Your issue isn't the multiple PS.

Your primary issue is that the R9 390 and the R9 380 are MAJOR power hogs.

It's not uncommon for a high-OC R9 390 to eat over 250 watts BY ITSELF, while a high-OC RX series card will usually be under 150 watts.

Moving to a gold PS will help a little - might save 50-75 watts.

For reference - my only remaining ETH rig is a triple R9 290 rig (the 290 and the 390 were the SAME gpu, but the 390 has an updated BIOS and slightly faster RAM) - it soaks a bit over a kilowatt, between the 3 HIGH-OC GPUs pulling down about 29 Mh/s each, the cpu/ram/hd, and 2 high-end Delta AFB 120mm fans in the front AND 4 "side of case HUGE fans" blowing a TON of air to keep the GPUs cool enough to run at full clocks - and that's on the one and only TITANIUM power supply I own.

I'd probably drop power draw 100 watts or close if I moved the rig to open-air, but I just haven't gotten around to it - and it's been my most stable rig for a while now so I'm a bit hesitant TO mess with it.

My rig:
Celeron g1840
Asrock BTC pro 2.0
8GB hyperx 1333mhz
ssd cx 200 120gb
GPUS(modded):
- Rx 470 4GB Asus rog strix 25-27Mhs
- rx 480 4GB MSI Gaming 29Mhs
- R9 390 Gigabyte g1 8gb  29Mhs
- msi 380 4gb gaming 22,5Mhs

Getting 107Mhs(ethereum)

PSUs:
- Acbel 625W 80+Bronze
- Chieftec 550W GX 80+

I can't get psu +1000W so atm im using two psu's:

One for 480(r) + 380(r) + rig
Second for only  R9 390(r) + RX 470(r)
(r) = riser

Now the average power consumption while mining is around 750W(idle rig = 125W), as I can see 2 psu take much more power than one.
When I used one psu(625W) with Rx 470 and Rx 480 it took around 320-350W, after connecting second psu and 390 + 380

Do you think I can still reduce a lil bit power consumption? Or it will change after connecting one psu(gold/plati)

Thanks for any advice
