Basically I have this new idea and I want to ask a few questions to see if anyone would be interested in taking part as I don't want to bother setting everything up if no one wants to join in.
My idea is, each week (or maybe fortnight), have a Pool competition on Carom3D (free to download [very popular pool game, played at WCG etc etc] -
http://carom3d.gameis.com/). The competition would last for just one night (and would take around 1-2 hours). It would be double elimination (so everyone gets atleast two games), or group stage then elimination ala world cup depending on the amount of participants.
Entry to the competition would cost a TBC amount... maybe around 0.10 BTC. The winner would win a large majority of the pot, second place would win a smaller percentage (atleast the entry fee) and then third place would win free entry to the next competition. And for everyone else I'd hope that you would have had a fun time playing some pool and getting to know fellow Bitcoin users.
I was thinking of initially running a 9-ball game then perhaps expanding to 8-ball or vice versa depending on what people would want to play... perhaps 9-ball one week, 8-ball the next.
I don't think anyone has tried this before and believe it would be fun for everyone. Just fyi the game is really easy to pick up so it isn't difficult to get playing.
So does anyone have any thoughts on this? Good or bad I don't mind, that's why I'm asking you guys
I don't want to set everything up incase everyone thinks its a crap idea lol.
