Well in my country there's still a lot of people that are aware and really good at crypto industry and blockchain technology so it wouldn't be a surprised to have such any events about Bitcoin. Though of course some people are not aware from it since the event are it's either posted from a crypto group that some people could be interested to it. My friends actually attended one, they find a lot of freebies that would caught you to have interest about Bitcoin and crypto. Some would give you prizes thru crypto such as Bitcoin, ETH and etc. They've actually won a free NFT by jsut participating in a game and they are so proud. Of course if you don't have any idea about it, it wouldn't caught your attention.

Actually there's a gaming event or cosplay event here in the PH, and you can still see some merchandise with a Bitcoin's logo giving free giveaways. There's also a game that would ask you a little quiz like you can see in the internet where vloggers would ask people like "what's the gravity of the earth and you could win $100" something like that as long as it's related to Bitcoin. I don't know I just find it amazing that despite any event you could see some people introducing bitcoin for other people to acknowledge them.

Yes, I attended one BTC event some years ago that made me to have knowledge of BTC because what they where teaching us was very correct and many people was very happy for what the organizers did to people that attended the event by giving everybody refreshment. And since that event, there was a massive financial change in the life of the youths in the society that touch the mind of the King to give the organizers free land to establish any kind of business and they were also given some native food stuff.  Going to BTC or crypto event is not bad but you need to observe very well to know if truly those facilitators know BTC or crypto very well before you will show interest, because some are looking for way to collect money from people.

I attended seminar before talking about bitcoin or cryptocurrency, it's just online and they are promoting cryptocurrency to the students, it was really helpful and knowledgeable and they've done this for free.
I think those kind of events you are talking about are mostly for promoting their altcoins, it also happens online and there are so many people doing it for their altcoin, it would not be so useful as they just only promoting altcoins.

Seminars are good ways to gain new insights and perspectives about Bitcoin and the system as a whole. Sometimes we think we already know everything then by attending a seminar we discover that there are alternative ways and information that can be useful for us in trading and bitcoin use. However, for events such as you mentioned I think there's nothing wrong attending them but yes they are not so beneficial. Good job on attending a seminar before diving into Bitcoin though, it is a lot better than blindly getting into something.

I don't think it's a great deal to attend to such events. From what I've seen, such events are mainly focused on promoting altcoins and crypto services, including scammy platforms which have already scammed customers in the past. So sometimes it's better to not have contact with these events because they may give a false legitimacy impression to potential investors who will inevitably fall for a scam in the end.
It is true that attending all kinds of big events is not a great strength but many of us attend such Bitcoin events. I think altcoin events mostly turn out to be scams which we see almost too often. But such platforms make a lot of promises and invite customers to invest and later cheat when they join the event. Altcoin events are mostly scams these events mostly make false promises to get people interested in joining them. So it is better not to join these AlertCoin events as they are often scammers. In that case, if you want to attend a good event, then there are Bitcoin events, they are good and they are not likely to be scams.

honestly I have not been opportune to attend any  crypto event but I believe that it can be helpful to depending on what courses that are being taught in any of the even and it also depends on the level of knowledge one have already had before they attend any crypto event. It's possible that I can attend to any crypto even and on getting their they are only teaching people about Bitcoin and Blockchain transactions, mean while I have already had a good knowledge about Bitcoin and transaction. That event can really be of good help to many attendees who do not yet have the idea but not me.

If you've gone past caring about the stupendous price of entrance tickets, you'd find blockchain and crypto events and conventions actually enjoyable. There's people out there that's showcasing their newest stuff, events and games for people to enjoy with prizes involved, some of them even promote adoption by only ever allowing crypto payments inside and nothing else. Personalities from all across the globe that's been pivotal in pushing for bitcoin/cryptocurrency's name is also oftentimes included and I guess that's one of the reasons why these events are so pricey considering not a lot of people attend these events anyway, but all in all it's an alright experience past the entrance ticket fee and all that. It's not so much as a treasure trove of information like how people in here paint it out to be cause you can only learn and know so much from events like this but it's fun nonetheless.

Going to Bitcoin events certainly adds a lot of expertise to your knowledge and you will be able to see things you didn't know about in your digital life and meet new friends who could help you clarify any doubts you had.  Bitcoin events are very educational.
I doubt it actually adds anything to your knowledge beyond what you already know. These are not scientific conferences where new tech or new discoveries are talked about rather most of them are advertisements of newly launched vaporware which seem to good to be true (
Most just go there for the free lunch and some free coins or carrybags or just to stalk some chicks. Grin
Indeed, many crypto conferences do appear to be little more than elaborate opportunities to promote upcoming enterprises. But I think you're taking too limited a view of them. They are more than just pretty faces; they are hubs for networking. Isn't it beneficial to find others who share your interests, learn from them, and challenge your thinking? It's not just about brand new technologies being unveiled, but about improving and disseminating existing ones as well

It's true that enticing freebies might be hard to resist. Who doesn't enjoy a tasty sandwich? However, keep in mind that the experience itself holds the most worth. These events give us insight into the team behind a project, their values, and their level of dedication, which is invaluable in the opaque world of cryptocurrency. In addition, this ordeal provides us Bitcoin supporters with even another rationale to band together and strengthen our convictions

I've never gone for/to particularly, Bitcoin event because there have never been any that was or has been done in my area or near where I live, But I've once attended a crypto currency event which was organized by some group of guys promoting an altcoin that was new in the market at the time.
If I must be honest, I will say that I learnt absolutely nothing that I don't know already, that is that everything taught there was nothing new to me, in-fact, I had to always help them when ever they made a mistake, but one thing i did benefit from that event was the fact that I got to meet new and great people, and also being somebody who loves travelling, that was a great opportunity for me to travel to a new place, be in a new environment even those it was for just a few hours, i had a great time overall.

So for me, attending Bitcoin or Blockchain events isnt all about learning something new, or something you cant learn on the internet, its also about meeting new people, and also being in a new environment, you have the opportunity to see and feel some things that are not common in your own environment.

Going to bitcoin event is one of the best thing I will like to do if there is any one to attend. But in my locality, it will be very difficult to see such events. The benefits that attached to bitcoin events are numerous. You will learn a lot of new things so if you are going to such events, make sure you have to carry writing materials and also prepare to video some parts for future reference. I know , I will attend such events one day.

Going to bitcoin, crypto, blockchain events benefits us in anyway ?

Just like eating an apple instead of a burger or walking at a faster pace instead of a lower pace, there is a minimum gain. If you go to an event you might get a lot out of it, or you might get very little out of it. One thing is for sure, is that you definitely could not leave with less than when you walked in. Just being there is supporting Bitcoin and that is a positive that you'd get from it.

I am something biased at this because of internet sayings, biased in positive side that they are very benefiting and worth my time, share your experiences about going to events is good or bad ,

Unless something irrelevant to the event happened (you tripped over, got hit by a car, ate some bad fish, personal social issues etc.) then what would be an example of a bad outcome from a Bitcoin event?

are you gone to any bitcoin events ? and, in which way it helped you, do you learned new things that is very difficult to learn on internet, do you met amazing people, do going to that events worth your time and money.

From my experience, attending an event always provided meeting new like-minded people or a new fact that I didn't know before. I am sure that would generally be the same minimum positive experience that anyone else who has attended a Bitcoin event.

I have always thought of attending a Bitcoin event by chance any day.
Although, in my region, BTC has not yet grown its user base to become capable of hosting any of such an event, if I have the chance to get invited overseas or travel and then learn of such an event happening nearby, I would be glad to attend.

One notable BTC event that just happened is the 'Pizza event. I read about it first here  but couldn't participate because I only learnt about it that day. I also got notified by my exchange about the event. Am sure it would have been a lot of fun, if I had attended, alone or with any friends or participated with games or bounties on this forum.

In a way it does, say you are an investor and you have told yourself you will only invest if you get up close with some of these crypto enthusiasts to get a better understanding of how cryptocurrencies work and such events are eye opening and also connect you to other cryptonians...

And btw these events to make sense out of them depends on if you do something crypto related to benefit from the.!

To be honest never been to any of them by I have seen these events online but from what have observed,  the main benefits usually goes to the devs as they share one or two things to future projects running and also have a good social networking experience especially that there is a belief these guys are always sitting behind a computer.

Today there are few events are achieved in my region but in the years 2017-2018 they abounded to the same extent "experts" abounded, I think that is what is relevant who the speakers are, etc. But today many interesting events are achieved via online. That in the long term the objective is the same, but if you are in the field of ventures, businesses, web pages, or you are an influencer, this type of event should always be attended, for now the only one I would like to go to one day is Miami.

This topic has come up several times before and I will share what I have shared on these similar topics... Yes, these types of events can absolutely be beneficial if you utilize them correctly.  What do I mean by this? Go to good event..go to events with reputable speakers (not Craig Wright or Roger Ver type nonsnese).  Listen to what the speakers have to say.  Ask questions.

Lastly, you'll more than likely make a friend or two, and for a lot of people that makes it worth while in and of it's self.  I've had a lot of friends go to these event's and have a lot of fun.

I have attended one but it was virtual where they talk about wallet security and privacy, it is very difficult to see pure Bitcoin fancy gatherings and events but I have had an encounter with some couples of some guys and we share a lot about Bitcoin addresses and some improvements they made about how taproot saves a lot of fees but they were more exposed to centralized exchanges from their preference of discussion, they were discussing some minor sats exchange gives to traders who do trading competitions.

However, there is something I picked about Bitcoin events, they don't quite happen the way altcoins do make events every time probably because those coins have sponsors and they are spending money from the foundation but Bitcoin doesn't do this because there are no funds for this but I pray that one day I see one Bitcoin event,

Since bitcoin has some privacy issues in its ownership and owners are often targeted, if you ever visit such a conference don't reveal your forum names or anything that can link you back here.

Otherwise if you are in for some free lunch then good for you. Most of the projects that will be talked about there will turn crap in a year or two. Rarely discussion on Bitcoin occur, which can be helpful.

Don't bother going to a different country just to attend them. Rather visit them if happening in your city.
I think I will take this advice of yours to keep but I doubt I would even attain such event like such in my local area since bitcoin is pretty still seen as a bad news for the government of my nation and with what I have seen so far not much people even in my country even wants to reveal their identity in small gathering that's its not even up to the standard of what you are trying to explain. Since everyone is trying to stay off the radar and keep clean from violating any government imposed rule.

Thank you very much for providing such information.  There are also many who try to mislead people with wrong information.  There's still a lot I don't know about Bitcoin.  The discussion on Bitcoin is very important to me.  As far as I know all projects have their own secrets.  How is it possible to assert so strongly that all the projects discussed will later become ill-known?
Although I have been in crypto since 2014, it is also not always possible to track such up-to-date information. Thanks to the author of the post. Bitcoin is my first coin, as is DOGE and Litecoin.

I haven't gone to any Bitcoin event but that's because I haven't gotten the opportunity to attend one, all the ones I see online are always far from my country. I have attended online events and they were beneficial which means the physical events will be more beneficial.

This events helps us to meet people with similar belief that one day Bitcoin will be acceptable globally and become world currency. It also gives is more hope of holding as you know others are doing the same. You can exchange contact from this events to build friendship.

You can also meet investors that'll invest in your idea that has something to do with Bitcoin blockchain like decentralized wallets etc or get to know about what others are interested in. Social gathering are always beneficial to all those that attend, you get to know things to avoid.
Its a bummer if you cant make it to a Bitcoin event in person. Keep in mind, though, that there is a bright side to online events: you can attend them without leaving your couch and without spending a ton of money on transportation or lodging. In the same way that cheering for your favorite team in a busy pub is more fun than doing it alone at home, I agree that these events can strengthen our optimism in Bitcoin's future. Be wary of always seeing things through rose-colored glasses, though. Your best interests may not be considered by everyone at these events. There are many who will try to take advantage of your good spirit. Maintain vigilance and alertness at all times. Rather than relying on a PowerPoint presentation, a cautionary tale told over coffee may provide the finest investment advice.

If there's one near to my place, I'd love to connect with those people that has the same interest as mine. But I am no longer the same as before that I'll go anywhere as long as I know how to go there and if I've got a free time to participate.

Most of these events have come back because most of them became passive when the pandemic has came.

It's more interesting if most of these events will be in the form of webinar.

The main reason that I am going into these Bitcoin and crypto related events is to network with a lot of people.

I've started attending so many local and international events last 2018 to 2019 and have made a lot of connections and friends in the crypto and blockchain space.

However, that stopped during the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. As the restrictions began to ease, offline events are back again starting last year.

Thanks to these events, I have networked with so many people sharing ideas and projects that we have for future synergies, collaborations, etc. In fact, there are projects who did collaborated with me after our in-person meetup in these conferences and summits.

If you are representing a Bitcoin or crypto-related project, then it is beneficial for you to find projects that are having potential to collaborate with your own project.

As far as I know all projects have their own secrets.  How is it possible to assert so strongly that all the projects discussed will later become ill-known?
Thats what experience has taught me, the older users of this forum have all invested somewhere sometime in some altcoins and they have only lead to a deprecation of the asset in the long term instead of going up, unlike what an investor would expect. They did spend time to hold and be patient about it but the project either shut itself off or ghosted its investors. In any crypto related event you can find these altcoins showing off their new product and their token or coin, but be assured that it would never be the next bitcoin.

It's just an event and if you don't dare to go, it makes no sense to expect bitcoin to become ubiquitous and become a means of payment globally. Because then you will be using bitcoin all the time and everyone knows your identity. Privacy is lost as bitcoin becomes ubiquitous and is used every day.
An event does not change the public adoption, most people go there to have the free lunch or meet with some potential investors to get money. How you use bitcoin and protect your identity is your own choice and it can be done if you are clever enough.

If there will be holding events like that in my place, I will gladly attend and will listen very well to what they are saying in the seminars and participate in their events to support Bitcoin. They always attend every event held in this city and sometimes the attendees reach hundreds of participants they are also active in any activities that the events will give as long as there will be no involvement of payment because most of them are poor and can't just pay any fees.

Going to bitcoin, crypto, blockchain events benefits us in anyway ?

Attending Bitcoin, crypto, and blockchain events can certainly be beneficial for those interested in these topics. These events provide a great opportunity to network with other like-minded individuals, learn about new technologies and trends, and gain insights from industry experts.

My personal experience attending Bitcoin events has been positive, and I have found them to be informative, inspiring, and well worth my time and money.

The success or failure of any project will depend on a range of factors, including market conditions, competition, regulatory developments, and more.

To assess the potential success or failure of specific projects in the cryptocurrency space, it's important to take a critical approach and evaluate each project on its own merits. While some projects may have promising technology or a strong team behind them, others may lack a clear use case or have other red flags that make them less likely to succeed.

As an investor or participant in the cryptocurrency ecosystem i think it's important to stay informed, remain cautious, and evaluate each project on its own merits

Actually those events helps but sometimes mislead some people from their attitudes or the way they explain bitcoin, the best way of understanding bitcoin is to learn manually and with some help of online tutorials and practice by using bitcoin and store for some periods of time, so it's what I believe in cryptocurrency. Event program of bitcoin, I have participated in different varieties but what I found out from them is that they always want to benefit from people who attend their program by telling them of investment and also instruct them to partner with them for investment. Its good to attend but let us not be deserved by them. You can acquire the knowledge of bitcoin through many ways.

If there is really something useful in them not just a normal discussion room if you already know about it.The benefits can be in form of meeting like minded people with whom you can interact more and gain knowledge with more exposure or if some new projects or technology is being introduced you come to know about it.It can benefit you but some say it end up privacy but you don't need to tell anyone that you have invested in it as one could simply be interested in it without any investment backup. So attending them is no harm according to me.

Before going to an events that relates to bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large there are things you need to be considered at first, meaning you have to ask yourself these question that what are your objectives and main purpose of going there, what do you think would come out of it if you eventually steps in there to spend your time, what kind of guest speakers do we have there.

To me i always put those things into consideration before going out there to join the event, maybe after i do my findings and i noticed they aren't the people i expected to be there then i will just have to spare my time to have a little visit after which i take my leave. But know one thing for sure that whatever event you attend you must definitely learned something new and something different from there.

Bitcoin events can help you socialize with other like-minded people, this events must be strictly Bitcoin events because if you say cryptocurency that means there will likely be scams in those event disguise as real businesses looking for investors or publicity. I don't go to cryptocurency events, but if there's any Bitcoin event in my area I'll attend.
Satoshi wanted us to socialize and that's why he created this forum so he isn't against socializing. You just have to be secured yourself at those events and there's no need to share information you wont be comfortable with others having like you investment portfolio size, personal address, emails or phone number. You can just go to socialize and learn more.
We're humans and socializing has it advantage, made you'll get to have other information first hand at these events and get to meet other opportunities that you could invest in outside Bitcoin.

I gotta say, I can't roll with the idea that hitting up bitcoin, crypto, and blockchain gigs is pointless. On the contrary, these events can be your ticket to bossing up in the game.

Check it: you'll discover next-gen tech, fads, and game-changers that aren't all over the internet yet. Learn from industry wizards dropping knowledge bombs you won't find just anywhere.

Also, you'll get to rub elbows with fellow industry rockstars, make connections, and score sweet collabs that'll fast-track your success.

And don't sleep on the hype and fire you'll catch from conferences, workshops, and seminars. They'll keep you current on the industry buzz and laser-focused on smashing your targets.

going to bitcoin events and meeting investors bitcoin investors, I think that there are pros and cons.

if I personally have never attended a meeting with bitcoin investors because in my area it can still be said that there are very few people who know bitcoin.

and I personally prefer not to be open about investing in bitcoin.
Bitcoin is generating and dominating the world economy with absolute stock and volatility of the market. Failing to create awareness about bitcoin will definitely rule out negativity in the minds of the citizens because they might get the knowledge of bitcoin in another complicated dimensions, either through losing money to fraudsters or getting zero profits on the project. Anticipating in Bitcoin events is probably not a bad idea, but with potential purpose of helping the economy and the citizens should be the ultimate priority of the moderators behind the events.

I once participated in a bitcoin event but the fact was far from my expectations because the event was not talking about bitcoin or news about crypto. The event discussed an investment program in the name of bitcoin to invite many people to come. I was really disappointed to see it all because they joined because there was a "bitcoin" word in that event but in the end, they were told to join an investment program that was not clear.

I will never want to attend events like that again because most of these events don't discuss bitcoin in detail but offer investment programs that can mislead the public. Studying on the internet is better because it is a place to find the knowledge you want.

There are really like bitcoin conventions that happened months ago in New York. For sure, if you attended those pyramid schemes or HYIPs telling you to attend seminars about them, they will be giving out free snacks. Most of these seminars will claim that you will make a lot of money, which is a red flag that you should avoid. Though I still haven't joined a bitcoin event, I would participate in it and just want to hear some thoughts from others.

It's probably a great idea to visits or join this kind if events, since you could learn a lot about crypto currency and mostly about different platforms or feature that they are going to launch in the community. But I guess find the legitimate one not just someone's event that is mostly schemes on scamming investors.

I would still prefer to learn bitcoin on my own, I didn't really attend any of this events but I still able to learn bitcoin, invest on it and earn a lot of profit in my years of trading. There are still a lot of technical parts of bitcoin technology that you might want to learn like for example you want to launch a project something like a coin, nft, etc.

I guess just the experience of meeting a lot different people is already enough reason to join events if you like to socialize that could easily lead to a lot of connections in the space where you could get interest on different projects.

Have been to cryptocurrency meet ups and events in the past, the best aspect is to meet like minded people and if you have business aspiration then you will likely meet people who are willing to collaborate with you and that was the experience i had in the past. Not been to any meet ups after the lockdown. It all depends on the event you are participating as well and who is conducting them.

Going to Bitcoin events was beneficial to me, aside the fact that I got to meet and connect with likeminds and it was amazing, I also got to gain alot of value am sure I may not have gained in the nearest future, experiences, strategies, ideas where all shaared at the event and the was room for an open discussion where you could air out difficulties you where facing and anyone who knew how you could surpass that was given room to speak..

It's always an opportunity to gather among investors and traders of Bitcoin.

Not just going to bitcoin events alone but actively participating in them can be super enriching and give you a career boost.
Last year, I volunteered in one of the local bitcoin events organized by a bitcoin enthusiast in my locality.
That simple opportunities alone catapulted me and opened so many doors in the crypto and web 3 ecosystem. Infact my perspective changed because I met a lot of people in that space that weren't techies they were just on the non-tech aspect of it. I got a change to undergo a 4-weeks mentoring class.

The best bitcoin events allow you to learn a lot from other people's experiences and allow attendees to contribute in-depth knowledge. Nevertheless, there aren't many bitcoin events held. Events serve a variety of purposes, including raising awareness and disseminating information. They also have many intriguing advantages, and it appears that many people learn more effectively from hands-on experiences than they do from reading about things online. For this reason, even in the educational system, practical experiences are frequently included because different people learn in different ways. I wish they could be plenty of events about bitcoin.

I have never been to any events myself, but if I ever get a chance, I would surely go there. Sharing is the best way to learn. So if there's people who can share their knowledge and I can learn from it, then yes it is beneficial. And if you ever have doubt about Bitcoin, I say go to and event. This will help you mentally to keep holding on.
And yes, different people have their different knowledge about many things which can only be learned by meeting them. Who knows, you may get to learn new things. So what I want to say is, if you can afford to go there, then just go. There's nothing bad going to happen and on the other hand, if you learn something new, then that's good for you.

I don't think such social gatherings ever helped bitcoin increase in value or usability, because most of them are discriminative towards people who are none-the-wiser about bitcoin itself, although not directly. The lack of stalls for bitcoin information desks, and how-tos, seminars intended for beginners on how to start their journey in the crypto industry, and a couple integral lackings are the primary reasons why I believe such gatherings, as packed and as well-received as they may be, is not impacting the price or the relevance of bitcoin in the outside world.

And it only makes sense for this to be the case, because the amount of walk-in curious individuals are really slow, like microscopically slow, so to dedicate specific booths and amenities to a low amount of audience just doesn't make sense from a business perspective.

As a bitcoiner attending bitcoin event will definitely add positively impact to you. You will learn about more techniques and also more ideas on your bitcoin journey. If you already know about all that was discussed, then you will have the connection to meet people who you can benefit from in the crypto space. Businessmen that are using bitcoin will have new innovation on their businesses and might even meet a new client. As long as it is a bitcoin seminar, there must be benefits for attending either directly or indirectly. My first bitcoin seminar that I attended gave me the inspiration on investing and the secrete behind having it as an asset.

I haven't been to many such events because I guess I'm not that social, and I don't really want to engage with the crypto community physically (online is totally fine for me), but I've been to some when it was convenient (like when there's a set of events, and I'll attend some anyway, so I might as well attend a crypto event). I think it's good that such a way of networking exists, and it's also a way of promoting Bitcoin, making more people aware of its existence. But I didn't learn anything amazing and didn't meet anyone who made a big impact on my life. I also didn't pay anything to be there, and wouldn't have gone if it hadn't been free.

Going to bitcoin, crypto, blockchain events benefits us in anyway ?
Yes, it will provide you with many business opportunities and ideas for using BTC/blockchain technology. I do not understand why are you biased. like these places are full of educated and expert people where you get to know each other and you could make new friends plus you could learn a lot by experiencing new ideas and things which you may haven't known in your life. The biggest benefit is when you talk to the representatives of different projects individually to gain information but they will tell you something totally new (it's confirmed) these events have something new to learn and get But it all depends on the level of this event and who is organizing it like if it's international then it's going to be awesome if it is local then it will have limited benefits but you may make new BTC enthusiast friends there.

The downside of it, is if it's a local event then regulatory bans and laws over BTC and BTC events are necessary to keep in mind to keep your identity safe.

There is no much benefit in going to such events.
This also includes in the list of benefits because by going there you meet two new business partners of whatever rank you have given them, if you hadn't been there then how will you make new friends? This is only possible because you went there.

There are benefits from such events primarily for those who attend them. There they can find like-minded people and get new acquaintances. Those who want to get to know crypto closer and in a more lively format also go there. There were several such events in my city, but it it was more for developers than for general fans of the industry so I didn't go.I have a group of people who are into the industry and we don't need this kind of event.

Depends on the event you are going on since if they all talk about investment on mlm or hyip project using bitcoin then you need to get out of that place before you lose your money.

But if the discussion is all about the technology and to know people around your place using crypto then this is a perfect place for you to get a connection or get more additional learnings which you can use to earn more money on crypto scene.

There are so many things you can learn from blockchain gathering since you can see a lot of new start up projects which can give you an idea about possible trajectory on what will happen on future or what will be the next trend on the scene.

Pre-pandemic, I've attended a few of them and it was fun. Well, the foods served at those events were tasty and delicious, and that's what I like about attending those meet-ups. Kidding aside, it helped me to increase my network because of the people that have got connections from various industries but share the same interest we've got in investing in bitcoin and also being optimistic about blockchain technology.

it depends on your goals being here in this crypto market. if you are just a regular crypto user who doesn't need network, there's no need for you to attend such conferences. but if you are a business person with plans of setting up a crypto-related business or joining one, definitely, connections are important. because for one, you need money to push thru your project. and besides, all the other capable staffs, you can find in this type of gathering.
I think even if you're just like a single guy who's investing in the market, you'll get bored and want to network with other people. That's why attending conferences is a good way to extend the people that you know and to meet new people. You'll never know the knowledge that will be shared there is something that you're looking for and is very new to you. With those that I've attended, most of those I'm aware of what they've put into topic but still, I've learned a lot of new things there and met great people and that's why it is one of the best things to expect when you attend such.

i don't know any other benefit from going in those events aside from meeting people with the same interest as you do. all i can see about those events are just a social gathering for people to discuss a digital currency and how will it move from there etc. etc. i could still learn the same if i browse the internet or look for resources and materials online, meetings can be done through discord or even spaces. aside from spending tickets and booking flights i don't see any other benefit that can convince me to go into those places.

It cannot be said that they are completely useless or just a waste of time. If they really don't have any interests, it will not be possible to gather a large number of participants and have events with the participation of experts in the blockchain field. The world is colorful and colorful, don't think that you are talented or know it all, we are just a small grain of sand in this world. If you are a person who likes to learn, and like to communicate, then it is a place worth going to but if you value privacy, then you won't support such big events.

This is one of the most effective ways to promote crypto, of cos it's very effective, for new projects and developers around the world.

They can come together and create new partnerships and opportunities, the advantage is endless.

Some project developers will be able to meet big ICON in the space like Binance CZ and others, but this is not for mid-people that earn less money because to get to a location far away will cost you flight money, so this is surely not for everyone.

Sometimes I watch Bitcoin events if Live video is available or recorded ones, I always feel like attending one, just one Bitcoin event one day.

I haven't gone yet to any bitcoin event but I think it does benefit the attendees. What I was able to attend where webinars regarding cryptocurrencies and yes, it did help me because I was able to learn more about bitcoin and the broader cryptocurrency world. For people who were able to attend actual and virtual bitcoin events, I think it will be their call to make connections and create potential business opportunities with the people they met in the events. Also, attending these kind of events can help individuals stay updated with the latest trends of Bitcoin. It will always be worth it if you make use of the opportunities that you unlock after attending those events.

It’s always advised that, when you discuss with someone who is more wealthier or more knowledgeable than you, then definitely you learn something from them. I am not saying that these Bitcoin events are useless. Rather it completely depends on us, how we can retrieve knowledge from them. It’s completely dependent on people’s mindset how they gonna use the event to gain more knowledge and tips to make more Bitcoins. Also don’t think that, going to Bitcoin events will automatically fill your wallets with Bitcoins. Here you will learn from others and implement it in your own life.

Yeah, I agree. Usually those kind of events are quite expensive which only make those who can afford to attend. Most exclusive networking events of bitcoin are designed for professionals in the industry such as investors, entrepreneurs and are focused on business development and networking opportunities. Sometimes, it is also in terms of accessibility. Time and place of events just not align with all people, especially the working class.

But there are also many community led bitcoin events such as webinars and workshops that are open to anyone interested in learning more about the cryptocurrency. We can always just start.

Going to Bitcoin events and gathering with Bitcoin enthusiasts are just publicity if you're holding Bitcoin, so any bad person will know you're have Bitcoin inside your smartphone and you have Bitcoin in your home. Do you want to being a target by criminal? if you don't care with it since you can protect yourself, then go for it. If your purpose are to learn about Bitcoin, better to learn yourself or browsing in this forum.

Going to bitcoin, crypto, blockchain events benefits us in anyway ?
I am something biased at this because of internet sayings, biased in positive side that they are very benefiting and worth my time, share your experiences about going to events is good or bad ,
are you gone to any bitcoin events ? and, in which way it helped you, do you learned new things that is very difficult to learn on internet, do you met amazing people, do going to that events worth your time and money.

No form of learning or knowledge is a waste, attending bitcoin event is not bad. Sometimes we need what other people has to share if it is correct to add to the knowledge we have, and if it is wrong to make correction by contributing ideas by the end of the discussion to correct some wrong idea which will lead young traders and investors astray. The truth is that discussions in every bitcoin events are not 100% correct, some people just organise this events without knowing much about cryptocurrency just to make money from it.
my reason of not attending those kind of events is:

1. i can try to gather information online and the thing that i need without spending
2. it is expensive booking flight alone and buying tickets with the said event.

though I agree that you will learn something by attending them aside from gaining experience by socializing with like-minded people. one of the more reasons I cannot just casually go is due to my current financial situations that doesn't allow me to go conveniently. let's also admit it that not everyone can afford such things and if there is a possibility of them gaining money to afford travels, their wise decision would be using it to much more conventional way like buying more investment, coz there will always be time in the future where they will no longer think twice and look at their balance if they plan to attend such glamorous event. i also have to agree that there are some organizers who only do those kinds of events just to take advantage and earn profits through their so called seminars/gatherings.

Attending crypto conferences and blockchain meetings can be a great experience and provides many benefits, including networking opportunities, exposure to new ideas and technologies, and access to industry experts. I haven't attended any events myself, but reports show that they can be very informative and interesting.

The ability to learn from those who shape the industry and connect with like-minded individuals can be invaluable. Overall, attending Bitcoin events is a great way to stay informed and engaged with the rapidly growing world of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

i don't know any other benefit from going in those events aside from meeting people with the same interest as you do. all i can see about those events are just a social gathering for people to discuss a digital currency and how will it move from there etc. etc. i could still learn the same if i browse the internet or look for resources and materials online, meetings can be done through discord or even spaces. aside from spending tickets and booking flights i don't see any other benefit that can convince me to go into those places.

There have been bitcoin gatherings in the past month, I think in New York, which they say are big conventions for bitcoin. There are also booths there for coins. They will be having a conference and talking about the best use of bitcoin and criticizing our financial system. Basically it is just for fun, like we couldn't get free bitcoins there; it is just meeting new people, learning new things about bitcoin, and having fun, but again, those like us internet lurkers don't want to join it. I prefer watching it live than going to that place though.

There are a lot of things you will going to learn from Bitcoin, cryptocurrency events that will change your life positively, because some of the facilitators in that events are wealthy people which they are not there to scam people than to impact something useful to their life. If you have not witness anyone in your environment, just try and be available for anyone in this season so that you will be part of the benefits. The event will eliminate the spirit of fear in you whenever the price of Bitcoin is decreasing in the market than to make you bold in holding at the moment not to miss your opportunity when the price hit higher.

It's up to you, if you need more relationships, more people to accompany you on your investment journey, or you have a bitcoin related business, and you want more partners, bitcoin events, and seminars suitable for you. I'm just a retail investor and hardly work in a team, so I rarely go to those events because I feel it's very wasteful. But also be selective about events because many events will not be intended to discuss technology and the future of bitcoin, but they are organized to showcase shitcoins.

Not a bad thing to join the events. You can learn a lot from those Bitcoin and blockchain events. People tend to share their experience and you will be meeting like minded people who share your interests in crypto and blockchain. It you are looking for business partners, you can find them there. Those kinds of events also often attract representatives from various companies and projects, which can provide potential job or investment opportunities. And the best part of regularly attending those events is that you can keep yourself updated with the market and the technology.

Not yet but some of my friends had already done going on those event and yes according to their response and comments>?
it brings them more idea, belief and positive thoughts and views into the crypto space , meaning this is  beneficial in any way.
and why need to be biased?
here in crypto there is a need for sharing and believing because we don't know everything and never rely only in internet instead listen to everything and learn on your own .

I won't assume that you won't learn anything from Bitcoin-related events, but I doubt that at this point there are still events whose objective is mainly on Bitcoin awareness. I haven't attended a single Bitcoin or crypto or blockchain event because I know there are centralized products or platforms that will be promoted.

I once checked in at a hotel where there is a crypto event. It was centered on investment and trading. Just recently, there was also a gathering of sorts in what is called the Bitcoin island here. But it was basically sponsored by a certain wallet, and it was probably for the promotion of it.

But if there is an event that is solely focused on Bitcoin education, I might be interested.

No, I don't, what for?.

Because I know very much, then I don't need to go to a bitcoin event.

That event is just for the labile person who still doubts bitcoin,
So if you know much and have confidence, it's washing your time, especially if you go with your friend, yes if you go with your friend who doesn't know what bitcoin is, you will get the benefit, especially if your friend wants to create account exchange to begin to buy bitcoin, you can get benefit by giving your referral link register.

Going out for bitcoin events and meetups are good one because it has a lot of benefits attached. As a  bitcoin and blockchain enthusiasts eager to learn, you will meet up with people far much higher than you in the industry and that will avail you the opportunity to learn more added to your knowledge and also get connected to the high and mighty in the industry.  If you are actually looking for investors for your project, this will create room for you to showcase your project and what it is all about thereby attracting more investors to you depending on the nature of your project. Nevertheless, building a good network of block chain allies start from here, if you want to get them, then go for meetups and events.

Yes, you'll learn some additional information and at the same time, you'll meet new people in the same verse that you're interested in.

Some people find it incredibly helpful to attend Bitcoin or cryptocurrency events because they find it simple to learn concepts through hands-on instruction. Similarly, you might observe people asking various technical questions during Bitcoin physical lectures that you might not even consider. therefore taking bitcoin lessons would make it simple for someone to learn everything at once. In particular, beginners may find those Bitcoin classes more motivating than learning alone online. Let just  know that acquiring knowledge for both sides are really helpful.

In case you are not familiar with, we have board that totally dedicated to Bitcoin/Blockchain events: Meetups.

Ok, probably we can go back in time, first bitcoin conference:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pv0SdUNcBKc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ljx4bbJrYE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRjEd8NS4Wc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AI8LUrnK_GQ

Maybe some of the attendees that time bough Bitcoin and could still be holding but this time, or maybe they lost everything to Mt. Gox.

But the point is that there could be a lot of benefits by joining this conferences and meetups and you could learn a thing or two or meet someone that could be big in the Bitcoin ecosystem. You'll not never know, who you gonna bump.

Just like an expo, You can find your fellow enthusiast, find new connections, learn something new or just enjoy the even you attended. Sometimes it's refreshing to talk in person on things you like or things you are knowledgeable of like in our case it's bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I've attended one or two bitcoin and crypto event in my life and for me it is enjoyable given that I've learned something new in the space and the potential trends. There are also new connections that have been born with public persons, You just need to approach them right  Grin  You're not forced to submit your identity in events like this if you don't want to.

My local area only had crypto event like this once and I didn't let it slipped, I'm shocked that there are more people than I'm expecting and I wasn't expecting some familiar faces.

Bitcoin or cryptocurrency events is only for marketing purpose, the main reason behind those events will be to promote any bitcoin or cryptocurrency related service or website.
If your only purpose is to learn more about bitcoin I think these events will not help you anyway.
I don't attend any bitcoin events but I have watched some of these events on the internet. If you want to learn more about bitcoin or cryptocurrency you can find many information on the internet and also in this forum.
It's very important to know about cryptocurrency, especially now that we are advancing into a digital world, sooner everything will be done online without stress. Informed of marketing, they do giveaway and shows how crypto works and what's needed to make profits in the market. Cryptocurrency events will not lecture you on the crucial information about the space, rather it will enlightened one to know how the market operates, the basics information about the market. But for complex understanding, a lengthy understandable PDFs are needed inother to impact useful information into one's brain.

If doesn't benefit us that much since those seminars could be held online where you can attain knowledge unknown that doesn't expose your identity which is I prefer due to it can be dangerous at the same time. Maybe at some events for sure there's a lot of freebies and coupon that you can get which make it more fun. I haven't tried to go in bitcoin events, however I've seen some online where they post a lot of pictures of the event. It's more likely a marketing strategy to acknowledge bitcoin especially if its done in public places. A lot of influencers and artists to gain more public attention. If you're aiming to have connections with other people might be better to do it online.

The answer to the question of the op is a yes and also a no at the same time, attending bitcoin events or classes may help to add to the cryptocurrency knowledge of an individual in the sense that during the course of the event, more information will be shared by more experienced individuals and the beginners will benefit from the information shared because they will be sharing both the theory and the practical aspects of it to encourage starters to benefit and put what they have learnt in to practice.

On the No part of it, attending bitcoin events can be dangerous to individuals who are enthusiasts because the event can expose them to dangers from people who may be looking for an opportunity to rob them of their bitcoins or mark their faces for future attacks which can lead to lost of funds so I won't support a physical bitcoin event because just as the seed phrase of a particular user is private everything about the user ought to be private including the names and location of the user.

When I first picked interest in bitcoin, I used to watch a lot of YouTube videos and attend crypto events just to better understand how to position myself in this bitcoin space. I have not attended a paid event, the first crypto event I attended was sponsored by FTX, that should tell you that there are pros and cons to attending these events. The pros is that you get to connect with people with the same interest as you, grow and build a community, and possibly make a name for yourself as a bitcoin expert. The cons is the sponsors of the event could spend the whole time talking about their company or promoting a coin and not actually focus on the supposed theme of the event.

Regardless of whatever it is, at least there must be something we can take as a lesson when gathering with fellow bitcoin enthusiasts. Even though it may not be material in nature, of course there are new experiences and learnings that are definitely beneficial and it is precisely compared to material things that are likely to be what we are looking for.

I actually want to look for something like this in my area, especially for big events, it's just that when looking at the current conditions and regulations that are still not possible, something like this still can't happen for me personally.

If you're solely a Bitcoin user, attending Bitcoin events can be a great opportunity to connect with like-minded tech enthusiasts and gain new knowledge. However, if you're involved in the Bitcoin business, attending such events can significantly expand your network and lead to potential investment opportunities.

It's important to note that while attending these events can be financially beneficial for those in the industry, it may not provide the same level of financial gain for general crypto users who may not have the means to attend. Nonetheless, attending these events can still provide valuable educational and networking opportunities for all attendees.

I think we have a thread for that already,  although it won't be wise waking a thread that has long been abandoned you can go through it to learn what people think about attending bitcoin conferences Is going to a the bitcoin conference worth it?
I haven't been to any bitcoin conference but I feel that since most people that are involved in Bitcoin are thoughtful when it comes to privacy and attending conferences might put them in danger especially when the program theme is about wealth, most people might end up being a target.
But some still like to go hoping that they'll be able to gain more network/connection with those that are high up in the bitcoin ecosystem, I might consider going depending on who's going to be present there at the conference because you never can tell what you'll gain by being present there.

Do you mean some kind of official event held to discuss Bitcoin, some kind of seminar or training like that?.
I've never come across such an official event at my place, or maybe I'm not up to date for events like that. It is possible that even if there were, I might not have time to attend such an event because of my busy schedule.
Usually I will only get together with my friends who are crypto fans and we are not there to discuss crypto or Bitcoin seriously in particular, we just get together, joke and tell stories and discuss a little about crypto or Bitcoin occasionally.

There is no much benefit in going to such events. The one I attended was a total waste of time and the only benefit I derived from it was meeting two new friends who are currently in my team.
When you attend such events you will understand that many of the guests are even more experienced in cryptocurrency than the resource persons.
People that knows the real deal doesn't seek attention and hardly organise events.
It is mostly the shit coin creators and crypto ponzi schemers that organise such meetings to promote their projects to the innocent audience while using bitcoin to envelope and sell heir ideas.

I also think like you, if there is an official event like that maybe there really is a specific intention that in the end they promote their project and invite participants to join them.

A gathering of bitcoin enthusiasts or bitcoiners will definitely add one or more knowledge to an attendee. But right now in my country I don’t see my self attend such physical events for bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies because it exposes one to the government. The risk seems maybe too much for a knowledge I could also get from my home anonymously. More so also everything that can be teach physical can also be done through online classes
