I'll tell you what I tell every other new miner who asks this same thing...

Here's a guide for any new and clueless miners who ask this same type of lame, repetitive questions....

If you need to ask those easy simple questions, then gosh, please don't get into mining!!! lol
Enough miners who have no idea what they're doing and end up going bust... then whining about it later.
Blaming everything but their own dumb selves.
You often see miners who need hand holding at every step of their mining, they're too lazy to do their own research.
Then when it comes time to get serious, on their own, they fail because everyone else did their work.
If you can't do you own homework, mining will eat you whole and spit you out like a old dirty sock.
Mining is attractive to liberals because you can make a lot of money without much work... considering you know what you're doing.
Research is not a liberal's strong suit, whining and rhetoric is... don't be a dumbass liberal.

If I can give any advice, go for a holiday.
Unless you got free power, an existing infrastructure and serious knowledge of the REAL LIFE mining industry, leave it to the experts.
Buy coin and hold, mining will ruin you like it's done to so many other clueless bozos on this forum.
I see miners come and go, in both crypto and gold mining... 99% who leave is because they didn't have a mining plan.
The other 1% thought it was going to be easy.
It's that or become too stubborn or pot committed and lose everything.

Crypto mining is an impulse buyer's market, if you can game it, there's lots of money to be made yet.
It's attractive to plug in a miner and start earning but when it comes to running the business, no one wants to do it.
If you do decide to start mining, only burn money you can afford to never see again or at least, not for a very long time.
Don't become another casualty because then I will tell you... I told you so, you were well warned stop crying now.
If you sell all your loot to make ends meet for mining, you shouldn't mine.

Just asking that very question I know you'll fail because mining is all about taking nothing and making something.
Some things aren't so obvious but mining's an un-regulated occupation, caveat emptor, you're on your own.
I am a successful miner because I have free power and an extensive knowledge of the mining industry.
When miners make 0.01 / TH.s I make about 3x that... because I constantly do homework.
Not saying you're a liberal but usually, it's the kind of un-researched questions they ask, hoping everyone else will do their work.

You'll never make a profit in mining if you won't do a profitable miner's job... Been mining for 3 years and I spend my days researching how I can make my mine for efficient, buy more efficient miners and equipment...

Want to be a mine boss?  Act like one... I just gave you the pre-beginner's (decision making) guide to mining.
I've made a lot of sacrifices and if you want to mine, you will have to do sacrifices too.

Hope this helps...

Very very very clear.

Don´t go into mining unless you are willing to take a risk
do researches both about running miner at home (Noise) and !electricity cost!
and don´t put money into it unless you are ready to loose it.

Tip: Better to go buy bitcoin, and buy hashes with spoondoolies partner with genesis mining that accepts credit cards.

So if something does happen you got a chargeback or potential other security on your side.

Other then that theres not much choices unless you have a gambling mindset with buying hardware and you got free electricity.

Best idea for miners presently would seem to me to be:

Don't do it! !

It all depends on your electricity price.  And i you pay a vat.   Those can make or break a miner.

But yes you can still ROI.  Many still do it, no it's not 90 days.  No it's not get rich quick scheme.

But if you enjoy it it's a great hobby.

I agree it is a great hobby, I enjoyed it very much while it was profitable.

Unfortunately for many like me in the UK its now cheaper to buy than mine Sad.

I feel sorry for many of you there.  The VAT just adds a instant way to add quite a bit more needed for ROI.

Cheap electricity is essential.  And having no vat is a big help.

I agree VAT is a killer on top of really expensive electricity prices....

It hasn't been viable to mine in the UK even with the latest equipment for a while now Embarrassed.

is good 0.05$, but may be that turn off electricity example yesterday turn off electricity and internet 1 hourse and after turn on

If you don't have stable internet or electricity yes that will effect your mining.  You will have not near as effective mining if you lose one or both of those items.

So if you started mining on non reliable utilities your mining income could be severely effected depending on how often it happens, and how long of duration it happens.

this turn off electisity happens probably one month once.

To me , i living georgia and 1 kilovat price is in dolar 0.05$ .

I want mining , why is not profitable ?

Why will losing my money?

your price is really good, one of the best i have seen, it's the same price big china farm are using with their contract(ceo of avalon say it in a thread)

you should do good, with a s5 miner, you will not lose money if you can wait some months for roi
.05 is good for mining.  I think part of it was you were not mining 24x7 you mentioned.  You should be able to mine at a profit.

If you are trying to see ho much you will make you might try something such as this mining calculator: https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator

I think part of it is you have one S3, I think you were expecting more btc a day then you are mining.  One S3 is still small amount in large scheme of miners.

((

What talking ?

You tell me that mining is bad ? And isn't profitable ?

You don't 'indertand'?! Me neither!

I'm sorry, but I had to Smiley

What Huh

If you're asking if it's profitable the answer is no.
There are some factors that can make it profitable though:
-free or dirt cheap hardware
-free or dirt cheap electricity
-increase of Bitcoin value
