Recently, I decided to venture into an interesting and profitable(not of lately like before) part of crypto currency, known as CRYPTO MINING. It uses hardware Devices usually built up into a mining farm and financed by friends and investors knowing that a larger investment would reduce cost of mining and increase profits on investments. Crypto mining has faced a lot of hinderance like the volatility of the price of bitcoins and bitcoin cash, government taxes and now restrictions by some countries due the perceived green house gas generated from energy use.

I bumped into a quite interesting analysis made by Vladimir Jelisavcic on long hash. He compared the Energy use by bitcoin mining and an alternate currency, gold mining. You can check it out here; https://www.longhash.com/news/bitcoin-uses-a-lot-of-energy-but-gold-mining-uses-more.

What do you think about this analysis and the effect it has on investments and government restrictions on mining?
