I had all 4 out with not too much trouble. The only side-effect for me was a very, very fat face!

I managed to find a really nice one as well to be fair to them, she was the only one who spotted that I actually had a problem with grinding in my sleep and that was what was causing the major problems, not brushing my teeth which I'm completely paranoid about now >_<.
paranoia will wear off soon, and laziness will take over, lol

I had a partial impaction of one of my wisdom teeth that got horribly infected. The dentist wanted to extract it, but I decided to wait and see what happened. A week of antibiotics later, and the infection's gone and the tooth came through perfectly fine. And that's the story of how despite the best efforts of my dentist, I still have all my teeth. 
That's exactly what I was talking about earlier. Those evil dentists are very eager on pulling stuff out. Although I love mine, she's an exclusion from this rule.

I had all 4 removed at once. It wasn't a very painful experience for me. I was back to work in the next couple days but taking oxycodone just in case.
Braces overall was a shitty experience. I resisted almost all of it and that didn't help either. Since they were removed, several of the teeth moved back to their original position and my under-bite was fixed but returned about a year and half later.

The only bad thing about having mine removed was the moment when the dentist broke the teeth from my jaw. Horrible cruunch, but no pain! 
I often read that western dentists are very eager to persuade a patient on removing their wisdom teeth, when in truth it's not a must. They do it for profit mostly.
Unless it's an absolute must, when growing tooth may damage and compress other teeth TOO much I would never go for it. Sure it can cause some discomfort when it's growing, but it's not that hard to wait it out.
Also methods of anesthesia used mostly in these removals has huge strain on your heart. Lethal outcomes are not unheard off.
Worst case scenario - having an allergic reaction to the drug.
And the final thing - your dentist should never pull any of your teeth out, when (80% cases) it's possible to fix it (i had some unbelievable "saves" when I started going to a dentist).

Can't say I am a regular brusher. My teeth have gotten yellow and some of them are see-through on the tips.
Enjoy it is my advice. There's no experience quite like it.
My first two had to be cut in half to be removed, couldn't eat anything or drink anything that was either hot or cold for a week and it hurt like hell.
The next 2 were pulled out with no problems and I got to eat 2 days after.

I wish someone would have told me what a horrific experience it was going to be. Fortunately I was able to get a dentist to see me and promise that he will skip the first time formalities and get this thing out of my mouth.
