Hello,

Thanks for the reality check.  I had been fairly certain there would be a lot of work involved in finding a gaming platform which is as willing to support another cryptocurrency as the common exchanges are for adding a new pairing.

I can't really craft a set of action items to bring games into existence for an arbitrary blockchain when choice A is "try code which isn't vetted or maintained" and choice B becomes "shut up and take my money" to essentially license an instance of a game from a professional operator.

Relatively low gaming revenue and few new users would be the expected yield when introducing games from a professional operator to coin communities which currently have low transaction volume.
At the same time, adding games would increase the transaction volume and so it seems reasonable to strive for having some fair and trustworthy production quality game instances readily accessible as free software.

Surely people have solved this problem without starting their own casino and hiring capable developers and site operators.

Have you had any experience with engaging gaming site operators to include an additional cryptocurrency to their set?

Yes, and adding a new currency to their platform will take alot of effort and convincing. Most gambling sites only add a currency that they are a part of (an investor, a partner), and some add it because of player's popular request.

The important thing when adding another currency beside Bitcoin(IMO) are its Market, Volume, Ease of use and implementation and user acceptance. A few questions to ask would be, 'will it benefit the site in the long run?', 'will it attract more new players?', 'is it easy to integrate with your current platform?' etc..

Thanks for the feedback about the wheel of fortune game being a shitty offering.
Do you recommend any particularly attractive games?

IMO, do not use any of the repos that you might find, just check them out, understand it, take ideas from it and build your own.If you can't code your own, your best bet is to hire someone to code it for you. But becareful when buying scripts or hiring someone. Learn from the recent scam of Bitbox where they sold ready made sites which has alot of bugs and eventually scamming their clients.

Hi MillionsBTCdev,

    Thanks for your good advice.

I'm beginning to think the best move would be to learn what attracts an existing gaming site to include another cryptocurrency.
-- rather than augmenting an existing faucet page; let the gaming site operator do what they do best and run the games.

Nowadays, there are only a few github repo that are still maintained that has something to do with Provably Fair Bitcoin gambling. Most of the sites hire their own developers to code their site and the codes are usually kept in private. Most if not all repo you see on github are either defunct, abandoned, not maintained, clone or with backdoors. So be careful in using any of them.

Some examples:
https://github.com/RHavar/pevpot - provably fair lottery that is made by RHavar but is now defunct and not maintained.
https://github.com/Bitsino/BitsinoDice - another defunct site and abandoned project.
https://github.com/popmanhe/Node_Dice - another repo that has potential but is now abandoned

https://github.com/felinegambler/CryptoBlackJack - an infamous clone of blackjack script made by johny1976, **possible with backdoors**
https://github.com/felinegambler/CryptoDice - same as above and with **possible backdoors**

Special Mention:(Moneypot.com scripts)
https://github.com/untitled-dice/untitled-dice.github.io - is the famous dice template for Moneypot but is not maintained anymore and may not work with new api of MP.
https://github.com/Dexon95/bitsweeper - is also a script for Moneypot that was made by Dexon.

IMO, do not use any of the repos that you might find, just check them out, understand it, take ideas from it and build your own.If you can't code your own, your best bet is to hire someone to code it for you. Script announcement thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/free-script-untitled-dice-run-your-own-bitcoin-dice-site-no-server-needed-1062680

I have also seen one tor based dice site with open source script, check their announcement thread here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/penguindice-an-open-source-bitcoin-dice-betting-tor-hidden-service-1784488

You can visit their site and can download their script for free.

Hello,

Time has passed for many of us and the flavor of the week has changed too.  When looking to put a faucet on the web to help promote a project, it would be nice to have a game or two as standard issue.  What are the most widely accepted, community trusted and maintained games?

How do most new sites go about finding FOSS/shareware/freeware games they can run on their own production environments?

I'd like to start with as few simple games as possible which come from reputable sources on GitHub where there are active contributors or a developer still paying attention to the project, where outstanding issues had been solved.

TRUTH:  I have not spent much time gambling with coin, probably just a dozen rounds at most over the past 5 years and no longer which to ignore a potentially captive audience.

Please share a few thoughts and links to the best known production quality games. (functional not necessarily flashy)
I'm looking for links to source code repositories which are free as in beer and free as in speech.

Best Regards,
-Chicago
