Getting altcoins and airdrops are easy to get only if you join the right and good bounty campaigns. You can get these tokens from trading, signature campaigns and writing blogs.
Signature campaign has stopped to be as good as it was 1 year ago. I remember the times when you could make a lot of money for a signature campaign and allocation was from 30% of tokens for it. Now the most profitable campaign is Youtube
That's what I feel now. Signature is not the main thing, but the signature will definitely give you rewards for just posting. Unlike YouTube, Youtube is indeed a good campaign for us to follow. But if you make a video that isn't good, of course you won't get anything.

There is no such definition called "right bounty campaign" in my humble opinion. The reliable bounty campaigns are not paying nice amounts like in gold days way back to the 2017 and the chances are low for receiving bounty earnings right after the end of bounty campaign.

Most of the projects don't want to give away the free coins, so they distribute late. Delayed bounty distribution have some consequences like losing some of the bounty hunters, wrong calculation per address.
if the problem is, all returns to management from the bounty manager or team. there are still many managers and projects that provide coins for free, because that can grow their community. or increase the trading of their tokens. that's all part of the strategy of project development.

Getting altcoins with these methods is not recommended right now I guess, because some of the bounty campaigns that are circulating in the forum right now are not legitimate and they are just depending on the market status. If the market goes down for sure they will close right up the campaign which is very disappointing especially when you already wait for a couple of months.
Airdrops also not recommended because some of them will just give so little amount of tokens but very serious instructions to make. I suggest you should have some capital and then try to go trade some high volume tokens and coins.

I have been participating in bounty campaigns for the past two years or so. But I have not found any significant projects that are worth working for except for some projects. Some of the good projects I have ever found are Miracle Tele, Bitbond, Prepayway, Cryptomarketads, Sessia etc. I know these projects will not disappoint you.

The "trick" to turn airdrops really profitable is having lots of referrals, that's way we've launched our community driven airdrops platform. Otherwise it's true that it may be a waste of time.

True, if there is no reference, then joining the airdrop will be in vain, because references before joining are needed
so that we can know how airdrop was developed.

Thank you for sharing here. Maybe I will try to participate in airdrop. Because my friend earns a lot from airdrop. And I want to also follow the steps like my friend. It doesn't hurt to try to participate in airdrop. If you can't get something from airdrop, maybe only time is wasted.
You know what, time is gold and maybe you don't wanna waste that. This thread was made in the last two years where airdrop and bounties were good. Participating on today's bounties and getting airdrops is very hard and like i said only waste of time, so better we might stay off as well.

Great testimony! May we share it on our Twitter?

I've attended Faircoin airdrop long time ago. Kept the coins forgotten in the wallet, it is now aroud 3~4 BTC.

Woah - that's impressive!

I kept the coins for about 3 years, and still keeping. I'll be rich or get nothing....

I think some of those who joined the airdrops were just using more e mails which I seen it unacceptable and dishonest to the rules of the airdops. But we cannot prevent those farmed emails, and to give suggestions we bust always be honest and responsible in joining the airdrops. The opportunity might get you earned profitable coins in the future, so never do unrighteous acts.

I mine a bit but that is slow and ticking along, Buying needs cash and coding needs skills that I don't have so airdrops are pretty attractive as I like to collect and hold coins and enjoy reading about the different projects in crypto land. Each airdrop would give a me a better reason to look at particular coins and broaden my shitcoin portfolio even more Smiley. One day I might even get membership status so I can receive some project coins .... oh the wait

EthereumDark's airdrop is on.It is a POS currency with a very active dev,low supply(4.2 million max) and a very fast speed of developments.Round 2 airdrop is on,All yiou need to do is to send dev a pm with your ethdark wallet address and you'll get somewhere between 100-400 coins based on your rank.Right now the price is around 2500 sat but it will surely increase once the bounty dumpers are done dumping.

Just as NEM and ripple gifts are worth a lot more now. However both of them have made them effectively unable to take your coin from them after a certain number of days

After missing the NEM opportunity there was no way i was going to miss deep onion, especially considering what it will offer in the future. Especially with all the crack down on the darkweb markets. The airdrop if free, has conditions and if it doesn't work out, sa la vie.

I like airdrop rewards because the requirements are quite easy, I have accepted it but I cannot hold it for too long and immediately sell for fear the price will be very cheap. the exchange market they use is also less competitive and is only centered on etherdelta alone, or a low-volume decentralized market.

https://wcex.co/ free 50 coins. Maybe later coins will be on a high price. Receive and foget on 3-4 years and then sell for 3-4 BTC:D

Those are tokens rather than coins - my understanding is that you can't sell those on an exchange like a coin, so I'm not going to add them to the table. There are lots of ICOs going on, I'm ignoring them.

You forget to mention CLAM!

Last night I worked out how to go back and retrospectively claim for the Stellar and Bitcore airdrops. Stellar was ok, I got about $60. Bitcore was disappointing, just 2.8 - worth about $5.50, so I may not bother with following up further (you can get 3% more each Monday if you hold 10).

FYI, the reason I hadn't claimed before is that I hold my BTC offline in a Ledger Nano. It's a neat device, but an early model which doesn't have the capability to sign a message - which was a requirement of both of these airdrops. Long story short, I moved my BTC out (since the airdrop claim dates are in the past) then created new wallets with Bither with the same passphrases as the Ledger. Then I used Bither to sign the required messages. Now I'll probably wipe the Ledger and create a new wallet (since I worry the passphrases are now compromised) and then put my BTC back. Job done.

And 0.75 gbytes is really nice. I wish I were there that time Smiley

The Byteball airdrop on Monday went smoothly. I got 0.56Gb, so about $200. The next one is 6 September.

Meanwhile the Coinstarter bonus has gone back up from 2 to 15.

I remember the NEM airdrop... I think I got 6000 coins at the time which would be worth today 0.4 BTC. Unfortunatly I sold them way too early.
The easiest way to participate in future airdrops is to just hold some BTC in cold storage and claim future forks similar to the bitcoin cash scenario. Another passive way to participate in airdrops is by holding WAVES and WCT tokens. If ,for example, you held 5000 WAVES for 8 months, you would have made by now close to 0.35 BTC worth from the following airdrops: WCT, MER, RBX, WGO, MRT. These airdrops are ongoing so you guarantee future earnings.

I am going to check this out. These are free tokens after all. Effortless way to get some share of a newly introduced token. Who knows, it might grow big in the future? But of all airdrops made, there were only few tokens that really got a trusted reputation in the market. There are also other free airdrops that are not actually free like Deeponion. You are required to wear a signature and avatar and make posts.

apparently NEM and ripple giveaways are worth a lot now.  although both made it effectively impossible to get your coins from them after a certain date.

I think all people got xem and xrp in giveaway times already sold them for cheap money. Airdrop hunters can't wait long time to keep their coins.

So true. Most airdrop hunters accumulate and accumulate and then dump when the coin hits the market. its always a risk as some turn to vapour real quick. I do however regret no jumping on the XEM distribution. As for me I always hold, and hope, and hold some more.
I concur, that is most of my observation but among the airdrop I know, XEM really standout. Look at NEM right now, its a very good coin and its on the top 10 in coinmarketcap. Its already successful and so much project on the lineup.
I agree with you XEM very potential, but it has increasing very more if compare the price in first time, and about the ratio growth, XEM high than very more Ethereum! So, correction the price in current is important for the future of XEM

Depends how you define significant.  Best i've done was getting .75 gbytes just before the round 3 airdrop in a giveaway I lucked into.  With subsequent rounds of appreciation it's over 2 gbytes now, so >$1000.  There were some NEM drops that netted people tens of thousands, maybe more.  So it's possiblebut also not terribly likely.

As the receiver you need to be a strong holder too, cashing in quick might be nice but sure won't make you rich.

I've seen there's a suggestion in another thread that Ziber may be a scam (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ziberio-is-a-scam-do-not-invest-now-confirmed-doors-are-now-closed-hahaha-2048619). I don't know either way, so for safety I have removed its URL from the table above.

Has anyone ever made any significant amount from free coin giveaways or airdrops?
For me it just seems like a waste of time, but I'd love to hear from some other people who have some succes stories... Smiley

apparently NEM and ripple giveaways are worth a lot now.  although both made it effectively impossible to get your coins from them after a certain date.

4 btc from an airdrop? I'm relatively new here and all I've seen are worthless airdrops. Do you think there will be others of value again in the future?

most airdrops/sigdrops/giveaways are nearly worthless when given.. Byteball and Stellar are exceptions.  Some giveaways have turned out to be very valuable if held for a long time (Ripple, NEM, Decred, there are many others); but they were next to worthless at the time of the giveaway.

if you're looking for somebody to give you a quick $50 or $100 today, panhandling is gonna be more profitable than the giveaways around here.

So far I've doubled my bitcoin holdings with Byteball. Also, Decred was another coin that the airdrop would be worth around 4 btc today if held. I think it was 1 btc worth at the time of airdrop as well, so of course most people took that and ran.

for the OP thank you for the list I will try it

No problem. Meanwhile I've updated the table regarding the current StraightCoin and CoinStarter events (in the latter case the giveaway has dropped from 75 to 50 and drops again tomorrow).

Thanks for the list Smiley

You're welcome!

I made a couple of replies to Sindbad's comment and have had them deleted, no idea why, so I think I have to be careful what I say here or it will happen again.

I've attended Faircoin airdrop long time ago. Kept the coins forgotten in the wallet, it is now aroud 3~4 BTC.

Woah - that's impressive!

I kept the coins for about 3 years, and still keeping. I'll be rich or get nothing....

If you kept your original Faircoin airdrop 3 years ago and did not follow the development, those coins will be worthless today. FYI there was a coin swapped that happened before as far as I can remember.
