It still surprises me to see good quality crypto analysis in the 'mainstream media', especially with regard to altcoins.

Of the 5 projects the article covers, I think Ethereum Blue will be the runaway leader for 2018 and could also make a huge impact on the overall crypto world once they release their new ethereum wallet and SDK for scanning smart contracts to discover flaws and malicious code.
Skycoin also looks like an interesting project which solves many of the problems regarding net neutrality and open internet for all.
