Finally got back on site and wanted to clarify the confusing part.

Besides Deposit and Send you have the options to "Buy or Sell"

If you click buy it is the most straight forward part of the site, you can buy packages of Crypto, I assume.

It is the "Sell" link that is the most confusing.

To me, that should mean you are selling your Crypto for FIAT.

The form has four radio buttons for the three wallets and the USD.

Under that is the price of BTC.

Under that are two fields, one marked USD and one marked BTC.  Changing the Crypto changed the second field.

My balances are shown on the same page and the important line reads this..

Code:
Bitcoin 0.0016 $1.19

No matter what numbers you put in the fields you get the message of "Your order exceeds your available balance"

This may be because there is just over $1 and the fee is $1, but that is not the point.

You put 0.0016 in the second field and the first field does not change.  The second field changes if the first field updates, but none of it matches anything that makes sense.  Now, I put $1 in the first field and hit "Proceed to Checkout", that is with the USD radio button checked.  The next screen wants you to choose your bank to pay with.  To me that means I am suddenly buying Bitcoins!  So, I go back and switch the radio button to BTC and keep the $1 in the first field.  Hit "Proceed....." and right back to picking a bank account.  This is beyond confusing because if I am selling something, why do I need to provide payment info.

Now,  no matter what you do, that second screen is always "Choose your bank"

The last screen states this...

Code:
Price $722.57
Quantity 0.13701028
Dollars $100
Our Fee $1
Total $99

That was based on me requesting to SELL $1 in BTC(I think)......you can change the first numbers by fiddling with the first form, but the result is always $99!  Plus, look at it.  $100 plus a $1 fee=======$99!

Now, the bottom of the page, not hidden shows this...

Code:

This price is guaranteed for the next .

I authorize BTX Trader LLC or it's affiliates: Mega Labs LLC, Celery Labs Inc, Celery Labs Ltd to debit my digital currency account at Celery and initiate a single credit to my bank account on record in the amount of $99

Above that it shows that I have chosen my bank as a payment method for me to SELL something.

For the life of me this is so utterly screwed up that I cannot even use the word Scam, how about monkeys doing the coding.  I guess I am just stupid....lol.

I recently, with 24 hours ran into this site and wanted to provide some thoughts and see what others have run into.

It is called Celery and the banner ad that made me look into it called it an exchange.

I have nothing against the site, but it is very hard to use and has a few issues, also, I am still not sure if it is legit.

1. First things first

The banner that caught my eye promised a $10 sign up bonus and that never happened.  I may have caused this because when I copied and pasted the link the affiliate ID was missing a digit so I just deleted back to the base URL and that bonus may have been based on going through an affiliate.  No biggie.

2. Verification

There was a couple page verification that involved no uploading of ID's or anything.  You simply provide the info and it sets a higher amount for both deposits and withdrawals.  Pretty simple.

3. Three wallets

There are wallets for BTC, LTC and Doge.  The thing is that there seemed to be no way to exchange one for the other.  I deposited a small amount of both Doge and BTC and to exchange those to FIAT seems like it would be two transactions.

4. API Integration

When you add a bank account, they have used an API that allows you to log in from gocelery and then pulls the account info.  The only other site that I have seen do this is Paypal and it is either a very good sign or a bad one.  I used a Bank of America account that has a low balance and no one stole my $12, lol. I suppose that this could be a scripted recording of the login details, but that would either be using cUrl or an invisible iFrame and I would think that BofA has enough sense to watch out for that.

5. Confusing

This is where it gets confusing.  You have your three wallets and your bank account in their.  The options are broken into unmarked categories and one set says "Send" and "Deposit".  I am not looking at the site at this moment, but none of the options scream BTC to FIAT or anything like that.  Finally, it may have been under "Send" I found a form that seemed to be the exchange form, but the numbers are all jacked up.  There is a bar that is marked with BTC, USD and other currencies, there is your total BTC and USD in the sidebar and the form.

The form, quite simply is impossible to use and always wrong.  I have my bank account and I have 0.006 BTC in the wallet.  When I played with this, that was around 42 cents, lol.  Firstly, you cannot tell whether you are doing BTC to USD or vice versa.  You try putting it the amount in USD and are told there is not that much there.  The same is true for BTC.  You back the amount down just a bit, thinking about fees and the effect is the same.  Then, you kinda say "F it" and hit the Submit button.  Then, despite the fact that the previous page warned about the amount being too high, you are brought the next page which asks you to choose your bank account.  Up to this point it was unclear whether you were just withdrawing BTC or sending to a bank account.  Then, it shows your amount, plus a $1 fee and totals that to $99.  I went back and tried different amount three times and those numbers are reflected in the next form, but the total is always $99.  Now, you really think that all this is leading to sending your account total of BTC to your bank account and you hit the button again, only to be told that you are taking $99 from the bank and turning it into BTC.  BUT, there is another button on the home page that allows you to buy BTC for $20......

It is so confusing, I don't know whether to call it a scam or chalk it up to a language barrier thing.  It seems to me that you can deposit money into the account in 15 different ways and never really get it back out.  At the same time, they may be grabbing your bank details, who knows.

Anyone else ever touch this site?  Site owners around?
