You could buy a refurbished HDD from newegg for pretty cheap..I wouldn't trust a refurb drive for data storage, but $25 for something that just has Windows on it is fine.
I'm in Europe...and all is expensive here ...Can't find a drive under 40€ -_- Maybe in second-main...

It's not possible to make an install on a USB Key ? 
It's expensive to buy an HDD just for 25Go of Data
Or, it is possible to use one HDD for multiple PC (because I envisage to make 2 or 3 rigs)

If you are going windows then you will need a HDD.

I think the rig looks good I take it you won't mine with reaper as you'd need more
system memory. I remember reading a thread not long ago about an issue with a 5th
card (windows) as well as using powered risers for more than 3. I am a newb also so hopefully
someone with more experience will be able to chime in.

I'm trying to built a minig rig for Litecoin. But this is my first real "rig" (before I use normal PC with 1 or 2 GPU to mine). So configuration :
CPU : AMD Sempron 145 (2.8 GHz)
PSU : Seasonic X-1050 80PLUS Gold
RAM : 2Gb Rip Jaws DDR3
HDD : One USB Stick 32 Go 3.0 (windows mining, sorry too much problems with linux)
GPU : 5 7950 Sapphire
MB : I don't know : Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 (because it had 5 PCI-E) or another motherboard, less expensive but with less 5 PCI-E.
Does this thing work with a PCI x1 and a 7950 or I need another manipulation ?
