I tend to agree... to an extent... It does stop you participating in other threads though.

i chuckle at people who complain about the newbie restriction and their desire to post else where. I mean, heck, if you can't think of anything to post in the newbie forum, what makes you think that your posts in other areas will be of any value?

Personally, i've gotten better, prompter, responses in the newbie forum than anywhere else. There isn't anything that can be posted in the other forums that can't be posted here. Also, i suspect that responders are more understanding in the newbie section because no level of expertise or knowledge is assumed.

The Only reason i see for people wanting out of the newbie restrictions is Ego. and, Ego will get you mocked faster than anything on the Net.
