So the paper was released in 2008, and bitcoins weren't made in 2009. I've heard bitcoin was made in 2008 but that was just the concept in 2008, correct?

Correct. The whitepaper was released on the Cryptography Mailing List on November 1st, 2008. Here: http://www.mail-archive.com/cryptography%40metzdowd.com/msg09959.html

The genesis block was created on 1231006505 (January 3, 2009).

...
Apart from that I don't know why this bug is mentioned in the reply by google, because it has no direct relation to the question.

Because Google pulls answers to simple "What/What/Where" questions from Wikipedia when it thinks it's appropriate. Furthermore, the "when" nature of the question probably caused Google to look at the body text underneath the "History"

tag on the wikipedia page, which is a nice little optimization in most cases. Unfortunately the 3rd sentence in the first paragraph of that history section contains the gratuitous line about that old bug.

Your issue is with Wikipedia/editors, not Google.

Got the answer "Bitcoin was first mentioned in a 2008 research paper published under the name Satoshi Nakamoto. It is unknown who Satoshi Nakamoto is. In 2009, an exploit in an early bitcoin client was found that allowed large numbers of bitcoins to be created."

What is that bug that Google mentions or is Google making up shit again?

The bug that I think they are referring to was in August of 2010 where you could create a large number of coins.

Very interesting. I did not know that this ancient bug was that severe.

This should be a warning to remain watchful on future releases.

Even if the bug was present how is it relevant to the question? If I google when was Oracle started they don't attempt to undervalue Oracle to potential investors by mentioning early bugs abruptly.

Imagine Googling when was Oracle started, all of the sudden "Oracle was started at 1977 btw it's a shit company"

This wiki article is flawed.

The first wallet program called Bitcoin-Qt was released in 2009 by Satoshi Nakamoto as open source code
The QT variant was not introduced before early to Mid 2012 if memory serves me right, before QT it was using WxWidgets.
