Let's just all agree to not use Gox.

I'm done with them after today.

I've never used Gox, only BitStamp.

Why are you back dickwad? I thought you were leaving the Bitcoin community for the "good of Bitcoin". You got owned in this forum for being a scammer and a fucking asshole. Go away....

A Great Time to Start Something!
While I can't blame them for being DDOS attack victims, I can blame them for horrible service, incredibly bad communication, stupid messages on their front page saying 'wait a couple minutes' instead of actually explaining the problem, horrible bullshit lag on the trades that shouldn't exist and lasts for an hour after the attack, various other annoyances that shouldn't exist on an exchange handling people's money.

NamelessOne is right, Gox is an embarrassment.

I understand the need for liquidity. But liquidity will follow service, not the other way around. There's no reason why Coinlab, Coinbase, Bitinstant and so on shouldn't have parallel deals with multiple exchanges.

HEAR HEAR! MtGox only brought troubles to the Bitcoin world. Their software SUCKS, their GUI SUCKS, Mark Karpeles is thoroughly idiotic and useless. I really hope a new exchanger quickly arises.

Yeah, especially since someone DDOSsing their web interface shouldn't cause any lag at the trading engine end.

If people are just doing too much trading they should restrict trades per customer per minute to some value until they have their engine fixed.

Agreed, gox is amateur hour and an embarrassment to bitcoin. It's been giving me a bad gateway for over half an hour now.

They've gotten way too much money for the poor service they provide. I have already started taking my business to other exchanges and I hope others do the same.

I currently dropped them from http://www.ounce.me until they get their shit back in order.

Honestly,  not sure if I want to add them back in even if they get their servers back in order.

The trading lag alone is asinine. These are just the nails in the coffin.
I wish the community would move on.

The problem is that whether we use Gox is irrelevant as long as there are big fish (Coinlab, Coinbase, Bitinstant, et al) using it.

Gox has made too much money for too long to be having these problems.
