As a verified account holder with Bittrex who uses 2FA as well I share my experience with this shitty exchange as follows:
1- I have suffered by scam no 1 ("wallet under maintenance mode" sh*t) occasionally, Bittrex is used to this whenever there is enough heat out there, in the market. It was a violation of my rights as a verified user of a exchange for trading.
2- I have suffered by scam no 3 ( "disabled account" sh*t) recently and for almost a week now. It happened right after the boom period signaled. They redirected my login to a disabled account page and asked me to issue a new selfie of mine, holding my Id ... promising to fix everything in 24 hours or so, I did it, a stupid bot answered: "we are reviewing your sh*t" and nothing more, support is dead and my funds is stuck in their pockets and they are trading (or gambling or buying drugs and sex, who knows?) with it.
I'm from Iran (proudly), my deposits (almost all of them) have come from a super legit source (nanopool) directly. I never trade in $ market ( I hate this "$" sign it reminds me of Nazis sign) , ....

I know, Iknow ... They may release our funds sooner or later and one has right to call it somewhat 'harsh' to name Bittrex exchange a 'scam' but I think it is a scam and I can convince you, I have started thread here

1- Putting wallet under maintenance mode scam: (Bittrex scam warmup practice)
Have you ever noticed in critical periods of the markets, when prices surge or slide vertically, Bittrex has put your wallet in this mode?
2- Downgrading account scam: (Recent mid-range attack on users by Bittrex)
Is your account, already being verified, have been put to a lower level such as basic, losing your right to withdraw significant amounts of your funds on a daily basis?
When did it happen? Was it a critical period, regarding markets?
3- Disabling accounts scam: (Bittrex most aggressive offend on users, recent)
Is your account disabled now?
Have you ever experienced such a blockage before?
Is your account verified by Bittrex previously?
How long your account has been disabled by them?
