A reporter from Global News named Yuliya Talmazan attended this event. She writes articles and has a TV news segment. She seems to be a huge fan of what we're doing in Vancouver. She took photos and short videos, and interviewed most of the Cooperative, already. We are certain to get a mainstream news article. I guess I will have to post it to the news section when it's published.

Also, she wants to bring an actual film crew next week. At this point, it is still uncertain, but it appears relatively probable that the editors will accept her pitch. In this case, I guess I will have to post a YouTube video as well. This might happen during an event, and I might plan a huge event/conference around it, so I guess you should keep watching Meet Up threads if you want to be on television.

Hello, everyone! We almost hesitated to write "BTC Accepted," because it's redundant, since all of our venues accept BTC, as it's our job to make that happen. But we figured most people don't know that about Vancouver, yet.

The owner of this establishment is pretty cool; he already wanted to accept Bitcoin--we just showed up and fixed his technical problems. It's a very popular place locally, so we had to pick a different time than usual in order to get enough seating for a decent Meet Up. Several of those attending will be students from a local university at which we installed a Bitcoin Student Club.

If you're going to be in the area, consider joining us! If not, we have multiple events per month. See this event on our Meet Up page: http://www.meetup.com/bitcoinvan/events/132309942/

Or learn more about Vancouver's Bitcoin movement on our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/bitcoincoop

We're not quite Berlin, yet, but we're trying our best. More Meet Ups and new BTC venues will follow!
