Can the price be negotiated? Doing my calculations, this isn't exactly profitable for my use of the GPU.

No,I will be renting out gpu time which is much costlier than that of other scrypt miners.U can mine ASIC resistant coins for scrpyt-N factor,scrypt jane,X11 etc.
