I am pretty sure that icloud will backup your phone whenever you have it connected to power and wifi. You will need to restore your phone to a recent backup prior to when you upgraded to the newest version of iOS (and when google authenticator was still working)
Yes that may be true , but thankfully my iCloud is full so it didn't .
So the only way to get the app from iCloud is to restore the whole phone from iCloud backup? I hate apple sometimes...

I don't know anything about icloud. Hopefully, you can retrieve your google authenticator data from there.

Moral of the story: back up your google authenticator code before enabling it

Hi.
I updated my iOS and lost my google authenticator code for bter and now , ofcourse , I can't log in.
BTER requires my ID to reset the TOTP , which I will never give out to anyone on the internet , and especially to someone I don't know (isn't bitcoin supposed to be anonymous?)
Anyways , what can I do to get my old google authenticator code back? Has anyone experienced this problem before and managed to solve it?
I do NOT have a backup on my computer , however I do have a backup on iCloud and google authenticator is in it (the old one). Is there a way to restore the app within iCloud ?
Please advise
