Yes the GMO is an acronym for Genetically Modified Organism. They are organisms where their generic materials has been altered using different generic chemicals or biological techniques to introduce new traits. These pathfinders came with the intention of recreating new traits that will stand as a resistance to pests or herbicides while deep down their intention is to increase maximum supply of crops to meet exportation demands. In general is to make profits which these new traits of crops on the other hand have several effects to the health of humans and his environment. Those who consumes this crops later in the future gets sorts of illness which they do not know the origin of it. Most of these crops are manufactured in the laboratory and transported to individual homes. Common crops like corn, soybean, cotton, canola, yam, potato and so many are GMO crops. Common animals like Pig, sheep and so many others are also altered in the labs.

This is very alarming because both vegans and non-vegans are at high health risk. The meat grown lacks the necessaries flavors and nutrients especially the crops. The milk produced from these animals lacks a lot of vitamins it also lacks fat to bring out the flavor. All of these have been altered in the lab.

Be careful of what you eat, Health is wealth. The debate still goes on if GMO crops/animals are good.

3. Against Genetic Engineering

1. GMOs are not about chemistry. GMO is about genetic modification of the initial product to improve its consumer characteristics or to reduce the cost of obtaining it.
It can be, for example, modification of grain crops for better resistance to pests or negative factors. Also such modifications allow better and longer storage of products without loss of quality.
It can also be modification to increase consumer characteristics - for example, to give a richer flavor, increased sweetness, or energy value.
2. We have been living in a world of genetically modified foods for YEARS. in the past this was called “hybrids” and we know a lot of hybrids of fruits, vegetables and even animal breeds.
3. do not forget the key rule of nature - “genetic exchange” is possible only at the horizontal level, within one species. It means that if you, for example, ate a fish with added genes of a snail - you will not become a snail Smiley For this reason you will not become a cow by eating beef steak, or you will not become a fish by eating raw tuna sushi....

at present, there is little amount of 100% natural foods and animals in the world, most crops and animals have all been enhanced and the use of supplements and chemicals that aids it rapid growth and development have resulted in in plants and animals growing two times it normal expected growth period and certainly, there is going to be health implication of consuming more of those kind of food.
definitely, it's not that we don't care about our heatlh, finding a good food is hard, finding good food with cheap price is even harder, everything is GMO food these days there's just no escape and if we're willing to take a longer step to find one, it's gonna be priced really high, moreover, it's still grey and unclear whether GMO food are truly harmful some side say it's the same as non-GMO counterpart in term of nutrition and side effect, the other side it's really bad it could cause disease.

honestly at this point, spare me of the confusion and let me get the food.

My dad's friend raises rabbits, so I know just about those ones nad can't talk about globally and about all animals. And even though he raises one of the most healthiest and most organic ones around because he built a whole place for them and let them roam free, it is still important for most of them to take certain shots and medicine to keep surviving.

I believe it is not just about eating true organic real animals, but it is also about the fact that if you want to go back and do the old way to make sure you raise the healthiest and best ones, you would have to sell like 5x the price of what they are sold. One rabbit costing about 7 dollars, would have to be near 40 dollars to be profitable that way.

This way you keep more of them alive and healthy, and then you can sell for cheaper. Now you may say, lets try and offer people this option too, which some people tried, 7 dollars with these "bad" harmful ones, and 40 for the healthy ones, I have seen with my own eyes that 40 dollar ones weren't sold, only a few, so why would farmers do that? Makes no sense financially.

The truth is, these days, hard to determine if what you are eating is already GMO-produced or not or with some of GMOs inside your food packs. Maybe, if we can't eradicate such chance, you can do cleansing of your system by eating local fruits or vegetables.
Exactly. We can hardly tell which food stemmed out of the lab or not. GMO foods are everywhere. Two months ago, my sister tried to send some local foodstuff to a family in the diaspora, and the shipment was seized on the way to her client. They now have a standard of how food must be grown. The size, the look, and other ways they use to test these foods out. 4 tubers of yam were seized because they said insects infected it and so on, they say. Yet, most GMO foods are being shipped down to these countries and nothing is being done. Which do you think is more harmful, the chemicalized or should I say enhanced genetic food made in the lab? or food grown from natural soil?

I also heard that some GMO foods are grown from tampered soil. Soils are poured into chemicals to improve the genetics nature of it so that crops that should be grown in 6 months will be grown in 2 to 3 months. God save us all.

A lot of foods in the West are grown using GMOs. But most other parts of the world still farm their crops naturally. This is a good thing since it is less likely that those people will experience weird health problems that may potentially be introduced by those GMOs. (I'm not a biochemist, so what do I know - but I, like all other people, do eat, so I might as well weigh my opinion on this here.)

Not really an expert in agriculture, but having followed the debate about GMO for some time now, I think it is a big debate. Though some believe that GMOs could present health risks, with the heightened use of herbicides on the genetically engineered crops leaving residues on foods, there are many large health organizations that believe GMO foods are as safe as their non GMO counterparts, like the American Medical Association.

And I think nowadays it's quite hard to find vegetables or fruit that's purely not genetically modified. There is also the advantage of GMOs in ensuring food security due to increased crop yields. However, quite fairly, their health and environmental impacts have raised several questions. At the end of the day, informed choices about food that answers to your values and priorities regarding health will be a personal decision. Both sides show valid arguments, and the debate probably will continue for some time.

We are already in the stage where you can't control and contain what you are eating or what will end up on your table. But you can minimize the exposure by patronizing local food supplies and have other food intake that you think will remove some of your toxins in the body.

These days seasonal crops can be available all year round because of GMOs. The cost of producing crops has also been reduced drastically because of these scientific crops. With limited space, farmers can produce more products. Many farmers in my country don't care about the effect of these crops since they are making a profit from these plants

But the debate about the harm these GMO crops cause to the body will never end. These plants are produced by powerful agribusinesses that can control the press, thereby making it difficult to discover the truth about these modified crops. There are also concerns that these plants change the texture of the soil, making it difficult for natural plants to grow on them.

I try as much as possible to avoid consuming these products, but it is becoming difficult every day because the market is saturated with these products. And natural agro products are becoming expensive. If I have the means, I will set up a small farm where natural crops and plants will be nurtured for my consumption.

the need to get more profit has resulted in the use of some harmful poultry feeds that causes fast growth of fouls and even fishes in poultry and fishponds and these certainly has its own health effect.

for humans, it is what is on the trend as people are trying to modify almost all the part of their bodies which might have implication on the kind of offspring we see in the future who might have distorted growth due to the effect of the chemicals and procedures that are used in carrying out that sort of modification. at the end, things might look really bad for the future far more than what we are currently facing at the moment and overall, life expectancy will continue to reduce generation by generation.
