Yes, I tried to get more information about what 50% CPU usage long time can do to your computer in a thread, but I should revisit it to see if some hardware experts can clarify more.  I specified damage to CPU, but they said it doesn't hurt the CPU but other parts, like power related and motherboards.

Check your temperature with a special freeware program and also in task manager check your CPU usage.  I figure high CPU usage is just one indicator of overall computer use.  I don't know what using near full amount of RAM long term does.

Maybe you could mine some new altcoins as the difficulty is low and you can earn something.
Just saying:)

Yes, but the odds of finding a Bitcoin block are astronomical....wouldn't the high risk lifestyle be fun?   Cheesy

Seriously, I need to keep an eye out for new coins where I can find some serious blocks.

Have you done set virtual Memory to 16 !?
AMD overdrive would be a good Program for some action !

Thanks.  That helped a lot.  I am still getting, "internal error link failed.  Make sure the
system setup is correct" and then it hangs with the last line of Claymore saying POOL Version.
But it's giving me some errors about a wrong wallet address which it didn't before so I am
going to have to look at some more stuff.  As far as more stuff about my system, I'll get
to that if I can't get it to go.

I am using an old radeon 6410, the only card this system has, but it should do gpu mining.  I have 6 megs of Ram and a ACPI x64-based PC.
I updated the catalyst, and claymore goes to 100% cpu now, which I don't want.  I want to be able run many other programs and have it use as little CPU as possible.  I thought the gpu was supposed to handle it?  I do plan on upgrading but bought two ASICS so been budgeting this slowly.  Is there any hope for tweaking this system to do GPU mining?  I don't mine letting it have more CPU when I am asleep or away from machine.
