Every one will welcome if it really good news but just posting the link in forum will not get more visitors to your website, it's better you need to elaborate what are the new features and how it is beneficial to the people you should explain it very clearly.
Daily many people visiting forum to understand the new thing and new platform are being announced by many members out there. Better make a clear post before posting it.
