LOL  Cheesy During the second match the attack was done in the early minutes. I think this is a good start for Argentina, because they are getting used to it without messi. Indeed the two teams were not strengthened by their core players, but also this match was very interesting indeed.
The first half belong to Germany and the second half is won by Argentina, i did not expect Argentina to come back after Germany was leading from the first 15 minutes of the match and then Argentina rejuvenated in the second half and had a good defense and was able to level the score, even though it is a friendly match it was a good performance by Argentina to come back from behind and level the score.

I am a hardcore Messi fan but I don't understand why many people are losing hope in Argentina winning this match.
Even if Messi is absent, Argentina can still win this match, so I am looting for them.
Germany has good players likewise Argentina too so therefore the match will be among between the best. We might be seeing a 2-1.
The game is already finish bro and the score was tied. Nice match even though without Messi, they still managed to tie the game. I'm likewise a fan of Messi too but with him being absent with his country's team makes it sad to watch the game lol. Anyway congrats to the both of the team. They had a good match.

It was a good match but it looks more like a friendly match; no intensity as expected and lot of loose passes. It also shows that the players had spent little time with themselves before the game but they both have the propensity to improve with each games till they have a competitive game like UEFA Euro championship.

I believe Germany will win with at least two goals difference but since it is a friendly match then everything could happens..
I am really disappointed for real. Germany did in the first half what it was supposed to do...but in the second half, it is like the players switched their shirts!
My prediction was correct for the first half but at the end it is a big mess...

The German playing strategy was applied in the first round but for the second half it seemed a trial strategy so the game changed completely
Although a little disappointed with the end result I still like Germany and remains my favorite.
Germany should let Argentina make some goals so that they also enjoy playing friendly match with them. Germany has great players undoubtedly and people are enjoying this friendly match especially those of Argentina. I never enjoy footballs as such but friendly ones are nice. There are no fights, nothing serious just enjoyment.

I usually don't watch friendly matches especially when they are on the middle of the season with not any actual point.
Yesterday's match between Germany and Argentina was pretty entertaining and i think that the draw was the best result for the teams. Also, Tagliafico is my favorite player and I hope to see him signing for a bigger club.

The match was an interesting one, and I was really impressed by Argentina's performance despite dropping a lot of their top stars for fixture I thought It might be an embarrassing defeat for Argentina but the really stood up to Germany even after they were 2 goals, they dominated the match. Maybe the national team should just forget about the aging stars and focus more on this next generation of players.

I guess they didn't put their full effort on a friendly match, I am saying this because of the fact that Germany had led the game to 2-0 then suddenly Germany become sloppy with their moves and shots and suddenly becoming more experimental like it is not part of their plan, I think they purposely let Argentina take the goal to make a draw but, Whatever this is a friendly match so it is likely to just having fun in their part, making the game into a Draw!

Germany took their foot off the gas after racing into a 2-0 lead. Maybe they got a bit complacent & let Argentina back into it, don’t look too deeply into the result though as not much was on the line, only a friendly.

With the absence of Messi,DiMaria and Sergio Aguero, Germany has an advantage so my prediction is that Germany will will 2-0 over Argentina.
This is just a friendly match and not some kind of serious game match. For them not be present should gibe a sound of; don't bet in what you think if us but bet with your mind. Based in the squad for the friendly match, I will also GI for the German side but remember, anything can still happen in the pitch of play.

The two German players I quoted earlier Serge Gnabry and Kai Havertz coincidentally scored as the match is at half time now, the youngsters are well composed with the ball, Serge Gnabry had been firing on cylinders with an outstanding performance overall while Argentina having a full possession without a shot on target which is quite disappointing however it an interesting match.
Surely, Serge Gnabry has been on the top of his form. Arsenal management must be regretting why they let him go.

The Match ended in a 2-all draw with Argentina Making a comeback in second half. Germany still has a lot of work to do especially with the defense. They have been blowing away leads in seconds half, the last memorable one was against the Netherlands.

I do think that it would be close to your 2-1. For me, it's going to be 3-1. Both teams are going in transitional stages with all their lineup and IIRC, their manager. In favor of this matchup would be Germany. With Serge Gnabry with the scoring capabilities (with his previous matches), Argentina has to watch out with that. Or am I bias? With research, I seem to see a lot in favor of Germany, so there's that.
The two teams had overhauled their aged team and trying to reorganize or built a new team in fact Germany had changed their tactics and formations from the widely used  4-4-2 to a 4-2-3-1 formation which is new and the young lad had not fully grab the whole tactic while Argentina had also had its own share of reorganization its going to be a good game full of energy and the game will be tactically balanced based on the youthfulness of both sides the likes of Serge Gnabry and debutant wonder kid Kai Havertz will likely feature for Germany while Leonardo Balerdi for Argentina of course Messi will be missed.

The outcome of this fixture entirely comes down to the playing XI fielded by each team. While I give the roster depth edge to Germany, the Argentines are never short of talent pool to showcase. Although highly unlikely, lets hope both countries put forward their best rosters and it is surely bound to be a close encounter!

This should be a good match but remember it’s a friendly guys. Don’t start gambling too much money because there will likely be a mixed starting XI for both teams & the players might not be putting in 100% due to the relaxed nature of most friendlies plus disruption due to loads of substitutions etc.

Yes this is indeed an international friendly match but the final result will affect the morale of the players to go to Euro competition
For this match I am sure  Germany won and played at full strength, instead Argentina will lose several key players.

Oh bloody hell. When I read a report a few days ago, Messi was all set to join the national team. Should really make a habit of checking more recent news when betting!

Took out a 4/1 bet ON Argentina. It's not a competitive match so I will expect the Germans to experiment, and this simply means new formations. The same for the South Americans for sure, but there's a lot of raw talents the German scouts won't have much intel on.

Probably fair odds from the bookies, but is it too much for me to ask Otamendi to perform really well and get tired from these games before he returns to England?Wink And Dybala brace, come on!

@iyan: What on earth are you on about?

Big game in friendship.
How Germany would be favored to win this match. It must be admitted that Argentina does have a scary front line but their main players cannot play this match and it must be remembered that Argentina has a weak defense. Argentina does not have a strong and experienced CB, that is what must be considered.

Germany has lost its name as a power house when it comes to football therefore, they're no longer a threat to any country and irrespective of them winning this match the goal margin won't be that much. Argentina on the other hand are still capable of winning games but the messi curse mostly comes into effect against them during important phases in the competition like knockout stages or final. But since Messi won't be playing, I'll be going for Argentina to win with a 2-0 scoreline.
I wouldn't be so sure of Germany losing its powerhouse. They are still pretty decent. I'll be voting on Germany this game for a probably outcome of 2-1 in favor of Germany. Remember, Argentina is missing key players. So, that's a big loss to them. They could beat Germany but they should've been complete.

These are two teams that are match against each other because of the stars they both parade in their teams over time and this match for me would be an interesting one to watch. The twist here is the absence of key players on the part of Argentina which might by default passes some advantage to Germany but I don't think that would really make any difference here because going down memory lane for some matches, Messi has not been the best performer when it comes to country's representations but Argentina has a team is the home of talented players across board. My prediction would be a draw game of 1:1 on both sides.

Argentina only strengthened core players like Dybala and Martinez. Because this is a friendly match, Germany even called their Young players to appear in this fight. Of course that's not a serious thing. Because most of us know that young German players are always potential players. So how do you keep Germany in this match.

With the absence of Leo Messi,  I think that the confidence of the German team will be more boosted,  I'm not expecting much goals from this match but I see the German team defeating the Argentina team,  probably 2-1 because they both have a good attacking side, and the German team is just picking up their form from recent matches

I think that this a game that is always beautiful to watch even when this is just a friendly game. This has most of the time produced goals by both teams and I think this will be the case here too.I cannot think of a money line result because this is a friendly and anything can happen for the final result.

2-1 seems to be a reasonable result for this match, how do you think?[/size]
That would be a reasonable prediction but i wont be surprised if Argentina will find it difficult to score a goal here in this friendly game because the team is going through a change and they need to learn to play without the presence of the legend Lionel Messi. I understand your prediction of seeing three goals in the match as all of the friendly match in the past few years between Germany and Argentina produced three goals.

My prediction is Germany winning the match.

I agree with you because in some matches Argentina have had difficulty scoring goals when playing away especially without messi certainly more difficult
I predict that Germany will dominate the match and win it for 1-0 or 2-0

Germany VS Argentina

Kick off: 18:45 GMT October. 9th, 2019

All eyes will be on Signal-Iduna-Park when Germany and Argentina face each other in a friendly on Wednesday evening. The Germans will use this match to prepare in the best way possible for Sunday’s Euro 2020 qualifier against Estonia, but head coach Joachim Low is unlikely to field the best possible side against Argentina. Anyhow, seeing that the South American giants will be without key player Leo Messi, who has recently recovered from his injury, we are tempted to put our money on the hosts.

In Leo Messi’s absence a man to watch in the away team will be Inter attacker Lautaro Martinez, who has been producing fine performances with Inter in the Serie A at the start of the season. Speaking of the home team, the opposition defenders should have Bayern Munchen winger Serge Gnabry, who scored four goals in the Champions League triumph over Tottenham Hotspur.

2-1 seems to be a reasonable result for this match, how do you think?
