Actually, if you give that amount of money to families which are within the classification of low income,
to be technical it's not just low income, it's "low- and moderate-income families" i think alot of people assume that moderate income people dont struggle and that's simply not the case.

it is very likely they will use that money immediately in order for them to cover needs, instead to keeping the money for the sake of cryptocurrency speculation.
well for example say you gave each family $1500 in cash each month and then an equivalent amount of bitcoin each month too. you are teaching them how to manage a cryptocurrency investment.

It does not make much sense for them in that context to promote Bitcoin. Not even mentioning that within the state of New York Bitcoin mining is banned unless it uses completely renewable energy.
It would be a different situation if we were talking of a different state, like Texas, in my opinion.
texas also had a proposed guaranteed income program in one of its counties but it got caught up in some disagreements and went to court. such a shame because everyday they delay implementing that, people are suffering who could be receiving monthly cash payments. but hopefully it will get going soon. what they could do there in texas is fund those guaranteed income programs off the mining operators that they allow to locate there.

What they really should do is give people bitcoin. I think that would help them even more, since their bitcoin could become more valuable. Sure some of them might take some of that money and buy bitcoin but they probably wont.
If only the government would speculate the accordingly without the news not being just one of the media strategies by which some selfish governments gives engages on such public financial sponsorships unrealistically all just in matter of time they could put it in account that such amount of mine was spent amongst the citizens but meanwhile... It is all lies but giving it a benefit of that, I don't think paying the money through Bitcoin would be the right thing because you can not force everyone in to invest on Bitcoin because before the government has turned around on the financial free give away, the citizens has been battling in the pool of poverty so the fund is for the less privileges to mobilize themselves.

You do not need to be surprised that some families or individuals would used theirs to solve pending or immediate challenges while some would invest theirs especially on sectors that would provide them with quick incomes such as stock markets.

Besides... Bitcoin is highily volatile by which the value of the funds received is liable to loos values as far Bitcoin is volatile.
Then let it be a choice of individuals to invest on Bitcoin as pleases.

Governor Kathy Hochul today announced New York State is delivering approximately $350 million in supplemental payments to low- and moderate-income families statewide through the Empire State Child Credit program. More than 1 million families will receive this financial assistance without any need to apply, as each eligible family will receive a direct payment of up to $330 per child.
