So I am still fresh to this forum and BTC but what is the benefit of a big box store to accept bitcoin as of today?

IF you want this to go anywhere (just my 2 cents) I would list what benefits / cons there might be and try to tackle each con from that point on.

As of now, I would say a few of the biggest cons would be:

1: To my knowledge, no way for (Store name here) to exchange BTC For traditional currency (USD/EU/etc) in an easy and fast manner - i.e. Newegg will not keep its money in BTC as what can Newegg do with BTC as of right now?

2: Stability in BTC. I keep seeing BTC going up/down several dollars within one day, if not bigger swings. how could they be confident that they will not lose money within just one day of holding that BTC for your $1000 order?

3: Fincen regulations - IF these are still fresh are there any exchanges that have followed by these rules? As some have suggested, no exchange was really built with Security / other best practices in mind to ensure problems with them would not cause a downward spiral of BTC as its happened several times before.

As stated earlier, I am still new to BTC so I hope these  3 are accurate. If not I would appreciate being corrected.

IF you can provide such data sheets and what not to the right people at these stores, you may get them interested. but since so many people still do not know what BTC / virtual currency is I think this is definitely needed to get them to understand the potential benefits of doing so.

Got a reply from newegg. I'm sure if enough people email them, they will jump on board.

Hello removed,

We are aware of this payment method, bu8t at this time we do not plan to use this method. We are considering it for the future and will make sure we post a notice online if it becomes available. We truly appreciate your suggestions.
