I know a guy who believes that the USA is "God's chosen country". Since I've no ability to post elsewhere on this site, I thought I'd open up a related conversation here.

What is God's chosen currency? I can see logical arguments for tangible systems like USD or gold, but also perhaps we could suggest something intangible instead - compassion, for example.

What is the purpose of currency? And how does the bible (or any holy book) suggest humanity best implement it?
