Hey, that was an awesome idea, man!

This is like a free commercial three times per hour for BTC!  Grin

Yeah, that's a great idea of getting Bitcoin out there so well done. Great success!

Ha ha, I feel like a bit of a celebrity...I'm getting emails and txt's from friends that say "Hey, I heard your name on the radio"...followed by "Whats Bitcoin".  Cheesy

Good morning everyone. On Monday I sent this email to the morning show of the local radio station I listen to here in Canada's Capital city of Ottawa;

"Hello folks. I thought it might be a good idea, since Dave already does ‘TechBites’ every morning, that he start including the price of Bitcoin when he rhymes off the price of the dollar, the Euro, etc. You guys come across as sort of the hip, new station in Ottawa, and this might help solidify that reputation…maybe even bring in some new listeners. It would also really help in getting the Bitcoin message out to the people, give it some more exposure."

One of the hosts emailed me back, and said it was a good idea, and he would see what he could do (he admitted he didn't know much about it). Well this morning he read my email on the air, and is now including the Bitcoin price when he does his update on the markets, which I think is 3 times an hour. It almost makes Bitcoin sound like a currency when its market price is included along side other currencies. I can see a lot of people going into work and immediately and trying to find out what this Bitcoin thing is. Anyway, maybe other people could do the same in their cities.

The radio station is Live885 (http://www.live885.com/), and is probably the most popular station for younger types in the city, so its definitely being broadcast to the right crowd.

Cheers,
dp
