Poloniex would be a good start. As I find it user friendly and convenient to use. However, they currently having issues with their customer support. It would be better if you'll go with Bittrex. For a secure BTC wallet, you can try LEDGER NANO S which is expensive, but I assure you that your Bitcoins will be really secured. If you don't want to spend a dime for a wallet, myetherwallet is the second choice because each wallet has a password encryption which makes it harder to access.
I applied for Bittrex account verification about one month ago and still it verified.Can any one suggest me secure good platform to trading ?
