Won't turn out as a profitable investment, with such high power cost, your earnings will be insignificant, if you also take into account the cost of your 1070 GPUs. I would also suggest to buy the GTX 1060, they are more value for money and use a little less power than the 1070's.

where do you live for .19 cents? you'd be so much better off investing in crypto (buying your coins rather than mining them), especially if it dumps again and then buy in during a dip. at .19 cents kWh, it'll be hard to even break even.. If you do want to do it for fun I would invest in the cheapest/easy to resell components

edit: eth mining will soon be quite unprofitable

Your power is way too expensive to get started in this business. Especially with the ETH block reward reduction happening in a few weeks.

Answering your question, most GPUs are very quiet.

Your ROI from scratch will probably be 2 years.

19 cents is high  not easy to turn profit

Hello boiz,

First of all thank you for this amazing communauty. I love the crypto world !

I want to build a rig and be part of this adventure but i'm a complete noob so before i make a substantial investment i'm asking for advices from the experts. I would like to find a great ROI rig, planning to mine ETH or some alts (depending which one is the most profitable)

This is what i was suggested :

ATX Motherboard intel 1151
CPU intel 1151
4Gb of RAM DDR4
Hard Drive 40GB SSD
1 X Powersupply 1200w
4 X  USB 3.0 PCI-E 1X to 16X Extender Riser Adapter Direct sata
GPU 4x  I-E 1X to 16X Extender Riser Adapter Direct sata
GPU 2x 1070 gti (add 4 if profitable)
1x ON/OFF switch wifi

Does it seems decent to you? How many month to freeroll the cost of hardware?
Unfortunately i live in a country where the electricity is expensive (0.19$/kWh)

I know i'm not gonna make millions but i want to do this for fun (But don't mind the income of course)

My budget is unlimited but obviously nothing too crazy, i want to be able to sleep in my flat Smiley

I'm open to any suggestion, the goal is to have the best ROI possible and a rig < 70dB which is not too big.
