Pablo Escobar loves this company

Pablo hid his money in combination/key safes though, then put them in walls, buried them etc.  Crazy part is there’s still plenty out there. No surprise for the biggest drug dealer of all time.

I had to check mine to see what it said on it as I was certain they came directly from Mick. Below is the image I just captured with my phone (iPhone pics getting better these days). Anybody who wants to make me an insanely high offer that makes absolutely no sense for it, feel free. Cheesy

I didn’t even know these had a year on them until I saw this thread but I can confirm the authentic version does say 2012.

Any chance you could reach out to Mick and see if he or if he knows if anyone who has some of these available, as well as both those 1 gram coins. You helped me get version 2, still need version 1.  (I’ve tried but get no response, I know you’re buddies with him).

Nice to know....do you have any idea what the last time this coin sold for? Or are there any past auctions for reference?

I would be curious to find out what prices this has gotten in the past. It would be a good way to gauge price and perhaps for people to make offers.

Of all the designs to use, why would they use that one? I know it was originally designed by MJB, but it has been completely ruined. Just the amount of shitty AliExpress "coins" I've seen with that specific design makes it instantly undesirable.

Everyone always rips off Mick's design.  It's pretty incredible how he managed to create something that is still being ripped off more than a decade later.  I'm guilty of it too to some extent (I actually paid Mick 'MJB' to create the designs for my Binary rounds as well as my Bitpics).  Whenever I see a creator here use his images though I always try and encourage them to at least send Mick a free one since I doubt they'd consider royalties.  This is something I'd like to see more of from this community.  We should be standing up for creators like Mick instead of buying their designs from creators that simply rip them off.

I agree.  This is something I have made clear to quite a few makers over the years who've claimed to have been the ones to create this design.  Especially those fucks at Cold Coins who have done nothing but rip people off over the years but have been held to absolutely very little accountability overall.   I wonder how one would even be able to tell today which coins are legit MJB ones from the early days.  Is it even possible?

From what I have seen/heard over the years and if I remember correctly, they are stamped with the year "2012" and copper. I think there were some that had a "die-crack" error as well.

Looks like they started working on it in 2011 from the mock up, but you’re right 2012 is stamped on the coin. I wonder if any of the copies also have 2012 stamps on them as well. Will have to go visit my collection and dig some up and check.

All the copies/knock-offs that I have ever seen use the date of 2013

Same, I checked some of their bricks, but the Bitcoin-themed one didn't pop up so far.

Their pricing seems through the roof. But maybe it's just because we are used to industrialized products, looks like they do a lot of manual finishing on their products.
Still... paying $1k to store away 10k appears kind of strange to me.

Anyhow, cool massive Bitcoin brick in their video for sure.

Agreed... you could spend that $1k that on a real safe...  and to add that seems like a display piece and would probably be the first thing taken if you were robbed thus negating it being a "safe" Tongue

Oh I hear ya, but they are pretty damn cool. Out of my price range, but would love to have one. Certainly not a great “safe” as you said, it’s quite clearly something someone would steal first. Shit I bet a good majority of robbers would think it’s actual bitcoin lol.

I hear ya. But I think for most people that aren’t physical crypto collectors, and know what we know and all that, it’s not as big a deal. Also, whether we like it or not, this is by far the #1 most used / recognizable bitcoin coin design. So it’s something most people are familiar with.

It would be pretty sweet if those were made out of silver. That would be an epic piece. Would make my 10oz silver coins look tiny in comparison. I wonder if they would be willing to do a custom silver version. Might have to reach out and get a price for shits and giggles. A gigantic silver minted seat replica would make me happy but I wouldn’t know how to keep this thing from tarnishing. Probably why they don’t use silver.

I imagine a fine silver version would be incredibly expensive. I don’t have any, but I’ve certainly used legit silver silverware before, know what they make it out of and how it typically doesn’t tarnish too badly? Probably not pure silver I’m assuming. Or perhaps it can be coated in something?

Damn.. I really want one of these coins now... I like how the design is mjb monetary metals etc... I wish it had the price Huh

Was this the same silver 1oz coin pictured above I wonder? Too tired atm lol... Tongue

Oh nice find, it’s different than these two in the video. I honestly haven’t spent much time on their site, but this is a cool piece as well. I’d love to have any of these 3 pieces.

I somehow came across these guys and their products a few weeks ago. I think it was on either instagram or YouTube and the algorithm had it pop up for me. What I had noticed was they used a lot of those basic 1oz fine silver bitcoin coins, so that caught my eye. Then this post popped up on my timeline yesterday.

I agree with you guys, very cool but pricey, not sure I can justify it. Would love to have one though.

I don’t really know how to describe these things, but they call them bricks, and they are sort of a way to store & hide coins and paper notes. Check these two massive bitcoin coins out..

Here is the instagram link, will check and see if there’s one up on YouTube here in a bit - https://www.instagram.com/reel/CscZNt_sbNv/?igshid=NzJjY2FjNWJiZg==
