I am not related to the stuff in any way, but at the previous weeks I have seen a big amount of post and threads that features girlbtc, and not always at a thread that was made to promote it, sometimes just at random posts over the forum.
I think that it might be the reason you received your temporary ban, you can promote yourself through a signature campaign, but posting your site all over the forum is against the rules.

IIRC, hilariousandco warned him/her some time back to stop posting only for the purpose of self-promotion and it doesn't seem like he/she got the point.

This user does nothing but spam - posting ridiculous comments. Must start about 6 or 7 threads a day.
The user in question was constantly making crappy, low quality posts & starting way too many threads. It was only a matter of time until a ban came.

A notice on that website about the current situation with the same information would aswell have done the job, and not required an evasion of their ban.
In addition, I believe that signatures and personal text can be edited on an account whilst banned. I can sympathize with them and understand dogie's point, however (AFAIK) they had been warned previous to their ban that they were doing things wrong and continued to do so. You can promote your service and not spam the forum at the same time. I saw you posting and convincing to use your gambling site on threads where your post are considered offtopic thus it is a form or spamming. What more you are running a signature campaign and you wear one nad you've been posting spam threads which is unnecessary to be posted in the forum.
