if you can stomach the fluctuations and even profit off it, it is great. I think this happens in all assets and commodities. When the new iphone comes out and has hype, everyone wants it and will pay a premium. It's the same here. I think in the long run those who hold will win and those that buy now and flip will also win. Those that buy high and sit will lose.

We are experiencing a unique period in the history of cryptocurrencies -- lots of new money coming in. And that's what is bothering me. Nothing to compare it with. So, maybe there will be no major correction at all? At least in the coming weeks.

What do you think?
This comming week would be the biggest. Grab until the bitcoin still low today because befor new year, bitcoin will pump again. Also grab some alt coins because today, they are rising from the drop cause by the surge of bitcoin lately.

Right. If you're holding btc now, i suggest you stay away from anything that can make you jittery since btc is pretty unstable. But this has happened a lot of times before so people can take comfort in the FACT that btc will bounce back once the whales see it fit to buy again

Global correction is not compulsory to have but all are expecting this because of the strong rally which I think is still not ended and I think there are few more all-time high's expecting to come soon. There are two types of correction one is price wise correction and other one is time-wise correction. Right now the time wise consolidation is going on and the price is not expected to go down in the bigger margin, but yes you can see some big-time taken to stay over there at those 14000 to 17000 price levels.

The major correction will be happen at the end of this year i think.
Correction is normal happen to cryptocurrency in the market,  there is no currency which will go up and always go up. Just the matter with time.

Correction will not be until the coming January you may find some bump also in upcoming days bitcoin as well as ethereum.
Why January? Is that because Christmas is the money time and after it people calm down? I guess people should sell their coins before Christmas, so that they can buy some presents for fiat. Yet these sums of money are perhaps insignificant and can't invoke the dump alone. What we might need is bad news like if it was decided to let eth worth $100mil burn or something.
I just heard a news 9 hours ago about the global correction but looks there is a little bit change of the price but more people are still filling and buying more bitcoins .. So i think even the global correct won't help to see the real price because if we seen a large drop people are still buying more bitcoin.. that i think we will see the price will hit back to $19k soon..
Correction is a natural process and I think that it is something needed for a currency not to collapse eventually. The fact that no correction is seen to come right now means that we are in a risky situation. I hope it will eventually come and make all the currencies go down for some time, put them in the price ranges where they actually belong.

Correction will not be until the coming January you may find some bump also in upcoming days bitcoin as well as ethereum. If you find the bitcoin investors ask them to invest as much as possible you will find the profit in some days due to Christmas bump.
So instead on expecting correction go to invest on cryptos you will be profitable.

The correction happening is possible but only when the total amount coming is leaving because if its still in, there wont be any correction as demand would have been matched with supply. But that does not stop anyone from being weary about what the future holds and that is why to thread with caution and not to only be concerned about the profit element without concerned about the risk attached.

Corrections will always happen namely on key resistance levels since traders will be cashing out on such target prices. Since Bitcoin doesn't have one historically, you can sense when the buying pressure is having trouble moving prices up for a given time.

Nothing has changed so far, and the exponential growth has slowed down a bit. We already had a small correction before the CBOE futures launch, and then the price recovered until the launch of the CME futures. I think we are consolidating now, but I don't see a major correction coming soon. In fact I think the price will probably see new all time highs in the future, as it is still in a bulish trend. Next target should be around $24k. There is still a lot of pressure in buying bitcoin, so it will be hard for traders to sell it or short it in my opinion. And even if it happens, there are a lot of people waiting to buy the dip, so it wont stay there for long.
I would not say it is still in a bullish trend yet. From what I can see, it seems the market has been over bought and it could drop much lower than what we have presently now but won't be something huge, so I would not mind considering using some stop orders for those who really are trading anyway. Some few hours back till now, I actually expected the buy orders to have been activated, but it seems the bears are winning the fights. It is an unpredictable market, so it is best to always expect some little bit of changes once in a while.
If we manage to break below $18000 now, then we may see a further downtrend to the next support level at around $17200 which would be a good time to buy back anyway. (This is not for holders please, this is just some trader's perspective)
