Only just seen this message... because MultiBit board is "hidden" in Archival... do you still need help recovering your bitcoins? Huh

If you have the .key and .wallet files and you know your wallet password, you'll be easily able to recover your private keys and then import them into another wallet like Electrum to recover your coins.

Hello everyone,

i hope someone can help me with recovering some BTC from an old wallet.

All we have is the public adress, we have the multibit.key and the mulitbit.wallet

Inside the multibit.key, there is something like this:

U2FsdGVkX19dBW2Ue1NMs4BRQLRiDb05vNkpQK5ISFLjIV3Qwc4UT1rW0mxzSRK4czVVEw8csXwh
VR0Vqi/7t3beT5VNSYwU8bOKOwiygHO8hr51XoUIz78JdrGd8ot1zKLB3xFVJ5/jAa/+Av1Kt0zt
DhIsVRmYaOgXCtYyx1nVpEOVUlX71cMlUhh29LIA1sXGhznF67zm6yyCisveU6V3hDUhkDNLMZaV
xPB87HA=

(i changed all the letters, just as an example)

How does this text from the multibit.key help?

I tried to download the Multibit Classic, but couldnt find it. All i have is some Java files, but i dont know how to open them? I installed Java, but not sure how to proceed.

Do you guys have any idea? Is there a way to download Multibit Classic as a exe. file for Windows?

Thanks for your help!
