Any way to find out?
the cards *may* pull too much power from the motherboard. that's the only issue i can think of.
I've heard so many different things on this, so I'm looking for a bit of a consensus (or hopefully just somebody to explain the answer with why or why not).
The Setup:
AMD Sempron 140
2GB DDR3 RAM
5x XFX 5870 GPU
Big open sided case (or well cooled, not sure on this either)
2x 850W power supply (or one 1400W)
Is there any reason why I can't attach four x1 to x16 cable extenders and get five GPUs in this machine?
