I'm about to update by just looking at the thread and after reading those replies, well it's for iOS ATM.
As long as it does, it will appear on Android soon. [1]
Can't wait for that moment.

Tried with the Virtual keyboard and nothing there too.

After looking on the image in reddit I think the interface looks like an iPhone interface. I guess it was not released for android yet.

The beautiful thing is that the symbol appears as a real BTCitcoin and not as we used "Baht symbol is ฿."

Is the adding the symbol itself supposed to be a new update or he's referring to the fact that It's the first now?
I have updated my android just a week ago I use google keyboard only instead of using Samsung's proprietary keyboard. Sadly, it is not appearing in my android device. I am using android Oreo in one of the latest smartphones from Samsung! Can anyone else confirm the same?

But, according to some, it's only for iOS, and the picture doesn't look the one I'm seeing on my device.
This seems to be true, read this:

Google has just added the infamous Bitcoin “B” symbol to its keyboard, but only for iOS users. It’s not clear why it hasn’t been added to Android keyboards. To access it, make sure you’re using the Google keyboard, not just the default Apple one, and hold down the dollar symbol to see a pop up of several of the world’s major currency symbols. The Bitcoin symbol is located on the far left. But will it encourage adoption?

As long as it does, it will appear on Android soon. [1]

Running Oreo too, nothing like BTC in google keyboard on both Nokia and Samsung.

@cs_moderator member of "reddit.com/r/Bitcoin" published a picture from his personal phone explaining that Google's listing Bitcoin symbol "BTC" as the first cryptocurrency to be included.

It did not appear to me but it seems to have been added according to the comments in the link[1].
