What did you change exactly ?  my card start, lights on etc but they just are not recognized on ethos.

I checked everything coming from psu, interverted everything still the same result, cards on risers not detected. Starting to suspect my 6 risers. I use only one vga cable per card too is it the way to go ?

Also there is 4 switchs close to the pciE16 has it something to do with pci slots ?

I just managed to fix my problem! The Graphic card did not get enough power apparently. One of my new extension cables for the GPU power was broken. It had faulty pins. Check your power!

check if you have somewhere a setting for "Above 4g" or something similar.

i got now a problem too, after reboot just 4 of 6 GPU's are found - might be something with risers? the rig was running 20h without any issue and mining constantly, then reboot and only 4 cards shown Sad

This is a gigabyte mobo not msi, this is the f21 bios from january 2017 https://www.tonymacx86.com/media/img_3244.188126/full

I can not find anything about pci inside, can i boot to uefi ? I m pretty lost, i can flash it to f22 but i m pretty sure it won t change anything

I don t know if it can help anybody to find a solution but here are the specs

1. 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16)
* For optimum performance, if only one PCI Express graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16 slot.

2. 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x8 (PCIEX8)
* The PCIEX8 slot shares bandwidth with the PCIEX16 slot. When the PCIEX8 slot is populated, the PCIEX16 slot will operate at up to x8 mode.

3. 1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x4 (PCIEX4)
* The PCIEX4 slot shares bandwidth with the M2H_32G connector. The PCIEX4 slot will become unavailable when an SSD is installed in the M2H_32G connector.

4. 4 x PCI Express x1 slots
(All of the PCI Express slots conform to PCI Express 3.0 standard.)

1. Bios Update to latest Version
2. Above 4g > enable
3. UEFI only mode
4. PEG0/1 maybe to Gen1 or leave Auto - just try to change
5. PCI Latenency to 64

At least for the Z170A gaming m5 from MSI this is required (there is a threat about that topic) - just check if that settings might help you too.

Hello

Im new here , and here is my problem :

I m slowly building a rig as a newbie, until today I had a gigabyte  z170x gaming 6 with 2 rx580 on the pci express slots running perfectly on ethos.
I decided to upgrade it with 3 rx 570 so i bought them and thoose risers ( http://www.lazada.co.th/2017-ver006c-1x-to-16x-pci-express-riser-card-pci-e-extender-60cmusb-30-cable-sata-to-6pin-ide-power-for-btc-miner-intl-20501882.html?ff=1 )

Now i can not get any card connected with the risers working, either i plug it on the pci express or the pci.

I can see 3 issues

1/ All 6 risers are broken, or I bought wrong risers, i don t know I never used one but odds are slim it s pretty easy.
2/ Maybe should I change something in the bios but i don t see anything about GPU despite it is almost the last bios, f21
3/ you tell me

Thank you !
