You can't really do anything as a beginner and if you can it will be next to money. I would say focus on increasing your knowledge so that you can give back to those who have already been here as well to the incoming newbies everyday. After a month or two then try and seek ways to make money but first you must provide value. That is critical to making the forum a better place.
Yes the rank system is designed this way to make sure their is no abuse. This is also why some of these acc's sell for high amount of money when they got for example legendary status.

You can only gain 1 activity per day over a period of 14 days so posting multiple times daily does not help if you do it every day. The activity is calculated on a 14 day range so it is possible to gain 14 activity points in one day if you have not posted the other 13 during that span.
