The OP last logged in on 1st March 2023 but has not posted about what has happened. Their website is still up and running which means it has the potential to make long list of victims and that is certainly not a good thing.

If any of the victims contact the domain registrar to report a fraud then they will seize the domain, though he could set up the whole scam again using a different domain it might be worthwhile to disrupt his scam operation even if temporarily.

I am sorry for to learn about your loss. Regardless of the amounts involved (no matter how large or small) it is not acceptable to be in a position where you sent funds and did not receive the service you paid for. $200 is a considerable amount of money to send to a third party based on trust alone and you have become another member that has been affected.

It seems the OP was online on 1st March but sadly did not make any posts.

I topped up 200$, never got them on my card balance.

support also is not answering.

It is very strange indeed.

A $49 order from TheStockFootageClub.com which I made minutes ago has just been processed successfully and deducted from my card.

There is $23 of my existing funds from before the reload left. I will try another (lifetime) stock video collection purchase later, as I want to see if my loaded funds are indeed there.
If your existing balance have not been stolen and just the latest card loads are not being added to the balance, then it is very strange.

Thank you for confirming the status of your existing balances. In an exit scam I would have expected existing balances to have been stolen along with any recent card loads but the fact your existing balances are still present (and you are able to make purchases) is very strange as far as exit scams are concerned.

Anyways, the radio silence from CoinPayCard is just appalling in general to everyone here.
You are right, it is absolutely appalling behaviour by them and they have destroyed their reputation in the process. They should have been vocal by posting here with explanations if there were other explanations and their radio silence is unacceptable. All the negative tags against them are appropriate and justified (including the red tag I have left for them).

Is it possible you could try to make a very small transaction using the card? That way it will clear up whether your existing balance is still present or not. There can be no justification for the way CoinPayCard.net have conducted themselves and the flag as well as negative trust against them are a reflection of that but it is important to know about existing balances. If they are still available to spend it means they have not been stolen and it means though an exit scam looks probable it might not be the only explanation here.

If I understood correctly, if this issue is only affecting latest deposited funds and not affecting existing balances then it would be a very strange exit scam. The idea of an exit scam is to exit taking as much funds as possible.

there are certainly still a lot of users here who see some funds from earlier, but the new ones still do not appear on their accounts. And they also still don't know about the scam accusations here on the forum. the fact that users see some kind of balance that they can still use only prolongs it, keeping them in suspense as to whether the service is still functional.
So, an exit scam will last here for some time and the scammer does not need to do anything. it is more than obvious.

I can still spend from any money previously deposited, -  I haven't made any transactions with it since.

Kind of kills the point of using the card if every time you want to reload it you have to call someone to fix your balance for you Sad

Previously, there was a bug where even that balance would disappear and be replaced with an arbitrarily small amount like $3, but that doesn't seem to be happening now.

Before I tag the account with negative trust I wanted to ask NotATether if this situation regarding the balance not being added to the card account was the only problem. What has happened to existing balances if new card loads are not being added?

For example, if you already had $500 loaded on the card and it appeared properly in your account then but then you added $100 more and it did not show. Would it be the whole $600 that ends up missing or would the $500 still be available to spend but $100 would be missing?

NotATether, is the previous balance before your most recent card-load still available to spend? In an exit scam it would make more sense for a thief to steal the balances before running off rather than just steal the most recent card loads.

For me It would also decline transactions within the available balancr before depositing

Anyway, They clearly ran off and don't plan to fix anything, instead, they are still trying to scam more people as seen in the other thread where they replied to examplens

They are nothing more than a scam. A pathetic service which steal your money.

Almost 7 days ago, I deposited around $800 and loaded it to my card, they deducted they card fee, loading fee and the balance never appeared in my card. Been trying to contact them but they never replied. On chat, only replied once and said give 5 minutes and then vanished.

Pathetic and dead support, and scam website to steal money!

Sorry to hear about the loss of you which has occurred by buying the card and depositing funds into the card. If the incident is real and you still didn't get any solution can you please create a scam accusation against them by providing details of the case? @OP would you like to see the case and solve it?

Please create a scam accusation topic and flag against them and provide some evidence how much money they stole from you, and how you tried to contact them.
It's not that I don't trust your word but it's always good to have valid arguments, and maybe we can track their bitcoin address and follow where the money goes.
I already gave them negative feedback, but since they are not coming back for days, it's better to have red flag on their profile.
Also watch out for any new service like CoinPayCard that could pop up in next few weeks.

I think the link has been broken. Their website and chat support are working fine. And if I click on the support they don't redirect to any link. They stay on the same site and just added a character after hashing like https://coinpaycard.net/# So for now consider it as no support via online ticket. On the buttom you can see their email so you can contact them via their email too. Also, on the bottom click on supports to redirect to the link which you have mentioned but that is broken.

Have you tried making a transaction with your card? From what I have read in previous posts maybe there is a possibility the balance was added on the actual card but the website and customer account does not show it. It seems the issue was never fixed as in the case mentioned by NotATether therefore the only way to be sure is for you to make a purchase using the card to see if it goes through or if it gets declined.

Hi

I have not received any PMs from them yet

As mentioned by @NotATether this problem was common and happened to me a lot, the only way to fix this was to contact them via chat. Also tried the card multiple times today, still declining, so it's not a visual bug

A little update - The $13 transaction I mentioned is now in my statement and my card balance deducted accordingly - however my $220 card load is still not visible on the screen. Really, it's something strange.

Yea, I actually said that I tried to purchase with card multiple times today and it didn't go so obv its gotta be problem with their API that they cant or dont wanna fix

Or prolly the person who manages this business is ill that's why they are not online to respond to this... so idk

if so hopefully they get better soon, btw

but ofc businesses cannot go this way

Nonetheless, it's important to issue a serious warning to all existing and potential customers. No one should deposit their funds into this service, at least until this situation is resolved.
If anybody does deposit funds they could end up having issues where the account area shows they were not received but could have been credited. Either way, any service being provided has to up to standard clearly they are having problems. They need to post addressing the issues raised here. I also noted they logged in last night and did not post but they might have sent a PM to Anubis123.

If it is a one-man business (I never found any written evidence for that though), then that would explain why questions posed to the live chat widget are completely abandoned.

Fortunately, if the money has been sent to the card, it is in the hands of the banking partner of CoinPayCard and so we can trust that spending them will be successful - some highly annoying mental bookkeeping just has to be done to keep track of your spending.
Hopefully the OP will at least try to sort out the website issues which are stopping from balances showing even after deposits are being made. Maybe that is what has happened in the case of Anubis123. It is simply not good enough for a service provider to not fix an issue such as this even after you highlighted it and the OP manually updated your balance twice.

Whether it is a one man business or not there is no justification for lack of customer care. In my opinion, at this stage it would be premature to call this a scam. It seems more a case of it being a combination of sub-standard communication and website infrastructure issues. I hope the OP will post here to comment and update about the issues being mentioned.

Sure, we might say it's too early to call them a scam, but I don't agree with that. This type of biz shouldn't be relying on just one person in the first place.

EDIT: I made a $13 Renderforest invoice to CoinpayCard just now and it went through successfully (but only tried because my Ezzocard was declined).

At this stage I would still give the benefit of the doubt and say their absence and delay to service could be related to other issues. For example, if they are effectively a one person operation and that one person is taken ill or something has happened to them, then there could be exceptional circumstances.

Yeah, it's possible that some crazy stuff might be happening that's stopping the one-man business from providing adequate customer support. But still, that's no excuse for ignoring the user's PM or the forum thread when their profile shows they were active just yesterday. At the very least, they should inform their customers and the community that they are actively working to resolve the issue.

If I was going through what you or any other depositor was going through maybe I would have a different opinion but right now I think it is too early to call it a scam or say they ran off. If they do not make a statement soon regarding what happened they will have themselves to blame if their account receives several negative tags.

See my opinion about this here (PS. I can also log in and access my account, in fact I did so just now):

Not trying to defend them or anything, but I want to write about my experience with this issue.

I remember in one PM I had with the Coinpaycard forum rep after I experienced this issue (for the 3rd time), he told me that the banking API they use would credit those funds which were loaded, but the website itself has an error and would not show the updated balance.

Each time, this happened when loading the card from the account balance, not when refilling the account balance itself.

One time (and this happened some time around Feb 1st) my balance was showing some really small amount, like $4 or something after I loaded about $60 or $70, but meanwhile my OpenAI payment was successfully processed during this time. I got invoiced, but the card statement was out-of-date.

First two times he actually manually updated my balance to fix the problem. But it is a highly annoying process, and I'm still waiting for him to do it again or to fix the site's API to credit $220 I added a few days ago.

The customer support pages were always unresponsive the whole time - I only got answers via forum PM.

Looks like someone has the same problem as well
I wouldn't trust any of trustpilot feedbacks, it's obviously paid and fake, like that five star from Cameron Chapman saying how Coinpaycard is a very trustable token  Roll Eyes
There are few negative reviews, but more problematic is the fact that they are not responding anywhere (forum, telegram, website, email), and they clearly saw posts and messages from yesterday in forum.
I warned about them in past, and if they don't fix this problem soon you can create a topic in Scam Accusation section against them, and provide all the evidence you can (images, communication, etc).

There is also option to contact them on their telegram account @coinpaycard (it's in their profile page).

@NotATether, I know that it is possible to pay for a product/service whose price is expressed in another currency, but I am wondering if there is an additional fee when converting USD to EUR?

I haven't bought a service that charges in EUR yet - so far, everything that had an EUR price on it was converted into USD by the merchant's payment processor (Stripe or some other), in which case, fees would be applied by that payment processor to the total bill, which is what CoinPayCard then shows on the statement. So I don't think this service applies a conversion fee itself.

When you're already here and you've used the service, have you tried paying for one of the popular streaming services like Netflix or Disney+?

I've already been using gift cards to buy Netflix, but I don't want to waste money on other streaming services which I won't use. Nevertheless I can try linking the card to Netflix and see how that goes.

If I understood correctly, the balance on the card is USD? Is it possible to choose that it be EUR, and if not, is there a possibility that such an option can be added in the future? I am interested in this because there is probably a conversion fee when we pay for something whose price is expressed in EUR, and the balance on the card is in USD.

An additional question is related to privacy regarding the purchase of physical products that we deliver to our physical addresses - the bank that issued the card or you as service providers have insight into such data?

Tbh this yearly general fee makes it a bad deal.
The high transaction fees are somehow okayish for a service like that - but if u want profit from paywithmoon changes and get their costumers, then I would highly recomment to remove these flat for use fees.

As long as an unbiased review is left by a reputable forum members it allows others to feel confident about whether they should test out the service or not. This looks like another piece of excellent customer services provided by a company/business/project when they listen to their customers and take action find a solution fast. I have to say I am very impressed with what I am reading about CoinPayCard.

I think there's a bug on your website?

I loaded $40 in BTC to my account in this transaction: 220d490ecb3f36e88d5a37923d69b8d49e283ebeb107178449b28bc5252de862

The funds went to my account successfully.

But then when I loaded $35 onto my card, it tasked for a $2.something-ish fee, and the loading happened instantly, but now both the account balance and card balance read:

$2.1000000000000014 USD

please fix this please.

The timing is quite bad as I had just linked it to Paypal and was about to verify the card.

Hi NotATether, we have an api issue where it doesn’t fetch the card balance. Is being fixed in 30min. Let me check your account feel free to dm me.

Update:

We just change the way how our platform works and we added new payment methods.

We added the following payment methods:
Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, USDC, DOGE, SHIB, BCH, LINK, BAT and ALGO

(Monero will be added next week, after testing is done)

Previously, you need to make 2 payments, 1 for creating your card and 1 for funding your card. Now we changed the flow.

Our new flow:
1. Fund your account using crypto.
2. Buy a card using your account balance.
3. Top-Up your card using account balance.

We also change the way you pay the fees:
(FEES ARE THE SAME).
1. When funding your account, you pay the 4% fee.
2. When you Top-Up your card, only then pay the $1.50 fee.

If you have any questions, let us know.

AWS seems to work with this card (have no clue since I wasn't billed yet, but I was able to link it).

If it links, it should be good to go.

Google Cloud gives an error message: "prepaid cards can't be used".
Yep, this is an issue that the issuing bank is fixing. Sometime merchants see the card as prepaid, while it is a debit card.

Linode also rejected it, and they went as far as saying "it matches patterns associated with fraudulent behavior" (as if getting paid by fraudulent fractional-reserve banks is somehow better!)

I had this issue with Linode my self, when I used my personal bank card. They just block anybody without reason. I think they are pretty scared that the wrong people are going to use their service. My account was even blocked, and I used a card from a big bank.

Can you please confirm whether the limit of the 99$ card is 200$ or 2000$? I know the OP has said it was a typo and it's 2000$, but I am sure everybody will find the information more ressuring if it comes from you. (No offense, OP).

Sorry about that, I was under the impression that that there was a limit of $200 for each purchase, and I got that confused with the monthly spend limit. I'm almost at $200 for this month, and it shouldn't be too difficult to try to push it higher (ideally with more Udemy courses).

My Jetpack bill is arriving some time in March and it's $239, so that will be a good litmus test for my thesis as well.

Also @OP please try to get the card working with server merchants if that's possible Smiley

You've said this before, and not long afterwards you gave some... strange answers to actually not too difficult questions, making me (and not only me) doubt you.
That's why I prefer answers from more established (and more technical) people.

This comment is absolutely not fair. We have answered any question, as much as we can. Going in circles is time-consuming and pointless. If you have any questions, let us know.
And btw, I think we as the platform that provides the service can tell you better what the limits are of our cards. There is nobody with a different answer.

Maybe, after you also gain more trust and the business gets more traction too, you get to offer plastic cards too.
If the prices also don't get much higher (than/for the basic plan), that could become very interesting.
But no rush. One step at a time.

I can agree with you on this one. We will have plastic cards within a couple of months. However, we haven't decided if we're going to issue plastic cards yet, the logistics and regulations on these cards are much harsher.
We can also guarantee that pricing won't change in the near future regarding virtual cards.

I read it and have to say from the feedback you provided, I was impressed with the service they offer. Since you did not really have any issues with their service it goes to show they could end up having a widely used business. Thank you the detailed review, I hope others will benefit from your feedback and I hope you update your review/feedback to add any positive or negative experiences in future if you feel it is warranted as you use the card more and more.

Agreed, as NotAThether can confirm. We only had 1 requirement, that was: "After you used your card, can you post an honest review/feedback about our service on BitcoinTalk ? That's all, you dictate what your review will be."

Since our launch, we see that card issuing and funding doubled almost every day. We Apple/Google pay will be available for everybody, we expect massive growth (hopefully). We also cannot wait to share the new platform soon.

People actually buy WinRAR license?
This is going to sound like an oxymoron from me given that I used to run cracked software, but these guys deserve every penny.

I agree they deserve every penny. It's just surprising since most people would either pirate, use trial version (despite pop-up message) or switch to free software (such as 7-Zip).

Have you tried different cloud computing or server website such as DigitalOcean or Linode?
I don't want to take the risk. Even with the AlexPCS card (which is a real physical card tied to an actual bank), Linode rejected my card, and AWS closed my account after I didn't give them "verification" (what looks to me like KYC) after linking that card.

I understand. On a side note, i checked vast.ai ToS/PP but they do not mention anything about VCC usage.

I'm also not sure why that transaction declined, if NotATether gives me permission I will look into it. Sometimes you can ask the support of a particular website to approve the transaction if it gets declined.

We may do a signature campaign in the future on Bitcointalk.

At this time we only offer Virtual cards, apple/google support for offline payments will come this month.
I don't know why you lock the previous thread and choose to create a self-moderate thread but the decision you make will only make the reputable user of this forum have some curious thoughts about your project.
Your project is new and you have to welcome both good and scorn questions because that is the way, people learn to know the genuine of a project and if you're not ready for this how will you convince people you guys are for real?
You need to make people know why they have to use your service instead of Bolt Card.
It is good that you're thinking of doing a signature campaign in the future but it will be better if you can asap to establish your project.

This thread was moved from another place to the announcement by the admins, and the old one got locked. Unfortunately, the old thread had a lot of off-topic discussion that was going nowhere. Was advised by other members to create a self-moderated thread, this thread has no deleted replies and all replies can be seen in history via Ninja as you may know.

Regarding Bolt Card, never heard of it before but after some research it's not de bit card that can be used with the Visa or Mastercard Network. It's I think a closed-loop card.
Ok, I understand your point and since you're ready to do the right to resolve any negative feedback everything should be okay. However, some forum users won't still like the idea though.
Bolt card can use as closed-loop and also has debit card performance. However, the Debit card performance is only exclusive to the Bolt card registered customers.
I like the idea of your service being KYC-free and I would like to know if the card has no restriction worldwide.

The business of virtual cards is quite a competitive one, to give yourselves a winning chance why don't you engage someone to run a signature or avatar campaign of 3 to 5 guys maybe more depending on how much you willing to put into the marketing side of the business. Wink

Btw is CoinPayCard only about virtual cards or you taking orders for physical cards as well ??

First of all, as it is a service thread, there might be a few negative comments and you may delete that negative comments. Why you posted such a self-moderated topic?
It’s to prevent off-topic replies. If there was any negative feedback we would do everything to resolve them instead of deleting them. As you may know, you can also see all deleted messages in history. This topic has no deleted messages.

Honestly, self-moderated topic is not a big deal now it was made for a reason. Deleted replies can be seen on the ninjastic.space's archive[1], anyone who has an issue regarding of deleted replies on specific thread can create a separate thread on reputation board or even on scam accusation.

For verification purposes PayPal/freelancer and many more sites send a few cents usually less than 1$ to the card, in this case, will this small portion of the fund will be available to your card or we will be able to know if there is a specific amount of funds available eg: 0.02$

I am asking these questions:
1. The amount is less than the fee and
2. The website eg PayPal/freelancer won't send USDT they may send direct USD dollars.

To answer your question: Yes, you can receive small amounts to verify accounts at different merchants. 9/10 they will just temporarily hold a small amount the verify that the cards works.

Edit; Btw, your card holds USD. USDT is only used for funding your on our platform, we automatically convert it to USD.

Our cards work just like regular debit cards, there should be no specific reason why our cards could get blocked. But keep in mind, every retailer has their own acceptance policy. For example, retailer A does not accept card with a US billing address or issued in the U.S.

- Regarding reCaptcha; we never worked with Hcaptcha, but we will look in to it and possible replace google reCaptcha
- Regarding our corporate info; at this time we don't want to share that data just for privacy reasons. We will probably in the future, for now that's not something we planned to be honest.

Let's be fair, any data on card issued or user base can be dispute/manipulated unless we prove it by showing our database (what not will happen of course) so this data will remain private.

In that locked thread there was a question that was asked by Pmalek: Do these cards work worldwide without exceptions or have you noticed some service providers/countries reject them?

Have you noticed anything of concern or as far as you are aware the virtual cards simply work the same way as physical ones when using them online?

Can you provide some comments about these points:

* Website sign-up page uses reCaptcha (from Google) rather than Hcaptcha or simple bot checker that does not harvest data
* Website terms and conditions do not state who is behind the project and who an end user can take to Court in the event there is an attempt at litigation. Ideally it would have been a company or incorporation

Would you consider replacing reCaptcha in your register/login pages? If you decide to stick with it can you explain why you would want to do so over using Hcaptcha or a simple bot. Also, why are there no ownership details listed in your website terms and conditions pages?

I can understand reluctance on your part if not wanting to reply to the following questions because it could be deemed as business related sensitive data and maybe you do not want competitors to know or maybe your numbers are very low but if you can reply it will give some background in to your business:

Are you able to give the number of customers on your books?
Are you able to state how many cards you have actually sold?

Your observation is correct 3 notes:
1. Our card pricing start at $99/y for a $2k monthly spend limit.
2. And correct we don't earn on card load fees, as we created this program with the card issuer directly, they wanted a higher fee because of the "risks". They also take a 30-40% cut on the card issuing fee. So lowering the prices would make it financially not worth it to issue cards.
3. It's (almost) impossible for cards to get blocked, you need to make some really shady purchases that would flag a bank compliance check, never ever we received such a request. But in the case your card get blocked, you will receive a free new one or a refund of your the remaining balance.

However, with the discount code: e6aa4a8d-a3b0-4ef3-9de8-148cdd29lnln you can get $10 off your first card.

Glad to see this thread in the Services board has been re-launched after the previous one was locked. I made a post in the now locked thread that I think you would agree could do with some clarification and feedback from you. I am looking forward to your reply:

---------------------
Regarding the service offered by AlexPCS, I recall posting in his thread a long time ago and I had serious doubts. Subsequently, some members have vouched for him after using the service and to my knowledge no scam accusations have been made against him therefore his service is considered by some as genuine and trustworthy because packages were purchased and feedback was left.

As far as CoinPayCard is concerned, here are some initial observations which I am happy to revise if I have them wrong:

Cons
* As this is a virtual VISA card money cannot be withdrawn from ATMs
* Card load fees at 4% + $1.50 means $10 load will give $8.10 to spend
* $249 annual fee for $5000 monthly spend limit
* $499 annual fee for $10000 monthly spend limit
* At present only USDT is accepted method of payment
* Website sign-up page uses reCaptcha (from Google) rather than Hcaptcha or simple bot checker that does not harvest data
* Website terms and conditions do not state who is behind the project and who an end user can take to Court in the event there is an attempt at litigation. Ideally it would have been a company or incorporation

Pros
* Customers can register a card in any name
* No KYC required before or after registration
* Only email address is required to register
* Customers are issued a card number instantly via your website
* Customers are issued VISA cards
* Customers can add their card numbers to Apple/Android phones to use to make offline payments
* Card load fees at 4% + $1.50 means $100 load will give $94.50 to spend
* $99 annual fee for $2.000 monthly spend limit (probably just about acceptable for anonymous cards)
* Direct dealing with issuing bank, no third party intermediaries are involved
* Promise to make a full refund if cards are blocked

Suggestions
* Reduce the $99 annual fee to around $49 at least for an introductory period
* Reduce the 4% + $1.50 card load fee to 2.75% + $0.99 for an introductory period

I have always cited not having ownership details and appropriate terms and conditions as a sign of major concern and this as a negative in many ANN threads because it has potential to give scope for exit scams but several members expressed views saying it was alright for project owners to remain anonymous. Many or most signature campaign participants are promoting businesses that have anonymous owners therefore it is something that has become acceptable as the norm.

Keeping all I have mentioned in mind, I am confident enough to want to test the service soon. I will provide more comments, suggestions and ask some questions after further analysis in the coming days and look forward to reading comments from you and other members too.

edit: I noticed on your website you stated you do not make money from the 4% + $1.50 load fee and that is set by the card provider therefore my suggestions about lowering the price for an introductory period will understandably not be looked at.
