I've added a log file so everybody can see what's going on with deposits and payouts
http://goldenbit.org/log.txt

Your feedback is greatly appreciated

Prizes are calculated according to this table (% of the total btc raised during the 1-hour round)

10% of money raised is transferred to the next round and another 10% is used to form a JackPot bank that is payed out every 24 hours to a random address from which we've received a bet during these 24 hours. The likelihood of winning a JeckPot is calculated the same way as regular prizes: betting more will increase your chances to win a JackPot

can you use multibit? on testnet

Unfortunately I've never used Multibit, only the good old Bitcoin Core

You should be able to use multibit for testnet, according to https://github.com/jim618/multibit/blob/master/configuration.md#testnet with "testOrProductionNetwork=testnet3"

Short rounds are good idea. The most annoying part of most lotteries is waiting for the draw.

short rounds are fun indeed, however longer rounds would have larger prizes

I was thinking about the following: make a big 24h round with a jackpot, but during this big round we will also have multiple small rounds where prizes will be sent out as well. What do you guys think?

Welcome to GoldenBit Lottery Test!
Thank you for your interest in GoldenBit Lottery beta test!
If you would like to participate in this test (and win testnet BTC in the process! Smiley ) just get some testnet bitcoins from this faucet http://tpfaucet.appspot.com/ and send em to the deposit address

In order to get your bitcoin wallet on the testnet you have to:
  • Close your bitcoin wallet
  • Open bitcoin.conf file which may topically be found (if you're on Windows) here: C:\Users\your-user-name\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin
  • Add the following line to the bitcoin.conf
    testnet=1
  • Save and close bitcoin.conf file
  • Run your bitcoin wallet
  • While you wait until your wallet synchronizes with the testnet blockchain you may request some coins from the faucet here: http://tpfaucet.appspot.com/

Don't worry, setting your wallet to testnet mode does not delete any main net data (such as main net blockchain, wallet.dat etc.). All testnet stuff is stored in its own folder.

Every satoshi sent counts as a lottery ticket. The more satoshis you send the more chances you get to win one or several prizes that you can see below

For the test purposes each round lasts 1 hour. It will be changed to 24 hours for the release version to make prizes bigger and more appealing (although I am eager to know what's your opinion on this)

GoldenBit Lottery operates at 0.5% fee
10% of money raised during each round is moved to the next round
