Example: ugo to a post via quote to have a serious conversation about it and there is never a reply.
This can depend on several factors. 1. the post got lost in all the spam posts or 2. the quoted post was itself a "spam post" to get on its post count for signature bounties.

A self-moderated thread should solve the problem - though that means some work for u. Thanks @bullrun2020bro  Smiley

German Bundesliga Season 22/23

(A self-moderated discussion and prediction thread)

Since the old Bundesliga thread has unfortunately turned into a mega spam-fest where reasonable discussions or chats are almost impossible, I took the chance to open another self-moderated thread.

This thread is supposed to be about the following topics:

1. Casual discussions about the Bundesliga and its clubs
2. Betting & tips on individual Bundesliga matches and/or parlays
3. Transfer rumours about Bundesliga players and coaches

To prevent this thread from ending up in a spam-fest as well, there will be some clear rules. This means that posts that do not comply with the rules (especially generic shitposts for signature campaigns) will be consequently deleted.

In this thread the discussion should be in the spotlight, so please only post if you are really interested in the Bundesliga - otherwise please check out the spamthreads.

Thread rules & guidelines:

1. No off-topic
2. No pyramid quotes (if you're quoting more than three people your post will be deleted. Use ~ or -snip- for longer quotes.)
3. No posts of generic quality (shitposts)
4. No defamation
5. No trolling
6. Good posts will be rewarded by me. So give your post some thought and get some merit.
