These types of scams have been going on for a long time. In 2020 there was a major incident where the twitter accounts of high-profile personalities like Joe Biden and Elon Musk were compromised and they tweeted out an address and promised to multiply your Bitcoin if you sent BTC to them. The scammers were eventually caught because they sent some of their funds to centralized exchanges which had their KYC information.

this may be a classic way for scammers to get money. but it is still possible for people to fall for such deception. because every day there might be new people interested in crypto investment. and they search for random sources of information from social media or even search engines. and scammers have many ways there.
anyone must understand, Bitcoin or crypto is not a place to multiply our money. so when we decide to invest, we have to be patient. no one will multiply our money for free. Hopefully, no victims will be caught in scammer cases like that again.

Everyday there are newbies will get interest from what they are posting especially if they use a famous personalities then there's a chance that they will be caught up by their scams. That's why this classic scam never ends and it circulate even by now since they know that they can still get a victim since not all of the people knows about what they are doing is just pure scam. That's why its better for newbie to be financial literate and aware about such thing exist so that they will never get attracted for such offers they see on internet.

But unfortunately for other they always find the easiest way as they can to earn fast money that's why usually they fall on this scams and lost their money for those fake ones they encounter. To many scams testimonies online so its good for newbie before participating on anything related to profit or income gaining they must research about that topic since its very helpful to them to know any scam methods which still currently exist.

As technology is improving, cyber gangs are trying different ways to fool people. Many times it is seen that AI generates various scam projects on various social media. People who are newbies are losing their huge amount of funds by falling in the trap of all these scams, moreover it has become the most risky for newbies. AI generates successful scam projects like a project where people think it's a really good project but later turns out to be a scam. Due to this advancement in technology it is very difficult to know who will cheat and who will not, but those who have been involved with cryptocurrency for a long time are less likely to cheat. But the people who come to invest in new projects and invest money in those projects eventually lose their money and become destitute. That's why newbies should always keep in mind and be well educated about technology so that they don't get scammed and lose out while taking utmost precautions.

It is disheartening to hear that scammers are now exploiting AI(Artificial Intelligence) by asking it misleading question to generate more scam ideas. It is essential for everyone to stay alert and be wary of phishing emails tweets and other promotion that claim to offer cryptocurrency giveaways.
Scammers always try to attack on the mind of a human. They just think wisely and set a good mind to grab money from other people. So everyone should be careful.
Everywhere everyday there are many scammers wand to us Tobe thier victims and one of the best example is like what Op said above, anyways  there are many people around the world did not know yet abot crypto air maybe they will know but very small knowledge and I think that's the reason why they fall this kind of trap by the (AI) scammers and as we can see about how the AI messages.
This is the bad of an AI cause once it's program about this kind of work then all along AI will scamm.

Giveaway scams will be on the rise now that the bull market is nearing. Scammers will love to use the approaching bull run to trick people into believing in their bogus ideas. They always have a unique method of convincing their victims that what they are saying is true when it is not. Newbies and others must exercise extreme caution and be vigilant in order to avoid falling victim to such schemes. Not only newcomers, but I've seen that certain people are greedy, and fraudsters are always on the lookout for folks like that to scam on the go.

Yes, scammers have different system of scamming people these days and newbies are their major target in the community, because they know that newbies are very easy to be deceive with their fake information. I believe, many bitcoiners will start avoiding giveaway now in any forum based on what is happening now because it pain when someone loose a huge amount of money to scammers, and there is no way you can get the money back because all those fraudsters are very smart in doing such negative things which will be very difficult for anybody to catch them to recover the money back. I think, those people falling victim to those giveaway scammers are greedy people, because I don't know why some people will just believed that there is a free Bitcoin or Ethereum as giveaway and people will begin to send their personal details that will give access to scammers.

So, newbies and everyone should stay careful of phishing emails, tweets etc promoting a giveaway. It's unlikely to get a genuine crypto giveaway. It's better to stay clear of it, as the few information required of you to join the giveaway can be used to sweep your cryptocurrency.

The better choices will be to avoid all giveaways and airdrops we see on social medias. This days even going to the official twitter handle to confirm a giveaways or airdrop news isn't safe anymore because those handlers are getting hacked by hackers and been used to validate their scams. We have to increase our security awarenesses and also avoid using our main wallets that we use for holding our Bitcoin or other cryptocurency to use in participation in any online tasks that's if we must interact with them.

The rate at which scammers using the twitter CEO to scam people is increasing so why don't we just consider anything that has to do with Elon musk and giveaway a scam. They're not only on twitter as I see them too when watching some crypto related YouTube videos. Scammers are advancing and the used of AI makes their scamming ideas endless and that's one of the disadvantages of this new technology as they'll enhanced those that want to use it negatively.

The more Bitcoin gets popular, the more we get more scammers and hackers pick interest in the industry because they know they can easily find gullible victims here as the market is full of newbies with little or no experience. We shouldn't be ignorant or we'll regret as we become victims of this scam, we have to be one step ahead of this scammers and that's by staying informed.

Many people will understand this scam content and many people will be cheated by fraudsters here. Especially those who are new here lose a lot of money from all these giveaways, and they face losses. There are many scam giveaway campaigns currently running on various social media, so it's best not to join them as if there is a wallet connected there you may be exposed to fraud. If you deposit money again, it is not possible to withdraw that money later, instead there is a trap for fraud. So it would be wisest to keep yourself free from all these giveaways and better for newbies, and they won't get scammed. But there are many giveaways where people can earn good amount of money without scams, especially in all the exchanges where such giveaways are available. So all the airdrops that come on top exchanges are fine, but I think it's not right to deposit money or connect a wallet there.

You are right OP, similar give away scam like this was used to scam over 100btc during  the covid 19 pandemic. That time Bill gate and Elon musk was the two person that the scammers used to scam people of their bitcoin.

The scam statement on Twitter was written like this I have benefited a lot from the community and I want to give back to the community. Anyone that send any amount of bitcoin to this address will be given back double of what he sent. And a lot of people fell for it at that time. It was when I learnt about this giveaway scams. Don't be greedy and think of reaping from where you did not sow from, because you will end up being a victim.

This is not just one or two times you see such giveaway scams but if you are active on twitter and other social media platforms, you will find many people would be using these personalities name and scamming. Even they would be running a live which a pre-recorded any interview of Elon Musk and scamming people through the descriptions and chat.

I was wondering, many people would be their traps and they are running this as their business, else why would they do this if only few people get scammed. Seems like vast majority of the people are their victim.

Its time we should learn that such giveaways are fake and no one is going to give us free money. Actually it is our human nature of getting some free money, that temps us to fall for these scams.

Even before, these fake giveaways are already existing so this is not new actually. However, scammers now are getting smarter to use the new technology to come up with better ideas and strategy to lure the people. Especially now that Christmas season is coming, it's already expected that this kind of fake giveaways will increase.

Thus, we should be careful, especially the newbies who are not too familiar with this. Don't believe easily and always verify the legitimacy of the giveaway and the one who's conducting it. If you have doubt just ignore these giveaways.

That's right whenever I open my Twitter I saw many tweets like this and day by day they are getting stronger and they invent new methods and now they are getting Ideas from AI so this is worse thing. Many innocent people catch in there traps and lost the money. The people who don't know them they always dive in the scam world otherwise others know that they are just scamming people. Oh believe me scams like this will never end no matter the rules from the social media platform they are smart and also evolving, In fact to this date I'm still get personal messages from scammers through Telegram and Discord.

Sometimes I see their ad on youtube and twitter like you have said before but direct approach is using telegram and discord you ask a question in a big group like BNB or Trustwaller telegram you will directly called by the scammer.

Giveaway scam is evolving everyday on different social medias, with cybercriminals coming up with great ideas. Which ideas, I think are no longer financed by human brains, but AI. Hence, they'll never run out of AI generated Ideas, on how to con cryptocurrency investors. I found a very real looking tweet of Elon Musk promising a party to users and a link under the tweet. Such tweet, when not looked into, one may think Elon tweeted it. Newbies should be careful of 4000BTC giveaways demanding for 1BTC to be eligible to win the giveaway. The scammers only play with people's fantasies. And when I thought their ideas, came to a halt. Chatgpt was birthed. Scammers took advantage of the AI, by asking it bad questions and earning ideas in return. Although the admins of OpenAI claim to be working on that, but new research shows that, even if the AI is trained not to give answers to questions regarding scam ideas, and terrorism in English, bad players can ask with alternative languages like Zulu. And the AI would respond using that language. Thereby increasing the rate of Giveaway scam ideas. So, newbies and everyone should stay careful of phishing emails, tweets etc promoting a giveaway. It's unlikely to get a genuine crypto giveaway. It's better to stay clear of it, as the few information required of you to join the giveaway can be used to sweep your cryptocurrency. Most of them are now equipped with AI generated Ideas, from what I understood from this article

Image from a crypto giveaway article by coinbase https://www.coinbase.com/blog/crypto-giveaway-scams-and-how-to-spot-them
Most tea these big names and celebrities do post disclaimers about them asking any one for money of conducting such giveaways but these scammers understand the psychology of unsuspecting internet users  who are probably gullible and seeking opportunities to earn online and take advantage of it.

It's common sense to understand that most of these big names cannot and will not conduct such using their personal social profile, I'd they want to do any of such they do it via promotions with organized platforms or to charity. So when you see such post on personal profile belonging to such big personality, the obvious should be that it's a copy account by scammers and you shouldn't fall victim to such. These scammers are becoming so innovative by the day such that all they need you do is click on those links and they will gain full access to your profile and manipulate what ever they wish to so it's advisable not to send money to anyone you don't know that has no official documentation and do not click on any link that looks suspicious

There are numerous fake giveaways floating around Twitter. You don't even need to spot a fake giveaway; simply ignore those that offer free money. You have to keep in mind that nothing in the world is free. So if you fall into the free-earnings trap, you may lose everything. Hackers would drain your wallet somehow when you inputed your wallet credentials to their fake giveaway website. Mostly, Twitter and Telegram have become safe havens for scammers lately. So when you find something with free-earnings offers on social platforms, just ignore it and be safe.

Scammers are constantly coming up with new ways to con people, and it is nothing new for them to utilize modern technologies to make it harder for victims to control their schemes. Scammers use a variety of techniques to con people. They always seem to get a lot of attention with this giveaway technique, in my opinion. I have no idea why some individuals think that free money is so real, especially when it comes to things in the internet.

Since everyone wants to be the richest person in the world and we as humans are supposed to know how difficult it is to obtain money, I didn't expect even newbies to fall for this type of scam, even though I am aware that many of the people who fall victim to these types of scams are novices. Instead, I thought that even novices would understand that scammers are the ones who are having fun and that there isn't any free money on the internet.

Scam is really on the increase in this computerized age, scammers are taking advantage of modern technological advancements like A1 technology to defraud unsuspecting individuals of their hard earned money. I'm always very careful and vigilant anytime i see any too good to be true offers on the internet, because most of them are scams. It goes beyond greed to be scammed this days, because some offers can come in innocent forms, like links telling you to apply for America visa or to work in Canada, people from other continents that are looking to migrate to these countries for greener pastures are easily enticed to open the link, only for them to be directed to a phishing site in the link.
Some will ask you for processing fees immediately to facilitate the journey. Most times this links are forwarded to you by trusted individuals who ignorantly resend it to their loved ones.

I've stated my opinion on issues like this in a similar thread where I said that it's best to treat every unknown persons or sites as potential scams, this will help you not to easily relax your guard to trust them.

I'm not an expert on this new technology, but if I'm not wrong, the AI is being taught to not answer certain types of questions, specifically ilegal or immoral ones (like how one could destroy the world with the help of artificial intelligence).

As others said, giveaway scams are not anything new, and I don't think that artificial intelligence will have a great impact on the matter. Maybe some scammers will take advantage in the beginning, but IMO these problems will be addressed soon, if not already.

Crypto giveaway or airdrop fraud is nothing new, there are always people who use someone's big name to trick their victims. And the victims targeted by fraudsters are those who have a greedy nature, therefore fraudsters always offer promises of high income even though it is clearly impossible, for example, you say 4000BTC but we have to send 1BTC like this condition is unreasonable and clearly fraudulent.
Such fraud has happened very often in the past through several things where the basic concept is that everyone has to send Bitcoin first to get more Bitcoin. Obviously this makes no sense even if the fraudster brings anyone's big name into his program, because he will definitely choose the name of someone who is already very rich and famous to deceive more people who are easily influenced by what he says through his writings in any media.

Quote
I almost got caught in a Twitter scam myself. He invited his acquaintance, claiming to be Korean. In the end, they offer crypto for great rewards. We have to be careful like this, don't be easily tempted by the lure of wealth. Nor does anyone get rich by trying to get rich. There is no such thing
Unreasonable lures should always be avoided because things like that have often happened in the past or when approaching certain moments such as halving. I have also seen several people who were deceived through airdrop programs that required each participant to send valuable coins to the program creator with the offer that they would get ten times the amount they sent. But all of that is just empty talk because basically no one is willing to sacrifice more money for free without any work.

Crypto giveaway or airdrop fraud is nothing new, there are always people who use someone's big name to trick their victims. And the victims targeted by fraudsters are those who have a greedy nature
Your position is absolutely correct. Giveaways or airdrops are 99% fraud, and the majority of scams are full of scammers. The work of these people is to abuse people by giving them money. And as you said in the giveaway, people often use the trick of big names and cheat by giving greed for money. Yes, of course, I myself have witnessed such incidents. Among my acquaintances, there are people who cheat people by tempting them with money in fake NFT giveaways. However, you should be aware to avoid such sacrifices. These people do not wish you well, that they will really give you money, etc. for free, but the purpose of these people is to rob you. It is obvious that greed for money is in the nature of every human being. Even if he gets a lot of money, he should not be so greedy that the scammer does not make you a part of his scam.

So the purpose of saying this is that these people are always trying to make you a part of their trap by trying hard everywhere. So keep yourself away from similar activities if someone gives you an offer of patience that if you invest so much, you will get so much in return. So don't do the same thing; it is not a return but a deception that they want to take away the little fund you have.

As crypto develops, there are many positive and negative things. Many cryptocurrencies are being used by individuals, making crypto appear negative and now it is an easy place for fraud to occur on Twitter or other social media. It is far from the concept of its initial goal which seemed to be taking advantage of the popularity of crypto itself. Many have become victims of Airdrops and givemaways with tempting results with an easy task or with small capital they can get big profits.

Therefore, as crypto lovers, we must have a culture of reading carefully so that we don't understand it mixed up and end up harming ourselves.

So many red flags.
Is it still a giveaway if they ask you for something before you can get it?
A site owner wants to do a giveaway and he's dropping a link for you to go to another site that is not his for the giveaway.
Who does a giveaway of over $139 million? That alone should make you ask a lot of questions.
If billionaires want to give back to the community, there are several charity projects they spend that money on that will benefit and impact more lives instead of just giving it away.

I'm going to blame Elon Musk for scams like this on X (twitter).
Since he took over the app, a lot of bots have thrived on the app and he seems to be doing nothing about it.
The moment you make a crypto-related tweet, your tweet will be attacked with several bots dropping links or commenting on the tweet.

This is not a new thing in crypto space, even videos are used to scam people using AI software to spawn popular actors or crypto developers like Vitalik and people still believe such things, it's sad to think about how many new investors are losing money to scammers online almost everyday, there is always a first time for everyone in everything and mine was not much different.

I remember falling victim to BTCdoublers in 2017 where someone I knew make deposit to the address and he was sent some extra Bitcoin, on seeing this I decide to give a try and I never get anything back, not even the amount I sent to the address, we are all a victim to something until we learn.

If you are a beginner reading through these replies, my advice for you is to always ask questions on this forum before making any financial steps, no matter how legit something looks to you, with thousands of users on here, they must have passed through what you called 'legit' before, maybe it's not what you believe it to be? It's part of why this forum exists.

With the festive seasons coming in for most of the world, Halloween, Christmas and New year, people are at dearth of money in pockets added to it the number of sales that come in like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, we are bound to see more people fall for such scams.

I guess the use of machine learning and social media is a good method to cook up such scam posts and spam them. Eventually we as humans need to use our brains to assess whether a post is a giveaway scam or not. Nothing comes in this world for free, so be alert.

Anyway happy Halloween peeps!

Those scammers would really use those festive since they want to catch the attention of people and think about there's ongoing promotion happen in their platform. This is why its important for us to know about such scams so that we would not fall from it.

Lucky to have online forums and other platforms that educate people regarding on those scams since its really helpful to many people regarding about how they could stay away from those unfortunate incident that could provably happened to them. We really need to use our brain with this since no one will give us fast cash for nothing and these scams use such word high profit to deceive people so we need to be aware on this schemes and stay away.

Also happy Halloween to you and everyone.

Only greedy people always fall for this type of fraud. Their greed immediately increased after finding out the size of the promised prize, even though some of them already had knowledge from other people's experiences. There is nothing real with methods like this, Thank you Op for sharing this news on the forum, I hope forum members are not tempted by offers of big prizes. Awareness must always be increased to prevent oneself and others from being tempted by big offers that don't make sense.
True but it's sad at the same time that newbies are also going to fall for this even if they're not greedy. Being innocent and thinking that these are legitimate giveaways, they might obliged to join those thinking they've found a jackpot. We can hope for the best for these newbies that they won't fall for these tricks because these scammers keeps on reinventing strategies that they can do from different social medias, messaging platforms and other websites wherein they know that newbies are scattered everywhere. They don't target those that are aware of the scam and oldies in the community, but most likely the new ones and those that haven't read about them and how they scam people.

This type of scamming method is so popular that almost everyone knows about it. If someone is a novice in the industry and greedy at the same time, they can fall for such a trap. It doesn't matter who posted the giveaway content people cross check the link before engaging with it. Usually most of the airdrop hunters follow one or two group and they wait for that group to post about the authenticity of the giveaways. To preserve their credibility airdrop group manager verifies these links before sharing them with their community.

 - ignore them
 - don't take to strangers that offer ROI in a short period of time
 - research is very important before investing

If the giveaway details are being shared from vitalik's or elons Twitter handle would you ignore them as well? Some will think the account is being hacked but many greedy members won't mind losing everything due to FOMO.

Giveaway scam had been on the rise for many years even before Bitcoin is created.  Malicious people do this kind of trick to boost their followers in social media platform.  Aside from that they also use this giveaway scam to collect KYC from unsuspected victim.  Others even inject malware to the victims gadget system in order to take control and steal their precious cryptocurrency when they click and download something or connect their wallet to the site.

So we should be very vigilant about this kind of giveaway especially when they are using established cryptocurrency as bait.  We should always check on the official site of the said cryptocurrency whether the giveaway is legit or not.  But best would be ignoring them as the earlier reply stated.  It is ok to miss some cent than to compromise our gadget system and lose all our cryptocurrencies.

The sad thing is that when the technology is developing, scammers will then use this as a medium for their evil plan (scamming). Honestly, we can't rid of them, they will even grow more and spread widely. That is why we should not trust anyone online especially when it talks about money and offering high and impossible rewards and investment returns because it is certainly a big lie and scam.

Hmm, such scams are really not new to the industry. I can remember there was a livestream doubler scam in which many newbies lost their funds just out of greed. At the same time most of the time, the popular Twitter handles are hacked to trap the greedy audience.

Simply what I want to say is that in every scam they use your emotions as a weapon, so learn to control your emotions and do proper research on why they are offering you such things, is there is marketing motto or just a lame giveaway trap to just obtain your useful data/funds.

To avoid any of the upset all you can do is prefer safety and its as simple as ABC... Always Be Careful.. Apply it on every step you are safe and good enough.

As agreed because there are a lot of fake emails I have received, some months ago I had received some fake emails through the spam emails but now I don't know if the fake emails come through my primary page as well. I don't know how they are doing this, is my Email having a problem or they are using something else?

However newbie should be careful about this and they should know how to keep themselves safe from all of these sites and all of these emails which are harmful to their mobile devices and their Laptop, computers, etc. There are some software through which scammers get users' phones' privacy after they install them in their phones and they require some key for it to run smoothly.

Image from a crypto giveaway article by coinbase https://www.coinbase.com/blog/crypto-giveaway-scams-and-how-to-spot-them

with the presence of AI which can no longer be separated from humans, scammers deliberately use it to try to take advantage by deceiving many people, especially deceiving those who are still beginners in the world of crypto or who are truly greedy people. I've also read posts that mention influential people in the world holding bitcoin or ethereum giveaways but in reality it's not them who do that, they even use live streaming videos to attract more people who they want to deceive. remember, nothing is as easy as giving bitcoin or other altcoins nowadays, never trust any tricks they use, we all have to be careful with the tricks they use.

As the festive season is fast approaching, there are lots of scammers out there doing their very best to ache out money from people so as to sustain themselves this season. Just mid be this month, scammers came up with the Isreal/Palestinian war to scam people.  They take advantage of situations and happenings around the world to get at unsuspecting individuals who have no knowledge about their tricks and gimmicks.  Currently, scams are to much that one can not differentiate the fake from the original. It only takes knowledge and proper research to know if such is a potential scam and only those who take their time to do the findings can reveal the truth and expose such scam but people who do not think about it just fall victim of these scams and their funds gone.

Every one needs be careful this season because as it stands now scams are now beginning to look real if one does not do their own research properly. Scammers have Improvised their tactics and strategies coupled with the technology they use which one can not detect immediately if not by careful cross-examination.

Be at alert! Do not fall for scams!

Crypto giveaway scams aren't anything new nowadays. As you mentioned "Twitter" AKA "X", I'll tell you something that I was facing. Almost everyday I would get several notifications from twitter about giveaway. A is giving away 100BNB, B is giving away 5000USD etc. In every tweets they would ask for crypto address for the giveaways. Thousands of thousands of addresses are retweeted everyday. I don't know how they use those or how they targets their victim. I'm almost sure that, they are part of a scammer group.

I would have given the profile links, but unfortunately I deleted my twitter of today. Don't wanna use anymore. Have any of you noticed similar notification from twitter?

All information obtained from social media must be explored further before placing trust, especially when it comes to finances, there is a lot of false information that can lead to fraud that can lose all your money. Now blue tick badges can be purchased for any amount of money, anyone can be decorated with a blue tick badge on their account after depositing a certain amount of money on the Platform.
Buying a blue check badge is one of the strategies fraudsters use to convince potential victims of their trap. You need to be equipped with knowledge to prevent becoming a victim of fraudsters, let the giveaway pass you by rather than feeling regret after knowing the real facts.

With the use of social media, anything now can easily spread in the news feeds and some of the followers will rely on your information, but not all of the information is legit and authentic if you think the post is already suspicious better to prevent or unfollow those people because if they get easily baited with those scams surely its not healthy in your side too and also possible misclick might happen. As you can see on twitter anything can now change that platform even the blue check badge you can now just subscribe easily, if you lack of knowledge you will be caught with this kind of scam. Be observant before committing anything.

I think every newbie have almost the same mindset,  most newbies who are new to crypto thinks it is opportunity they can make money very quickly and this is a strategy scamners think they will be able to use to get newbies. Most newbies believe in having cryptocurrency for free by gaining it through airdrops and also give away and they fall for scams like this because they have no Idea about it and they rush into accepting this offers of free money. It is very important be very oriented by making research to know how scammers work and to understand that nothing is free, money, crypto are gained by work done .

Scams are a big problem now in the community, they'll take advantage of the new technology and use social media as a tool to scam innocent people. Until we all can't determine if it was a scam offer and still greedy, we can't stop scamming as well but instead, it will even grow and spread more. Even though we give awareness to the public but what we have seen, a growing number of people have fallen into scams we're growing as well. Meaning that people only just listen but have never put into their mind about scams.

People should have a weapon against fraudsters, scammers --or what we call that deceive people just for easy money.
That weapon could be, knowledge and awareness.
If you have all of these you will never be their victim, they are just like prey waiting for a victim and most of them are naive people who lack knowledge. Airdrops and giveaways are prone to scams --if we join we must be careful or never join with these activities and keep in mind that there is no totally free money on the internet.
The best weapons are your carefulness and you are not greed.

If you are careful, you will not click on any strange link, click on links sent to you by any stranger who DMs you first.
If you are careful, you will not download any file from strangers.

If you are not greed, you will not go first and send you money by believing in promise like "Send me your money, you will receive a double money from me".

With the rise in the usage of AI, it's definitely not a surprise to see it being used as a tool to scam people and make life easier for scammers. It's important to know that if you have something to be gotten for free, it should be within reason or else it's a scam. It is harder to prove now but it's still at the user's discretion.

If it's too good to be true, it is. That can be a guideline for everyone. It's important to let others know that rule.

I think so, the problem with these scams is that they are based on the law of large numbers: they only need a small percentage of unwary people to take the bait for it to be profitable. And there are always those who are clueless, greedy, etc., and fall for the scam. Logically, scammers are now using AI leverage, taking advantage of the technological tools at their disposal to achieve greater success, so you need to be more aware than ever.

Scammers now taking advantage of technology but if those greedy people will be cautious on what they are joining for sure they will never get scam by this since imagine that the word posted is a giveaway and they should never put any amount for that. If those people ask some fees for higher chances to get some huge money in return to them then this should be a shady practice which they need to avoid. But unfortunately many fall in this schemes because they failed to determine so early that what they are trying to participate is just a pure scam and they are late to realize that they became a victim of it once they already lost their money.

People just need to be aware that scammers always do anything just to deceive them so they should never fall on anything like asking money for a big profit returns since most likely this is just another scam in the making.

It was foreseeable that AI tools would be useful for more than just good purposes. However, I don’t know how naive a person needs to be to believe all the nonsense that scammers promise. It is always unclear to me that a person who believes in a fairy tale with a prize must be stupid, since it is clear to every normal person that this is a deception. At the same time, where do these stupid people get the money that they readily throw away here and there on scam projects? Probably, the fact that scammers fool greedy people is a good lesson to make their brains sometimes work so as not to lose their money.

Sometimes I don't have much sympathy for the victims of such scams. Giveaway scams are always going after people who are greedy or don't know much about crypto.
~
There's no problem whether your sympathizing them or not, and TBH, I don't as well, but on the other hand, those who are getting scammed are the ones who don't have any experience of getting scammed whatsoever, and let's admit it. There are times where the only way for us to learn is thru experiencing, and this is one of them. Getting scammed once is still ok, but getting scammed twice or thrice then you already have a problem - huge problem. Cheesy

I still remember the NFT game Axie Infinity where they are giving too much money for the players that it came to the point where it wasn't sustainable because players are literally getting free money just by playing the game for a few hours, then afterwards they changed the way people can earn. What's my point? Like what others already said here, there's no free lunch everywhere.

Scammers are more deceiving now that they are already using AI that's why we need to stay vigilant at all times, and not get attracted by things like this. Now greedy people, and newbies will be having a hard time distinguishing which is legit or which is not, so I guess the best thing to do is to just ignore those giveaways. Well if you're curious then be careful I guess.

It's important to help victims as a way of sympathizing with them by sharing methods or contributing to threads like this, as nobody can be too careful enough. Even an admin can fall for scam. Although, they're multiple ways these things happen, and I understand nobody would sympathize with a victim of a scam that promises them 3k BTC. But all form of scam still falls under the same category. And also gets us sad along the line. Since it's not the fault of some, calming them and helping out wouldn't be a bad idea.

No such thing as free lunch, look at the new method Twitter is paying influencers to participate in the revenue generated on the platform. Recently, I saw a fresh update regarding the kind of posts influencers have to make to be eligible for the funds. You'd notice that they'll begin to tighten it and make it more difficult for influencers to reach the earning threshold. I'm saying this, in line with your Idea with Axie infinity, which are not scam projects, but when it comes to money it's never too easy to get. That's why people must stay clear of easy money making methods as It could be a scam method. Since, many newbies think of the internet as an easy place to make money, the market for scammers will continue growing. With enormous different ideas. These ideas also make it possible for them to gain recurring victims, as not every victim gets wiser after getting scammed the first time. Hence, awareness can save a newbie.

In the past, we may have encountered similar offers that wanted to give giveaways to people. And with today's technological advances, scammers have started using ChatGPT to carry out their missions. Well, everything is changing with the advancement of technology.

Technology is like 2 blades. It depends on who uses it and that has been proven by the many cases of crimes used by scammers to deceive people. But technology is also used for good things so that it can provide benefits to people.

We have to be more careful and always check the truth. If the offer is too good to be true, it's better to pass it up. Don't be tempted by what you don't know because that will make you forget to check the truth.

So everyone should be careful.

people today are not only just gonna worry about scam giveaways but other things that scammers might exploit, scammers using AI are expanding their horizons, they are becoming more cunning and deceptive, if I remember correctly, there is a thread here in the forum where it talks about AI being used to mimic someone's voice to scam someone. as Upgrade00 has said, "Technology is advancing so fast we barely have time to catch our breaths".

This scam method is not new, it is something that has been in existence. It is just that some people are not careful enough to study and master these strategies in order not to fall pray to it. Apart from what is said above, people ought to know that manner doesn't fall from above. You do not reap where you did not sow. People need to know that;
1. Nothing is given anyone for free
2. Stranger that wants to offer you financial help will likely scam you
If people are conscious of all these, they will not fall pray so often.

Technology is advancing so fast we barely have time to catch our breaths. Deep fakes can be made to look a real that it is almost impossible to tell the difference, meaning we can see the most realistic videos and pictures being used by scammers posing as other people and majority of the population will not be able to tell the difference.

More than ever the best approach is to consider everything to be a scam until proven otherwise. This way you are skeptical of everything you see and are looking to doubt as the first approach. Scam attempts are already considered scams and it will take a whole lot to convince you otherwise.
Yes, and I think we have to be more careful while we also follow the latest trends in technology in other to fall victim to online scammers.
The deep fakes have ruined alot of people's reputations and also led to the loss of some people before major online users understood the possible manipulation of facial formation that can done by deep fakes. Besides, I learned days ago that scammers are also using the Anydesk app to access victim computers remotely once they download or click on a certain link.

There are people who fell for this kind of scam before they know that you should have stay away from giveaways like that although there are real ones but a giveaway can also be used to scam people that's why a person should not believe giveaways l the time and make sure to check all the time if you are interested to join so that the chances of getting scam will be less. You should also keep this in mind, there's no such thing as free money. Yes, there are some people or a company that will give free money but not all the time or they give free money during their celebration. I received free money before around $2000 worth of crypto but that's the only time they have a giveaway.

Giveaway scams are always going after people who are greedy or don't know much about crypto.  They make big promises that you know can't be real, but some folks fall for it anyway.  The scammers know we all want easy money and so they try to trick us with things that look amazing but are really total scams.  It just shows that we have to be really careful in crypto and watch out for deals that seem too good to be real.  If it looks like a totally crazy giveaway or whatever, take a step back and double-check it and  the scammers are hoping you'll be so excited you dont think twice.  We've all gotta keep our eyes open so we don't get fooled.

Once a new technology is introduced there are scammers who are out there deducing methods of how to use it to scam gullible and naive people. This giveaway scams in cryptocurrency doesn’t seem like something that will die off soon or even slow down because of the bounties run by upcoming Altcoin projects. So many of the people new to the cryptocurrency ecosystem and some greedy folks will fall prey to it. Another thing is the new blue tick rule on X (formerly twitter) before it was actually given to not just anybody but now just a subscription will grant you that. This has made scammers to create celebrities catfish account and use it to scam the followers through this giveaway of a thing.

One thing remains on this space do not trust anyone, there is no free money outside.

The content would have always been the same about them if you're good at spotting them but the trouble is there for the newbies whom they're always targeting. I think Coinbase should use all of its channels to keep users and nonusers reminded about these scam tactics that have been spreading at all seasons. The article also mentioned the YouTube giveaways that are playing some background like Elon speaking at a conference as well as such giveaways where the instruction is about depositing a certain amount. Those channels that have been hacked with hundreds of thousands of followers to millions make it also look legit, and it can easily get targets and victims.

I found a very real looking tweet of Elon Musk promising a party to users and a link under the tweet. Such tweet, when not looked into, one may think Elon tweeted it.
When I joined this industry newly I used to wonder why whales wouldn't send coins to random wallets or do giveaway until I realized that's not how those in this industry behalf. Even when I read tweets supposedly from Vitalik Buterin, the Ethereum creator, I still won't blink an eye. I've got to that point now where I don't believe random strangers can make anyone rich online.

The sad truth is that only greedy people will be enticed to participate and expect a giveaway mirage to be true. If anyone gets scammed participating in any giveaway, I don't waste my time consoling them. They brought it on themselves.

The most praised AI is now used as a means of getting idea to scamming people. This is very unfortunate and the invention of this have just been hit by another big disadvantage of using it as it promotes and enhance scam. They better have a way to control this because it won’t mean we’ll fit them for the intention they created it for.

I never liked AI since it was already prohibited in the forum, if you don’t depend on AI, it will only make you think more vastly and put your ideas into good use and improve your English here if it’s not your first language.

New scams keeps coming everyday, and it is a bad sign for the modern technology we are embracing already. With time, they should be more solutions to most of this and it will help make the internet more cleaner for better use.

If not greed/naivety why would someone expect something like 4000BTC, Elon Musk is a business man so why would someone just think he will just wake up and just do something like this when he is not getting anything from you. The only way he may give freely is through philanthropy  and making a single individual rich is not philanthropy.

People can be just foolish at times and is hard for them to break out of their fantasy (if only they can just wake up to reality). AI scam will continue and its can't be stop because just like how others are using the Internet for good others are using it for evil. All that glitters ain't gold especially on the Internet.
