Not yet. And I think no cryptocurrency will be launched as gold. Because the theme is quite different than gold. Gold is a physical asset whereas crypto is a virtual currency.
Actually in the world of crypto currency gold coin is used as metaphor .Here gold coin means a currency for the payment that is not traditional. It is also called digital gold currency and used for payment purposes. So in that sense bitcoin is also the gold currency. It is fist ion the world of the crypto currency. Here gold does not mean the gold actually that we know rather here gold means alternative coin like bitcoin to have bitcoin is like to have gold.
I am not sure about gold crypto currency. I think people invest on bitcoin rather than gold because investor gets profit from bitcoin.
