I'm still anti Ripple . never got  convinced  with its  trust based system.

Ripple will go open source once it is in place.

It is not a currency. XRP is only an anti-spam method.

God knows who gave it intrinsic value. It was never supposed to be that way as per Ryan Fuggers design.

Well, they have been funded now. Which means that they will eat away at some publicity for as long as it can last.

Ripple is aiming to be nothing more than Mt Gox, in a slightly more distributed manner.

I assume that once they go open source and people start setting up Ripple servers across the world, thats when we will actually see how effective it is.

Open  source  it the only condition i  will be  using  that. other  wise i  will still have  a hard  time  trusting a  trust  based   system  like  ripple. :-)

From where the Ripple client can be downloaded?
How to get XRP?

Is ripple good?
This site tells other way.

If WikiLeaks started accepting donations on the Ripple network, governments can serve a court order to OpenCoin Inc for, them to block and reverse transactions to WikiLeaks.
OpenCoin Inc has that power, because the network is centralized. They legally have to.
If the Bitcoin Foundation was issued this court order, then all they could do is release a new version of the bitcoin client – and people won’t upgrade, because the code is open source.
I like the highlighted statement.
