I'm starting to believe that Dave Carlson and Adam West (Gigaminer) joined forces to scam us with their new company GigaWatt Pte. Ltd. Inc.

Their announcement thread: ⚡⛏️[ANN] Giga Watt: Best Home for your Mining. Starts today!

I would like to know your opinion. It's possible to change your vote later.

Also with this in mind, lawsuit -> https://www.silvermillerlaw.com/uncategorized/2017/12/28/silver-miller-sues-giga-watt-inc-ico-class-action-blockbuster/
* Gigwatt lost this suit and paid $1 mln.

Other customer experiences:
http://cryptomining-blog.com/9559-you-may-want-to-stay-away-from-giga-watts-services/

10x S9 rigs delivered October 2017 and Gigawatt promised to get my rigs online in:

November 2017 failed
December 2017 failed
January 2018 failed
Februari 2018 failed
March 2018 failed
April 2018 failed
May 2018 failed
June 2018 failed
July 2018 failed
August 2018 failed
September 2018 failed

Gdamn bastards Angry

But I honestly do not think that Giga-Watt will deploy mining rigs anymore [besides their "own"], so basically I/we got screwed again.

The ones to blame: Dave Carlson and Adam? James? West?/Gigaminer (what's his real name?) this gay ...again

Nailed it!!!

5 years later and hashfast-like companies are still operating. That's disgusting, I'm sorry to hear that, server.

How many scams are these guys going to pull?  Granted my memory isn't the best, I'm no Sheldon Cooper, but I believe this is at least the 3rd scam Dave Carlson has pulled and the second scam Giga (Adam West?) has pulled.  This is just what I've noticed from being a forum member for several years.  No idea how many other scams they've been a part of.  In any event, why are people still sending these guys money?  Can anyone just do an ICO making ridiculous promises they won't keep and become an overnight millionaire?

Thanks guys for giving this attention !

But I lost all the money invested in their WTT tokens. Now it hasn't got any exchange or value so sad Sad

Once we started our investigation on that ICO and we got a response from someone that had over 1000 merits, we decided to walk away from that investigation and hoped that person find out the hard way this ICO is a scam.

Thankyou for your thoughts, I would like to say that there isnt a crime in having troll accounts to use in different countries, Its the same as you using icoethics as a name . Good luck on your investigations but your going to get chewed up in here (bitcointalk) With these stupid uninvestigated allegations.

It took me 20 seconds to realise that Yuly Shishman is using a copy Daves Photo. You should be chasing Yuly Shishman with his unofficial twitter account.

I have some miners waiting for deployment. Huh I didn't buy the miners from them but I had some S9's and Bitmain PSU's that I sent to them.  Did you buy new PSU's from them because the Bitmain APW3++ are not UL compliant? I asked and they told me I need to buy their PSU which is UL compliant. Is this a scam?
Yes, Bitmain PSUs are not UL compliant - this was one of the many reasons why they delayed first deployments last autumn.  Government electrician agent did not allow to deploy Bitmain PSUs, and GW was forced to buy another model from Asia - Alpha PSUs - which are UL compliant.   But you can send any other PSU which is UL compliant, but it may cost more than from GW.

I wouldn't send any hardware to these scammers. They stole my rigs one year ago.

Bunch of crooks is what they are.

GIGA WATT absolutely a scam. It was set up as a Singapore based company to avoid US regulations.

They steal, cheat and lie!
not quite correct:  they are originally (and still are) a USA company which set up Singapore based company for selling China mining equipment.

BIG SCAM!!!!

I ordered Nov Batch 5 four L3 model.

It's not on the dashboard till now.
they have big delays with deployment, but you can ask them to send your miners to any address - to your home for example. They did not steal your miners,  and are not  real scammers, they just don't keep deployment promises  Sad

Because,
1. They said It will working in late Dec. when I asked about the delay at the end of Nov.
2. They said It will working in late Jan. when I asked about the delay at the end of Dec.
3. They said It will working in late Feb. when I asked about the delay at the end of Jan.
4. They said It will working in late Mar. when I asked about the delay at the end of Feb.
5. They said It will working in Apr. when I asked about the delay at the end of Mar.

So, I lose the whole time and the machine price went down to $500 from $2500.
If They said it will work next year, then I asked to send my machine to somewhere last year.

What can I say about there working? Isn't it SCAM?

I completely agree they have systematically lied about time frames whether it is due to incompetence, ignorance, blind optimism, fairies whispering to them or any other reason they are continuing a pattern of dishonesty that is costing customers money. There are many ponzi schemes that started out with the best of intentions and got lost along the path. The honorable thing to do is to own the truth and have integrity when you realize there is an issue. There is absolutely no way you can claim honest dealings when you continue to mislead customers week after week and much less month after month. Giga Watt now says it is only "a couple weeks away"  which is basically what they have said since November.

SCAM- and continued lies that materially hurt people, gives the entire industry the negative reputation and hurts us in the long run by continuing to show the rest of the world we are scammers, or at the very least that we support and make excuses for scammers because they are "innovative".

Hello

No exact dates are available to us to provide to you for reasons set forth in updates.  Power coming on is not at our discretion, this is a municipality that controls the power coming online and our updates and information provided to you are only as good as what is conveyed to us. Targeted dates have been changed with us several times. We have reported current information at any given time based on the facts. We choose to be transparent about the evolving landscape of where power build out and deployment is at and understand the frustration with moving targeted dates.

The sales site refers to the month of the batch being shipped from the manufacturer, the same as Bitmain does on their sales site. It does not correlate to deployment date.

Hardware refunds are addressed in the terms and conditions available on the purchase site.  https://www.gigawatt.sg/terms-and-conditions/

I can assure you that all current energy and focus for the whole of Giga Watt is on the deployment of miners.  We have several pods deployed and ready and are simply waiting for power connection to bring them online.

Nope, they're just scamming their customers and mining for themselves.

...right. Do you have any actual source to back that up?

These days you can find complaints about Giga-watt everywhere.

Reddit, Twitter and even on their own Linkedin page.

Don't forget Telegram.

There's no argument about people (especially Dash miners) getting screwed and losing (expected) money by massive delays and reduced rewards. What is unsubstantiated AFAIK is the claim is that GW is somehow benefiting from those delays themselves?

P.S. I partially take my words back about them getting their shit together - things were looking better at the beginning of March when they finally got the first new pods plugged and released the remaining WTT, but finalizing the next pods is still somehow taking them two or three times as much as they're saying - so they have learned absolutely nothing neither about communicating their velocity nor about actually improving it

After 3-6 months they need to deliver or scam-yes-votes will rise in this poll.

Their ongoing failure to deliver alone still doesn't make it a scam, just a colossal failure regardless of what's voted here. Turning into a scam would additionally require some proof of lack of any actual intent to provide the services that they were supposed to provide with the collected money.

No.

They are guilty of overoptimistic projections and atrocious customer support, but it is most certainly not a scam (they actually got their shit together, only much later than they were hoping for).

Also, they didn't lose the lawsuit, they settled it for compensation they were willing to pay back even before the lawsuit (and got back their hardware and mined crypto in the deal).

Giga Watt settles suit over crypto investment.

SPOKANE — Bitcoin mining host Giga Watt Inc. will pay more than $950,000 to settle a federal lawsuit brought by an investor in its under-construction bitcoin-mining facility in East Wenatchee.

The company agreed Jan. 19 to refund the original purchase price of investor tokens and equipment bought by New Orleans-based StormsMedia LLC, which paid bitcoin and Ether cryptocurrency then valued at $953,319 to buy into the project start. The deal settles StormsMedia's lawsuit filed Dec. 28 in U.S. District Court in Spokane.

The lawsuit…

I don't understand why anyone would sue.  It only benefits the lawyers.

As I understood from the lawsue, it had been filled by the people who bought pre-sale tokens for 20 millions USD.

They hoped that token would significantly increase in price.  Now they are angry that unlike many shitcoins (Dogdecoin, Ripple etc) WTT did not scyrocket, and want to get a compensation from GW.  - but I doubt they will succeed.

The people did not sue GW because of the price issue, but because they bought their tokens during ICO sale in June - July 2017 and we are in January now and they still haven't received any tokens yet.

I myself bought 1.1k Giga Watt tokens in the 4th batch of ICO sale by transferring 5 ETH and I still have no idea when I will receive my tokens. They were supposed to be released in September.

Don't think the project was prepered for all law terms between utility token or security token. It was a little gray erea. When project was initiated a lot off Fintech ICO just went for buniness.

It is not professional, i know. It also the fault of the goverment and SEC. They are responsible to outline the rules and not to point out how business must be down. So SEC look in the mirror and let it go for early bird companies and be pleased with all the free lessons taken. Make a quick deal and let it go.  Angry
