Its banned for use in sales, but not many of them were made in china anyway. You can still buy and sell bitcoin and the exchanges are still allowed. The panic sale will be over by tomorrow with any luck

They won't affect the bitcoin model , and that is what matters!
Sure, but volatility (rising and crashing BTC/USD rates) will, unfortunately, affect global acceptance.

Obviously Bitcoin is here to stay either way, fully agree there.

Affect the time of global acceptance. And , hell , I'm still young:).

Terminated.
Ignorant press. Anyone who bans Bitcoin will make a huge mistake, in due time.

We don't need to get a grip.

Kinda sad how deliberately Bloomberg misinterprets the news from China, calling it a 'ban', and people shouting how China 'rejects' or even 'forbids' Bitcoin.

They're mostly just making people aware of the fact that it's not an official currency, and warning about the risk it bears when trading in it.

Here's an article that puts things in better perspective: http://www.techinasia.com/panic-chinas-regulation-bitcoin-leaves-room-optimism/

So get a grip, you panic-mongers Smiley

Can you not see what they are doing? They want to buy and are well bid. How to buy cheap? I think you know now.

Hmm, bearish?
Not quite Smiley

In the very beginning, when I just found out about Bitcoin, I was extremely sceptical. But after studying the concept in depth, it struck me how brilliant and ingeneous this thing is, and I've been a strong bitliever ever since. Both during ups and downs.

Indeed, thanks for this. Finally an article which offers a more nuanced opinion, instead of Doom&Gloom
