Honest investors are always buying they don't even need to prepare for it, the ones who just try to speculate the price are buying the dips and then selling when the prices surge to the huge skies. Though I never buy any bitcoins because I'm a student at the moment so I pretty much can't afford it as I'm broke as fuck... Cheesy

I never wait till something happens to start buying. I always make sure I buy far in advance of everything where I purely focus on Bitcoin's growth. If you wait till the day the ETF gets approved, you're most likely already too late to benefit from the pump. In case the ETF gets disapproved we'll most likely experience a dump, but I don't expect it to be a heavy one. If the price tanks heavily after disapproval, it would mean that current increase is purely focused at the approval of the ETF. I believe current growth comes mostly from the increased demand.

The second that decision is made and released, I'm buying if rule change is approved for ETF. It'll be shooting up likely but still will only have upside in future. Holding off until then also but keeping close eye on it. If rule change is denied, then we'll see a pretty large $200-300 drop at least in my opinion for a bit.

I will buy only after ETF decision is made as there is a full possibility that price will go down if ETF gets disapproved and it may take price back to $1000 level so that would be the best price to buy at cheaper rates so I will wait till next week and then decide what to do next.

But what I have heard is that there are only 20% chances of getting approval so the more chances are of getting denied and if that happens then we will see some decline in the price so its better to wait and watch and see what is going to happen next and take decision accordingly.

By looking on today's priceI prefer to regret I didn't join to bitcoin earlyer and buy it like 200$ per coin. That's true. Such price as 1200$ per coin is too high to me to even think about buying of bitcoin. No. I decided to put some % of my monthly bitcoins on a side to look what it will bring to me. Of course I haven't even a feeling to repeat the success of those guys who invested in bitcoin in the most beginning and to become a milionare, But If bitcoin will continue to rise I will be able to make some money on it.

That argument is for the day traders. For Bitcoin, it is buy and hold.
We may be at a local maxima, but buy and trade will still get returns in the long run.

Maybe the phrase buy low, sell high is for day traders but I think buying lower than the price we have now means more profit for the buyer. So even if one plans to hold long term, I guess just wait for a drop to happen since for me the price right now is too big to buy in right now and there is this chance that it will take a very long time before we can even see price ranges like these again in the future.

Who knows. I've seen a lot of people predicting that to happen, so maybe it doesn't happen because people will get in in anticipation of that, which means the price will not even go under $1000. People always act before they say so, in the moment of truth you never go at the limit. If your buying point is "under $900" you will at the end of the day buy at $1000 or at $1000+ a couple dollars. You dont wanna be left out of the game because you try to be super precise with the buying order.

And if the ETF passes and you are left out holding dollars after selling a day before you will feel like shit... thought call.

Nothing prevents the price to maintain the $1000 level at the time the ETF does not get approved and a powerful chain of panic sellers start dumping like there is no tomorrow. Panic is a dangerous weapon for each and every market because people in panic don't think before they act. That's why I never rule out the price to fall to certain price levels. I have seen it happen often enough that the price kept goint down to levels people were thinking they were impossible to reach.

OP was right, here is the dip, now buy and stop crying when it keeps climbing again. Peak was $1298, now we dipped at $1229, very typical of bitcoin. Idiots panic sold, smart people bought more. See you at $1300.

10% fluctuations are nothing for any commodity and it is always most common for bitcoin prices. I am too sure that we can expect a small fall down after reaching the big round number $2000 levels because it must be a physiological target for both traders and investors. They will book profits at those levels to leave another round opportunities for active traders.

But when very first time bitcoin prices was testing $1000 levels, it was not finding big sell off there as new investors were in more numbers than sellers. Similarly in $2000 levels too we can expect the same thing then same ~10% pull back will happen around $2080 levels.

I have been hodling since the price was sitting well below the $300 mark, and so far I have almost constantly kept hodling beside a few cash out moments in order to be able to buy back in case the price drops.

And yes, it feels amazing. Especially if you see that Bitstamp peaked at $1298 today and probably will break through $1300 within a few days, having the usual calmer weekends in mind.

The price did exactly as you said: I was watching yesterday when it hovered around S1,250 then dropped momentarily by $10. A very healthy breach today at $1,300 means even if it breaks again, it can't easily let go of 1K. Going to see some profit-taking this weekend, with an opening on Monday below 1,200?

i'm with you because bitcoin have a higher chance to increase in the future, and with this last pump it seems so, but there is always a certain risk to fall again because of hackers, because of bug or hard fork or any other things, too much unknown variables, but yes anyone will regret not buying now when bitcoin will be $1500 with EFT approval, $2k is still too much imho, too far away, by looking how slowly this thing si rising it's better to think about $1500 as a next target

It's really a question how high it can go.
If you look at the number of people who have nothing to do with bitcoin at the moment, and then add the possibility of including bitcoins in funds, I see a price of 10K in a few years of not being difficult to reach.
But with higher price, the transactions fees will rise most likely as well.
And that leads us to the question if bitcoin then still is a currency, or nothing more than an investment.

But on the other hand, if all those things you said comes out positive you could already expect to see a sudden pump on the prices of bitcoins since all of those will positively affect the prices of bitcoin. All of it has a chance to fail but if some or all of it succeeds then you'll regret selling right now. It's just a matter or perspective here.

The 200 days moving average converges toward 100 days moving average line around $1800 to $2100 levels. This must be a very good confirmation on market sentiment for continuation of current bull rally.

We can expect to sustain there itself as higher prices already started attracting media coverage to make in adopters and investors get into board. Hence I believe this not a profit booking time, it is time to enter and multiply our networth.

Because we can expect prices to hit $10k levels in next one or one and half years. Just hodl.

Current drop isn't that big of a deal if you consider that not all people have the balls to keep holding at the time the price takes a short break. People feel confident as long as the price is going up, but as soon as they see a decline or stagnant moment, they are out. Let them exit as it will only benefit the market as their coins will flow into stronger hands.

Yes it seems like today is the best tome to buy and sell nd be one of those profit takers however I noticed that exchangers changed their Buying price and Selling price difference like in a normal day when Bitcoins price dont jump from 1,130 to 1,180 in a matter of 15 minutes buying and selling price difference is just a few dollars from each other but when theres an active movement the difference of buyimg and selling is big.

Seems like people got nervous at the fast $1,200 rise, a nice correction coming, but don't blink or you may miss it, tons of buy pressure and people scared of missing on owning shares of this financial revolution, doubters that still don't own any bitcoins will not let the price go below $1,000 again.
