Just to update this one I was actively using Google's search engine and come to my surprise that theybare also showing ads for ICO listing websites so I think they might have loosen the ban with some exceptions a little bit. Although they aren't showing any ads for ICOs they are still showing ads related to it which I think is a progress on their case. Still really depends on what you are trying to promot though so really not all can benefit Google's Adwords.

There are ways to bring traffic, even you are crypto related. We've done ICO, just crypto advertising for ICObench, FreeWallet, BestRate, MyWish, etc. Google Adwards is one of the best channels.

I Think behvaior of google is contradictory, On one hand, every 2nd site is talking, discussing, advertising, writing articles on Google and different websites of Google and google itself playing big role in publishing Crypt / bitcoin news on every famous news channel but when talk about adward, NO .. Big NO from google.

I guess If Google allow bitcoin or crypto lover a chance to adwards, it will proved to be a cause in increasing assets and income of Google. Think about it Google

Today Google send me the letter -- 'We unblocked your account'.
And now I'm thinking -- what can I do with it -- all my ads will be banned in any case... :-(

I had exactly the same case Sad On google and YT

Now we did in Google Ads so:

keywords: buy bitcoin, btc...

advertise: buy and sell (without crypto words)

site: our crypto exchange

So we don't use crypto words in ads text.
And everything works good.
:-)

As far as we know Google allows crypto related ads given proper licences... but am keen to try this though

Guys, what do you think about Google Adwords -- at one side crypto ads are illegal for it.
But at another side -- there's ads of eToro (for example).
Question to all marketers of crypto sites -- how do you solve this problem?

If they are blocking ads we cannot do anything on it until they ease up, they are using a very unique algorithm, you cannot cheat adwords there are still other advertising networks that are dedicated to promoting Cryptocurrency, try them you will still get the same results jus tlike when you are advertising on ADWORDS.

Lol!!!! etoro isn't even in favor of crypto trading (even if they offer one) and they made their statement perfectly clear with their “hodl” commercial featuring Kristian Nairn (the man who portrayed Hodor in Game of Thrones). To keep it short etoro is more of a second class all-in platform from stocks to foreign currencies but they are not solely focused on crryptocurrencies itself, it's just a part of their program that is why Google is allowing it to have ads in adsense and commercials in Youtube because they are not directly related to the crypto industry.

Thanx.
Of course, we know about cointraffic.io -- and now we began to advertise there.
CPM = 5 euro, CTR ~0,3% (it's the best our result) -- so one click costs ~1,6 euro
It's not quite cheap. And traffic is too cold for convertion...

Cointraffic -- is the best ad system in cryptomarket, but Google Ads should be better.

You are paying too much. Using influencers we usually see below $1USD (0.88 euro) CPC. Also, when you advertise via influencers its much more personal than a banner ad on a news site.

Yes, you are right.
But it may work only in case of large budget, I guess.
The influencer should be a leader with a lot of viewers.
Big sum of money will get us big number of clicks.
But there's a big risk -- we may pay to influencer and get nothing...

But unfortunately, Google ads are very harsh to Crypto related sites why not try Coinmarketcap I'm always attracted to click those banners showing on top of their page and some big companies are seeing good results here  you can advertise by filling this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc6ODdnuzoPUe1PxDwGxq0HK9GSEkyzIQQgrVa1k_dxqDdlqQ/viewform

I'm sure that there is the same situation with coinmarketcap as with cointraffic -- good-looking ads system (with the best support etc.) but with cold and expensive traffic...

Google do ban any ICO related Adword and Facebook have follow the same pattern. If anybody know other methods apart from the link given by user "gullu" I will really appreciate it as it means a lot to me at the moment.

As the matter of fact that we don't provide ICO, but Google doesn't like us -- it explains the reason of banning -- "Cryptocurrencies"

Join the world-leading crypto sportsbook NOW!
Best answer is to check the terms and conditions from Google itself.

I can tell you this though. It is definitely open for crypto and blockchain, BUT you cannot solicit interest to buy or participate in any form of sales or even tokens, which would later be considered a risk for securities. I know this because yeah, I can see all kinds of crypto ads floating around on every VPN location.

P.S. eToro is not strictly only crypto. Made its name elsewhere and people still know it not for crypto.

For promoting, to my mind another great alternative of adsense is publishing paid articles on websites like cointelegraph, ccn and etc.

CTR of paid articles is too low (almost zero), and publishing is too expensive.
If I'm not right -- it's OK -- show me the best cases -- I'll be glad to know that I'm not right.

Google Support told me yesterday: "USA and Japan --the only countries where you can publish ads".
Me: "But I can see a number of crypto ads in google in Germany -- what is the f**k?"
Google Support: "You may report to us -- and we'll abuse all of them"

In other words: Hey, we accept ads from anyone. You might advertise a banned product but we'll only take it down after somebody reported you. Take care guys.
They may miss something and I think it should not be a problem.
OP so now you know what to advertise and which countries must be your target, don't break their rules because you need good positions in google anyway.

Google may accept ads after specific regulation about crypto.

We have got a large mountain of government licences of EU.
But Google even don't ask for them -- are you crypto? so, get off my cloud :-)

I know that google and facebook has banned the ICO ads. But there are some tricks to launch the campaign in google and facebook. I came to know about this method when I contacted an ICO marketing agency for marketing a project. This is the link https://guerrillabuzz.com/ico-ieo-sto-marketing-guide/#Overcome%20Google,%20Facebook%20&%20twitter%20ICO%20ban , Go through this link. It explains everything that you need to know.

Seriously -- I guess that there are some lifehacks. But nobody wants to show his secrets.

According to Google "only regulated merchants with special permission can advertise on its platform."

if you can properly follow Google's ads policy you can advertise the same as eToro did.

Mostly banned crypto are only ICOs projects other crypto related sites are fine because they have permission to advertise their website.

There is other option to advertise on google without getting banned in adwords they mostly called it blackhat method. I have a past experience about this before we are calling it as "Cloaking" or "masking" but I don't if it still working until now.

Not good to test because I always heard that they are always fail advertising on adwords with cloking but some user's said that they can still make it work by changing some settings and adding some code to bypass the bot and the site will look like a legit website(Different content) only on the eyes of the google bots but if visitors visit your website they will see your real content.

Yes. I'll keep going on this searching...
But in any case Google Adwords would be the best way to get warm traffic for any subject... :-(
It's definitely the best and economical way to do so but the thing is you don't have that choice for your project. That's why a lot of project have resorted to doing ad campaigns on a different way and that incolves a lot of participants showing ads to social media sites, Youtube videos, medium articles and even reddit posts. Even though you can't directly post your ad with their banner spaces this is a good alternative to be seen by site users. The downside is you also need to have a bigger budget for that.

Etoro is a fired trading platform.
Adword accepts crypto project advertising, I am not sure of google adword USA but google adword Japan accepts crypto coins.

Does this answer your question? A simple use of their Google search engine you will see the ads directly related to what you are searching, a simple search of the words "shoes" or "bag" you will see some ads from related to them. But based from what I have searched Google ads on shows crypto related exchanges not ICOs from projects. Google might have change their restrictions and allowed exchanges to advertise in their program but they still are strict on other projects especially ICOs.

It's pretty hard these days to advertise anything crypto-related on Adwords or Facebook for example.
Even if you do manage to start a campaign, chances are that it will be put on hold after review.

eToro is not crypto related, at least it's not their main focus. It's more of a social trading/investment platform and BTC just happens to be part of it. Not to mention the company was founded in 2006. As for the solution, use other advertising networks that are crypto friendly.
