Cybercriminals have tricked users into installing extensions and other scripts into the browser secretly using machine resources to mine bitcoins.
Cryptojacking can be a major cause of user machine delays, overheating, and increased power usage.
According to Wired, Google announced on Monday, April 2, that it will now block cryptojacking extensions submitted to Webstore Chrome, and will remove cryptojacking extensions that existed in July.
