Exchanges have been so far the weakest point of the cryptocurrency world. They operate locally and are subjected to laws and requirements of particular governments.
Not to mention what amount of information about individuals is gathered for verification purposes. I am looking forward to the decentralized exchanges, truly independent and anonymous (well, as much as possible).

They can't. They will try, fail, temporarily close some local centralized exchanges, drive users to the black market, then reimbrace it.

I heard that some countries do that. Such as China, Vietnam, what do you think about that guy?
