This coin actually pisses me off. Trying to piggyback on the success of Casascius and Lealana without actually putting in the work to be legit. Lets pretend to be physical bitcoin to get the customers. No address, not funded. I bet there's a 1-800 number the holo. Please call number and well mail you 2 dimes. $4.99 shipping and handling.

Sounds like the Hyperion Gold scam, the 4 guardians coins. Anything from TWC is suspect to me nowadays, they often don't even have the coins they are selling. This one pisses me off as well, I mean I don't mind they are piggybacking myself, but the fact they claim each is loaded with 5k sats or some bullshit. I can already tell if there is some website involved, it will be a scam as far as getting any btc from them. Roll Eyes

Where is @ChiBitCTY ? Cheesy

Lol it kind of has the Hyperion gold smell to it, but as I stated earlier I’m really not positive these coins were discussing here have anything under those holograms. I’m looking forward to someone peeling one and letting the rest of us know.

Owl- speaking of the devil, will DM you tom about Hyperion Smiley

I bought a couple of these.  They look good.  They’re minimally loaded silver coins.  The manufacturer can get away with selling loaded coins mainstream because the loaded amount is about equal to what it would cost to redeem the funds.  There’s so much misinformation about these coins.  Buy them for collectibility? Sure! Other than that, why discuss further?…

Why not discuss it? There’s nothing wrong with doing so plus there’s still stuff left to be discussed with these coins. No one knows for sure if they are truly funded or not.

Is the QR code under the box lid the Public Key? Lets redeem one and see what happens. If the amount isn't enough to redeem, use the Public key and add more so that you can redeem it.

I know a guy that is going to destroy one so that he can make a coin ring. I'll see if he can make a video of the peeling.

no that qr code simply takes you to their website. there is no public address provided at all. as for redeeming it - 1000 sats should be doable - I have processed in the neighborhood of 70-100 txns thru a pay to many and the fee be less than 2k sats.

so depending on the mempool load it is doable - though is it worth it? no... spend 700-800 sats to retrieve 1k sats - cheaper to just buy bitcoin than to buy this coin to get the sats.

The coin was thoroughly discussed here when it was announced and collectively found shitty... Then of course, lot of us (me included) went and bought one because "it looked nice". So the maker is in profit and will indeed continue making other shitty products. Any questions?  Cool

IDK Its a bit smelly

After reading through the comments I am king of wondering why you would go
to the trouble of loading a coin with such a small amount of Satoshi's, so small they
dont even cover the cost of transferring them if you wanted to?

I also might be out of touch with the pricing but €89.90 might be slightly over priced?
granted it does have a nice case.

This made me laugh. Great summary TLDR.

I’ve got a few but if I’m not mistaken they aren’t actually loaded…. It’s some weird process once you find the actual site and read about them. Def cool pieces though

their site specifically state it is funded -- whether it really is or not, I dont know. But they do claim that it is

they even go as far as to state how to redeem the funds...

again - whether they are loaded or not? unknown - if someone wants to send me one to test, I will gladly test but I am not wasting the funds to buy one, that's for sure.

They look good at least.

Yes. While the coins look nice, the value is more in their material than in the amount of satoshis. Nevertheless, I would like to own one!
Who knows, one day 1000 satoshi might be worth enough to peel off that sticker.  Wink

I have a few of these. Nice looking coins. They're funded but only .00001₿ (20¢) I think. Here is the MFG site, it has all the details.

https://ucs-coins.com/

I pre ordered mine and they took 3-4 months to arrive, but I'm assuming they're in stock now. IIRC they shipped from somewhere in Europe.

I’m still not convinced they even are funded. Pretty sure I read they “could be funded”. I don’t trust this company either way personally.  What did they call it, “The United Crypto States” ? lol

also worth noting - the coins do not come with an address - so there is no way to even verify the funding. Although even with an address you then have to trust that the key under hologram belongs to the address provided and then have to trust that the key is secure.

I dont see them taking all that much security with 1000 sats. even their website states it is not worth peeling the hologram.

Not government issued. Coinmaker just using crypto name to sell coins. 1000 satoshis is 20 cents. Cost more then that to swipe it. Although coin and holo are beautiful and ill probably still buy one
